Im more wary of this game said to be a dating sim, i have always doubts when someone says that because many still thinks that VN and Dating Sims are the same thing. If its an actual dating sim i will be happy.

Once again, as with a lot of discussions on here, it depends on what you play your visual novels for, whether you will enjoy the naming feature or not.
 
Honestly, I don't see the big problem with the feature.  So apparently there is cognitive dissonance caused for some readers when they see their name on the screen and hear the voice say "you"... but I have no problem at all absorbing both pieces of information without so much as skipping a mental beat.

Your title is very misleading. For future reference Dating Sims are sim games where the goal is to get together with a girl, they make liberal use of stats and are not what you're looking for.

*IF* the full version is proven popular, that is. This kind of moege does not seem to suit everyone, but it'd be nice if lots of people like it.
 
Either way, it's still too early to say anything, in terms of the full game, we ain't even 1% done... ^^;;

Well, this is yet to be tested by us, but as far as I know, the game engine is a really nice guy, so we *should* be able to display any name. Will need to confirm though.

I have a soft spot for Galuf, he was just so badass when 

probably the most badass feat in any FF.
 
Second would be Squall Leonheart.

Not at all, only the protagonist gets raped every now and then (But he doesnt oppose resistance) but thats because he seems to rarely take advances at the heroines so they have to do it first. The whole game is pretty lighthearted except at certain story scenes (But nothing too dark).
 
Sadly it seems the world conquest genre is filled with rape with few exceptions like this and Koihime Musou, wich is sad since i would love to play them but i cant stand rape.
 
As for the difference between both there are many but dont worry both are self contained so once you beat Gold you can go back to the original without any trouble.
 
So what Gold has new is:
>New characters and new designs for some characters (Like the Protagonist that in my opinion looks far cooler in Gold).
>New synthesis and shop system.
>New battle type (Not used all the time)
>Almost every Heroine getting a sex scene (Around 56 or so characters have H-scenes compared to the first game when roughly half the cast didnt got any scene).
>All heroines get enough screen time (In the original the japanese characters, Mainly Himiko and Arthur were given more schreen time).
>Entirely new soundtrack (Far superior than the original in my opinion)
 
The only part were the original surpass Gold is in the story but Himiko is pretty annoying since the game shoves her and to a lesser extent Arthur as the main heroines with many H-scenes for them to boot.
 
Anyways be sure to use the english UI patch for Gold available in Hongfire.

Yes, Kanon is a great staring point. Kanon was a revolutionary VN that really helped establish story based Visual Novels. Before Kanon visual novels were mostly just hentai games. There were a few that tried to tell a story before Kanon, but it was really Kanon's success that stopped Visual novels from being exclusively porn games. It disappoints me how most people aren't very enthusiastic about Kanon on these forums as it is not only historically important but honestly quite good. A lot of creativity went into most of the character routes. On top of Kanon having some really imaginative stories, it is really well written. I even wrote a whole a whole literary analysis in which I deconstructed a complicated friendship between two characters. (Link to my analysis is in my signature).
 
In conclusion you should definitely read Kanon.

Compared to how many seiyus the game has i think it has a lot of VA, only treasure and some story events arent voiced while all heroine events are.

It depends on your skills in perspective.
I'm guessing that if it's enough to turn on a person, then it's alright.
I think they only consider how the girl looks, since that's where we focus.
Damn me if anyone looks at the MC more than the girl he fucks.
 
Also, about flying penises...
I've seen an eroge with actual flying penises.

Hi im new here, im not much of a visual novel enthusiast as i only play VNs with nameable MCs (Wich as spected narrows m list of available games by a long shot) for self insertion as such.
 
So i hope to be around here more oftem than i spect.
