I really dont care about the point of the story. They made the answer to give some kind of closure to the cast but that doesnt include the many social link characters affected with his death, they get no closure so i want him back. Besides the series always talks about how humanity can improve, you can see that by demons coming back in P5 since humanity's conciousness improved which is why Shadows (The enemies not the ones representing a particular human) dissapeared or how the fog in the TV world (Part of humanity's conciousness) dissapeared, they can always use that to say that humanity's desired for death no longer makes Erebus bring Nyx. I mean this is a series where reality can be shaped at will (Nyarlathotep making rumors real) or an entire new timeline can be created (Philemon creating a new universe to compensate for allowing Nyarlathotep destroying the current one). ATLUS seems to love pandering to their audience so im sure all of these setups are to bring him back.

I only read visual novels who have either a nameable protagonist or unnamed one. VNs with that feature are really low compared to how many visual novels are out there so even though my selection is relatively short it at least leaves me with a very manageable catalog of games. Also helps that they are usually nukige so i usually skip the H while reading the rest of the novel (And sometimes that helps me apreciate a VN more, like i read Youkuso Sukebe Elf no Mori e, i was hyped for being a vanilla elf nukige but my favorite aspects of it are the non-H parts which has genuinely good character development and the whole relaxing campy setting). So maybe a good way for you is to think of what is your favorite "tag" and then filter VNs based on that tag and look for the higuest rated one, you will likely find something appealing to you and if you hopefully finish everything with that tag you move to another one of interest. Or just look Michi's blog and see what of those releases catches your attention as they cover not only moeges but also storgyges or moenukiges.

Most "normies" would rather watch Hentai or see normal porn. Sure there is the angle of being "forbidden" but thing is steam and console VNs still fares better than its PC uncensored counterparts because of its lack of sex content wich people play on its story and character values witouth specting being rewarded with porn.

Well thats the very heart of the problem. Though i think if you recomend anything that doesnt revolves around the MC getting laid you will get close to closing the gap. So DR, 999, VLRs i think are the VNs you should recomend. Doesnt matter if its the focus. If your VN contains porn and it revolves around getting laid with girls then you will always get the same results. VNs that dont revolve around these two are the ones that get played by casuals and new to the medium. Again doesnt help people complaining about porn removal on VNs because you create the perception in people´s mind: "Wow these people refuses to play that game because he isnt going to get rewarded with Porn". Its like saying you play Huniepop for the gameplay. No one is simply going to believe you. Is an stigma that wont dissapear. Heck even in Japan VNs are considered for Otakus wich are the Nerds of the japanese community.

As i said its not relevant the reason for what you played but more what content you played. Now how many of those VNs were on consoles? Because the stigma of VN=Porn will come frequently when talking about PC tittles. Besides porn also most consider VNs for lonely otakus that play them for virtual GFs (Hence why many labels VNs as date sims) so there is really little you can do to change your usual circle of friends perception of the medium. Doesnt help either the many people being vocal about the non h versions being worthless because the porn gets removed.

You can play them for diferent reasons but the heart of the matter that the medium is tied heavily with porn to the point that the general opinion is that VNs are porn wish fullfillment medium. Good luck on it. I havent touched Tokimemo 1 but i did play and complete Tokimemo 4 and Mitsumete Knight (Tokimemo spiritual successor that kinda flopped) so i guess playing the game that started it all should be fun. Tokimemo 2 looks the most interesting though.

Dont worry the game is pretty easy just save at the choice time and choose the one with the better outcome per girl you want. For the "harem" end choose one good option per girl and one bad option per girl. Remember that to get Yuna route you need to not select anyone at the kokuri event. Its been a while sorry so i dont remember wether you choose a girl to interact with (wich for harem end means choosing one girl per choice and select the correct answer) or its just a chain of events. There are only 4 heroines being Yuna, Ren, Tsundere blonde and the teacher so dont get surprised if the other girls arent romanceable (Thats on the sequel not available in the west)

I disagree. Self inserting doesnt have any set of rules. For instance look at the medium as a whole were the faceless MC is still the rule rather than the exception even when they get a face they lose it at H-scenes because the japanese thinks and feel that a faceless MC is an optimal self insertion. Then you have people like me that only self inserts if the MC is silent or is nameable, the faceless dude doesnt do shit for me because my "rule" for a good self insert is different. There are no set rules it always depends to what lenghts you are able to go for self inserting. And then there are the "im a little girl" crowd as well.

Charages are about character development while moege are about cute characters doing cute things, charages can have characters that were on a previous relationship or teachers with sexual experiences. Moeges cant have anything that deviates from the cute virgin innocent heroines. For instance recently https://vndb.org/v16070has been causing a lot of controversy because the heroine made a joke about cheating on the protag wich in a moege has no place because thats not cute at all but a charage could get away with it. So the diference is basically the range of heroine personalities they can have, moege limits the heroines it can have while charage can have more to build character development.

I played old VNs/DS like True love and Nocturnal Illusion, did play all routes barring Makoto´s in Kanon unvoiced and i plan to play Clannad unvoiced as well so yeah i play VNs unvoiced.

Most dating sims arent like that though, interactiosn with heroines comes from your current stats, school events and from setting up dates. Few things about dating sims are random.

You cant wash aways everything with "itsanimeidonthavetoexplainshit", you cant always ignore QUALITY artwork just because its anime. Im not sure why would someone compare a dragon to an anime girl to make a point lol.

Well she was designed to be cute and i have seen people say she is cute but anyways i dont think a witch will do much and its not like she will be able to carry the whole game on her back.
