If I'm not wrong, every 07th Expansion game, or at least the ones that matter, use real place pictures for background, so Umineko, Higurashi, Rose Guns Days are all in the real Japan. I even recall seeing a post, I think it was on mangagamer, about the real mansion where Umineko takes place

I really, really expect them to have subtitles. In a story driven game not to have them in cinematic scenes, or at least the option to it is totally bad. Not only they would limit the full imersion to those who can understand the language perfectly in English, they would shove away all deaf fans of Zero Escape. And of course whoever plays it in japanese and doesn't understand it .-.

Main characters for me are the ones that interact with the protagonist and the story, that have a relevance and actually matter to the plot. Dating the side characters would not make them more important, it would only make the main girls loose this function of being the protag's date. Sorry Nosebleed, I cannot read japanese yet ;<

Imagine something like Koichoco. The main girls are those ones from the cover. But you end up dating Ariake, the "otome" girl. The main girls are NOT the heroines, and you'd end up dating characters that usually are the side characters. You could also think on Dramatical Murder. Instead of one of the MC's, you decided to date one of the gangs guys. A game like this, where you date side characters and the MCs end as just friends.

What I want here is a game tha, instead of the main girls [the ones that always interact with the MC] having routes, the side characters are the ones with routes. I don't mean fandiscs, I'm talking about the main game from the franchise within.

I may be wrong here, but I remember Amaterasu's translator saying they would take this translation slowly compared to previous ones

Maybe the comparison to Root Double is more in the way that RD was handled by a pro-company with a lot of Kickstarters in their back, and it was almost a failure. If it was handled by an amateur, it would be like this Chusingura.

I have to second Charlotte. I didn't imagine that a Key story would be so bad and poor written. I could not care less about every character and the plot. Shigatsu no Kimi no Uso. I was hoping for a drama and ended with Gintama's level of comedy. I don't dislike comedy, or Gintama, but the way they sold the anime and the way it was done made me drop it very early. I started watching Hibike Euphonium at the same time and it was a thousand times better.

A VN with some / lots of choices, but that don't change anything during the common route, and you only see the results when the other routes happen? For example, you have a common route with 5 questions, 2 choices for it. Even if you choose every single one of them, nothing will be changed in the story, not even some lines, but after you finish the common route, you get the results of that choices. If you didn't get the idea, you can ask me to explain it.

Well, I think it would be nice to have an eyepatch, since Fuwa has the whole history and stuff about pirating games [and because I love eyepatches] I agree with the human + animal suggestion, it would be something different from the common and could be made in a way that would please everyone
