The entire controversy is completely one sided. Nobody was complaining about DOAX3 at all, if their only reason for not publishing it in the west was fear of feminist criticism then that's a pretty lousy reason, and I don't think anyone of importance brought it up. A lot of people are crying censorship on the whole thing but that's just bullshit, nothing is stopping them from localizing the game they just decided not to do it.
I'm probably wrong but this entire thing reeks like a publicity stunt.

I think asking for an anime that's about fanservice to be on the same scale on what some would consider some of the greatest masterpieces of anime might be setting your scales a bit too high. It's a pretty unrealistic expectation to be frank.
The Monogatari series is a good example of a great anime with a good story and ecchi elements, though I know some wouldn't consider it an ecchi series (MAL doesn't have an ecchi tag for it) it certainly has it's moments of fanservice.
Edit: But overall fanservice in anime does send a really mixed message to a lot of western audiences. The west are such prudes.

I hope to remain optimistic that the Sakura games will start getting good and maybe Sakura dungeon will actually be fun to play. They have a pretty decent artist and I kind of want to see their games flourish cause I always want to see good titles.
However, it is very amusing to make fun of them....

Finished Aoi's route in Hoshimemo. Definitely the second best route in the game next to Komomo's. On to Chinami's route next, I hope it's a good one because I'm kind of dreading it.

You could but why spend an extra 20 bucks when you're not going to use the voices? It's just nice to have the option not to buy it if you don't think you're going to use it.

In my opinion it's not too much like Battlefield but it's not too much like Battlefront either. I would have preferred a game more like the original battlefront games with space battles and finding actual vehicles instead of tokens.
