Well, here I am. 24 years of living a life of ups and downs, and I am finally ready to pursue my dream of teaching English in Japan. It's funny really, because it feels like I am saying goodbye to so many things in my life by doing this. While that may be true in some cases, it's sad to think of moving on that way. Most people tell me that this is a new beginning and something to look forward to, and I agree with them; I wouldn't be standing here today were it not for so many friends and family supporting me along the way. It's interesting actually because my major in college had nothing to do with Japanese language or the culture of Asia. I was a French and Italian double major, and to this day my parents still question why Japan is something I want to end up doing. Honestly, I can say part of the reason is because of the awesome people I met on this website.

Now before you read on, let me reiterate the fact that I chose this path in my life for many reasons, but this website and its many unique personalities are what drove me to continue down this path. The family aura emanating from this website is both heart warming and inspiring at the same time, and I know that no matter what anyone says, that feeling will always remain with me where ever life may lead. One of the greatest things about doing the podcast is getting to know all of the unique individuals from this site, and it always puts a smile on my face when I hear people comment on how friendly all of these people are; it really is something special. That being said, this message is not a reflection on my time spent on this website or a means to communicate how awesome it is, but rather this message is a thank you to every single person I have had the pleasure to meet on Fuwanovel.

Thank you everyone. Thank you for being who you are and what you do. To all the people I have had the pleasure of working with, thank you. To all the members I have made friends with outside of this website, thank you. To all the upcoming people about to create a great legacy for a website that means so much to them, thank you. Thank you Fuwanovel, I cannot say it enough. To every single person I have had the pleasure of being a friend with from this site, I love you. You are all fantastic individuals (no matter how much you troll sometimes ) and deserve to be praised for it. You have all given me a chance to do something I enjoy doing for no monetary value whatsoever. You have given me what I love most about doing what I do for this website, and that is the joy of others. Sure, it may sound stupid, but in essence it's the truth. I love making other people happy and I love seeing people excited, because it really does put a smile on my face.

Please, I ask you to continue being who you are and to continue being a family. Each one of you is an amazing person, and I cannot stress that enough. So for that reason, I say a final thank you, and hope to see all of you sometime in the future and in Japan. Who knows, hit me up sometime when you are around there and we can grab a bite to eat!

    Thank you Fuwanovel, for everything.

Don't worry, this isn't another appreciation thread (dear god almighty), but I just wanted to say the activities the staff has been hosting this month have been an awesome way to involve the community. The forums have felt more active than normal. The MotM and the logo competition are fun additions.

So, I've read over 300 VNs (without counting nukiges). It's been really a lot, I often find out that most people I talk to here haven't read even a tenth of that. Kind of lonely, actually-  there are tons of great VNs I'd love to discuss with people, but I can't seem to find anyone else who has read them.

Well, I learned (still learning, I guess) jp because of them. After there wasn't anything translated to read anymore, I had to go after the untranslated ones. I most likely won't use it for anything besides browsing pixiv and reading VNs, but it's entertaining anyway.

In the end, VNs are my main source of entertainment. I do a lot of exercise to keep healthy, but those aren't fun, they're just necessary. I've found myself charmed by the way VNs can tell stories. While I do have my complaints about them (for example, way too much romance) they're still pretty fun.

So, yeah. They bring me lots of fun, which overall makes my mood better. That's the small impact VNs have every day in my life~

hsmsful got a reaction from Boon in Anime's you wish could be re-written?
There are many anime that I wish they could be written
but out of all , I wish Chaos; Head was rewritten, wasted a lot of its potential plus the VN was really good (according to other people cause I haven't read it) but the anime was bad imo

Edit:most of the anime that need to be rewritten were mostly the adaptations of a long VN or games (blazblue for example) in single cour anime aka 12 or 13 episodes. but other than that, there are some anime that wasted their potentials such as death note, Itazura na kiss and Ao no Exorcist

hsmsful got a reaction from hussien-11 in Having friends that also plays Visual Novel
I have like two friends who play VNs and it is really fun to talk about VNs with them but sometimes I think it is not necessary because I had that time when I like stopped watching anime and playing VNs because we were talking all the time about VNs..... it was really bad. That's why I gave up about teaching anyone VNs since I don't want them to waste my time :v
I tried once but a friend of mine found it boring and gave up after a while since he was bored(I told him to try majikoi since he is the "romcom" kind, maybe it was a bad choice) .... that's to be expected cause after all not all people love reading all these words found in one VN since we were not raised accustomed to reading a lot  , I dunno why I put it that way and not all people are good in English.
That's really important, I have one of my friends who's reading visual novels but we rarely read the same VNs. For example currently, I am playing Rewrite while he's playing G-senjou no maou so .... we don't really have anything to talk about right now. Especially that the only VNs we have both played are katawa shoujo and fate.
Well yeah they are getting more and more famous and popular even in middle east but I think that's mainly due to the anime adaptaions. It is like how people start reading manga , at first it is to complete something whose anime adaptation wasn't completed like Slam Dunk for example, then they start reading different manga. That was how I got into VNs but the main thing was that I like games where "your choices affect the storyline" , but I quickly got addicted to VNs that I do't really play anything other than them.

hsmsful got a reaction from babiker in H-Scenes. Really necessary?
Well I don't know if it was mentioned before but the solution from my point of view is to do what Katawa Shoujo did
The skipping H scenes option , it was so good and so useful especially since I am not a fan of H scenes
All games should do that, but well tbh they aren't necessary at all as long as they don't affect the storyline , for example they affect the storyline in fate so they are necessary in fate and so one
However there are perverts who want VNs with H scenes , I don't really mind and it is easy for us to avoid them , just (make sure you have checked the option of skipping read text) skip all the scenes
So I don't think they need to change anything in the industry
And I for one can't stand H scenes, I can't go through many of them, my mentality can't keep up, it has been that way even with porn
So they don't need to change anything as I said before
