I still haven't played Interview with Kaziklu Bey because I'm saving it for a truly rainy day.

I avoided reading Clannad and Steins;Gate for almost a year because I was afraid of being disappointed due to my high expecations. I loved them both once I got around to them, so I've decided to not wait around anymore if there's anything I'm really interested in.

In the case of KnS, you should consider putting it off until the third game (fourth, if you count Cartagra) is released. I kinda wish I had, because it's pretty tough having to wait for an uncertain amount of time to experience the conclusion to the story.

I may be alone in this but I find myself constantly putting off VNs that I know are amazing for the sole reason that when I finish a series the feeling of sadness that it's gone is terrible? Here is a good example of what I mean: I read Cartagra a while back and I loved practically everything about it! It was so suspenseful. It was the first VN where I was actually scared for the characters in it. I never knew what was going to happen. I know that KnS and the second one are going to be even better. No other VN series can capture the magic that this series has. This is the problem though. I like to save the best for last but my "last" feels like never going to read. I know when I start reading them its going to be a binge read and once there are no more I'm going to feel like shit since you only can only have one first experience. 
Some other VNs that I do this too are the Grisaia series (I started the first a little and liked it but eventually put it on hold and havn't returned since).
 
It also doesn't help that now my VN reading time is consumed entirely by untranslated VNs since I want to keep increasing my reading ability. I should probably add a little time during the day to read a good VN that I will understand better when translated so I don't miss anything being said.

Hoi! I just wanted to ask why you guys like to play visual novels, i'm not sure why i guess i just like hearing other peoples reasons for why they like them!^^ I guess it wouldn't be fair to ask without giving my own reasoning though, the reason i like Visual Novels is because I've always been attracted to the idea of them, the idea that its story and you're the one who gets to pick how its told has always been cool to me!

I started to really get into VNs when my depression was at its worst. But even dark stories usually make me feel better as they at least evoke an emotional response.
The reason I read VNs is a different one though. I like reading, but need auditory stimuli to really concentrate, so VNs are the perfect compromise between those two things.

To slow down the growth of my growing depression. Ironically sometimes they make me feel worse. Those are always fun.

I ran it on my windows 10 laptop. I ran ITHVNR with admin rights and the game with admin rights. I never had any problems with it.

Other girls are interested in him but it's very much about a couple.

Say I love you for drama - an 8/10 for me
Rakudai Kishi for fantasy - a 10/10 for me

Ok I see how it could bring some tears

The Fruit of Grisaia certainly has some moments (has some of the darkest moments I've read in a VN, it was the first time I cried in a VN too).
* Eden . If you want a tragic love story.
* ef . Man did this punch me in the feels.....
 
And here's some I havn't read yet, but have heard about....
* Narcissu . About terminal illness.
* Subarashiki . Apparently one of the darkest and most messed up VNs ever.
* Enigma . Life and Death drama.

It doesn't have to be that super realistic. That's not what I meant. It's just that very often the characters are someone else during those scenes and after that they are back to their old selves. What makes this so story breaking is the feeling that when you get to those scenes it's like: Story end - begin fanservice - end fanservice - continue story. The flow is interrupted and I hate that. But I guess there's also a lot of people looking forward to those moments. I simply wonder sometimes why there isn't an option to toggle those scenes, then everybody would be happy- like they did in Komyu.

I am watching the Oscars right now, and like the grammy's, the VGA, do you think at some point in the future we will have a visual novel awards?

Length of the route doesn't bother me that much. It can be different for each girl if it makes sense. I hate seeing stories dragged out just because.
Though, I prefer it when the girls have the same amount of H-scenes. It triggers me when the girl I like gets less than the others, lol. Unless it's a side route or something, of course.

Madam Ujaku? Haha yeah I like her too. I also wanted a Rin route but there's obviously reasons why there isn't one lol

I love the common route, it has me hooked and I generally love the characters outside of their routes. It's just that some of the routes are weird and feel tacked on, that's the only issue I have with it really.

So I'm almost finished with Cartagra and I have to say that the majority of the routes are so fucking stupid. Nana's gave me whiplash, and Koyuki's and Seri's just felt so out of place and wasn't necessary. I'm nearly done with Takaka's route but really, who cares about her anyway? She seems to have appeared out of nowhere and then youre fucking her by the end of the night when you're hanging out. I'm hoping that since it's the nightmare end that she dies or something like that since I find her pretty annoying.
At least Hatsune's route was pretty nice and I like her a lot. I'm hoping that Kazuna's route is good since I like her too and I really don't want the VN to fuck her up like it did with Nana since she was pretty interesting until her route.
