Well, having ntr knocks it down from the "to read" list pretty quickly.

And so, today I finished Saki no Love Love Honeymoon. It was great. This fandisc for Yukizakura is exactly what it says on the tin - Yuuji's and Saki's summer trip to one southern island - in kind of "pre-honeymoon", as it is set between their engagement and Saki's route ending.
Pretty short, but sweet. Somehow, it has put me into extraordinarily good mood. It reminded me how great heroine Saki was (there were many moments where I just wanted to hug her), and her relationship with Yuuji is amazing as well. I loved how often they were totally in phase, understanding each other. Their conversations about future were nice too. Whole game is filled with love - including 2 h-scenes. 
Most of the game is narrated from Saki's point of view - interesting change. Also, it's kind of "crossover episode", as side characters (Yoshioka family) and setting (Matsukawa Island) come from another D.O. VN - Uminomichi. (which I added to my backlog )
I think I could rate this small side story even a bit higher than main game, and give it 8/10.
Also, I have to say that, for what it's worth, I found it much easier to read than ToHeart.
Like I said in my previous post, for my next VN I'm going to go back to the translated world, and read Hitotsuba, I think.

That soundtrack . . . i can't describe how incredible it is. Combine the amazing soundtrack with the sad story is just guaranteed tears. I cried multiple times during that. It was so beautiful.

Sweet! I het it when a VN has you watch a heroine get NTR'd while you are on a different heroine's route. This VN sounds like it has everything I could ask for. The art is incredible! Gonna go knock up some chicks lol

* Grisaia no Kajitsu . Certainly has it's moments (even one year onwards, I still think about THAT flashback). And don't let the over the top comedy in the common route fool you either. It's a particularly long read...
* Clannad . If this doesn't make you shed tears, I don't know what will (though mostly for me, it was of the bittersweet variety).
* Planetarian . Dat ending...... (got me real good). Pretty short VN.
* ef - a fairy tale of the two . Boy did this VN scramble my emotions. Amazing soundtrack though.

Eden* They Were Only Two, On The Planet. - not much to say. Only that it also has great soundtrack.

I'm very shallow at picking if i have too much to pick from. I go to vndb and see the art and read the tags and the plot introduction. If everything checks out and it seems to be something i'd like then i go for it. But now i'm just like many others, and just waiting for releases as there aren't really that much good left to choose from.

It happened to me when I read the Muv-Luv series. I grew so extremely fond of the characters there (after all I spent like 170 hours with them!?) that when I realised the story was nearing its end I only read very little each day because I wanted to stay with them and because I knew it would take quite an effort to start another story and get used to new characters there. When I had finally finished Muv-Luv Alternative I even made a short VN break (like 3 weeks) to digest everything that had happened there.
So yes, I can absolutely understand you! Although in the end my curiosity always gets the better of me and I manage to finish the VN

Not usually. Only when i want to read something that'll potentially be depressing then i'll try to save some good stuff to rejuvenate with afterwards.

I know how you feel, that’s why I went on to read Kara no Shoujo. Which is the sequel to that. The characters you love do take a back seat as new characters show off their skills and solve a new intense scary mystery.
