  1. As Ranzo has his own self-appreciation corner, Happy Birthday to @Zvana!
  2. Wouldn't be more appropriate to order the demonesses to make out with each other? Oh, well, I guess he can do that himself now. ----------------------- Anyways, Happy Birthday to You, Wolf-That-Will-Devour-All-Creation. I present you this offering of cute yuri and aks for salvation from your wrath!
  3. Welcome, welcome! Feel encouraged to post after all, especially if you ever need recommendations or advice. And either way, hope you'll have fun around here!
  4. Hmmm, I'm afraid this might leave many VNs forever unfinished. Planetarian for example... l'm sure there are fanfics that fill the gap though. ^^ -------- Edit: Oh, and I've shared my opinion on the topic in a previous thread, I think it very much still stands: Edit 2: [redacted] @Zander Ok... Boooring...
  5. If players' frustration by itself could kill publishers most of the companies currently dominating the gaming market would be long dead and gone.
  6. That's a very strong statement. It might be true that no one is this cute at a closer inspection, but I'm very much sure that there are people capable of maintaining absurdly cute personas pretty effectively. And if anyone would bother to do that it would be teenage Japanese girls.
  7. l'm afraid the only possible punishment for thread necromancy is death. We'll miss you. You should never believe the hype unless you know the game is exactly up your alley. I keep healthy skepticism to everything I approach unless I can tell it will cater precisely to my tastes (I'm a simple man, you see, give me a piece of cute, well-written yuri and I'll never be disappointed). I find it funny btw that this whole thread is about hating on the Grisaia's common route which is probably my favorite part of it. I've always found it very well written and relaxing. Well, to each their own, this world would be boring without polar-opposite opinions.
  8. Welcome to Fuwa! I hope our little community will meet your expectations.
  9. The way she dodged all questions about hentai in "what are you playing" thread makes me think she ideed is a Japanese girl that cares deeply about her cute public image.
  10. Well, that's not what you usually find in CoC. Same to you, Happiness.
  11. It's actually a space station made by Lizardpeople to monitor Earth FYI.
  12. I guess this makes sense, the Steam version is available worldwide as it's a different product from what was already available in Japan, while Denpasoft's 18+ version is exclusive to the West... Interesting, the inner-workings of eroge industry are super-intriguing sometimes.
  13. I won't be surprised if they block it too in time, usually Japanese companies don't want to risk western releases being available on their own market, considering differences in pricing, sale discounts etc. BTW, Wagamama High Spec seems to be one of those rare Steam versions of eroge where hentai scenes cannot be unlocked with a restoration patch. It's interesting, because I've heard that the original version have TONS of them and it's unusual for Sekai Project to permanently cut those out.
  14. I actually forgot that Wagamama has a Steam version. I would be surprised if Ayase's brother was only buying all-ages versions of his eroge though, the corruption might already be deep.
  15. I meant that there's no gameplay in WagaHigh but there is a ton of hentai there, so the main "skill" people reading it "train" is fapping. Sorry for my crude "humour".
  16. On yeah, arguing with flat-earthers and young-Earth creationists is a classic... A totally pointless one though. It obvious that if these were rational human beings, open for actual discussion and interested in scientific proofs, they wouldn't believe that crap in the first place. Same goes for hardcore conspiracy theorists, talking to them can't lead to anything, you can just debunk them publicly to save others from falling to the same paranoia, but you won't convince such people of anything - after all every arguement and fact can be rejected by them simply as "part of the conspiracy".
  17. You mean... Your English skills? There's only one other "skill" that could be trained with WagaHigh and it was my first thought before I saw your introduction and realized you're Japanese. ...I'm not jugding if it's that other meaning after all, of course.
  18. Welcome to Fuwa! Your English is really good! As always, it's really exciting to see some Japanese VN fans in our little community. I hope you'll like it here. ^^ Can you tell us something about what genres or titles you like the most?
  19. I've seen that arguement before, but aren't most trap characters just crossdressers, rather than transsexuals? I understand that they might encourage negative stereotypes, but that doesn't seem to be the intention in most cases. --- Going back to the topic, I've one had a day-long political arguement with someone on YouTube until we both realized that I've misunderstood his initial arguement and we actually agreed with each other all along. GG.
  20. It is pretty short and very straightforward from what I've read about it. It's quite possible that the English version was in the works for some time already - or it simply will be a rushed mess, I don't think it would be below Pulltop/MoeNovel to mess up something this simple. :>
  21. Note: This game was already reviewed on Fuwa by Valmore, I encourage you to check out his review as well Those that follow this blog for a while might have noticed that I like to complain about the lack of identity that many Western-made VNs suffer from. As a medium utilized pretty much exclusively by the fans of original Japanese visual novels, EVNs far too often borrow extensively from those when it goes to setting and story elements, to the point of replicating various tiring anime clichés and kitsch tropes. They also frequently copy elements that really have no interest being in a game created by someone living in the USA or Europe, more often than not having only very superficial knowledge of Japanese culture and reality of life in Japan. A Little Lily Princess, developed by Hanako Games and published on Steam in May 2016 (under the "Hanabira" label, signifying an outside scriptwriter), is a game that I like bringing up as an example of a Western VN that was able to differentiate itself from the crowd and create unique experience exactly because of the ability to not be completely defined its “weeb” roots, creating a setting and a story far detached from typical anime tropes. Paradoxically, the classic English novel A Little Princess, that this game adapted into the VN/dating sim format, is not a title unknown to anime fans, thanks to the highly-rated series from the 1980’s, Little Princess Sara (it even inspired a few less known projects, such as the slightly outlandish Strain: Strategic Armored Infantry). Hanako’s version tries to differentiate itself from those other adaptations mostly by giving a yuri spin to the story – still, as I will try to show in this review, calling it a yuri romance is rather misleading and says little about the true appeal of this game.
