  1. I dunno, after this and enduring the painful common route (already skipping, of course) to get into Sakuya's route, Terra better be something really awesome (which of course it won't) to save this shitty game. Because Moon, people say it isn't. Getting to Terra seems like bypassing the engulfing flames to save your dear one. The Key train is wrecking, especially with this poor attempt to rehash X/1999 in a totally non-interesting way. Also, only playing Lucia's route and getting a glimpse of the true background behind the game, you see that this isn't serious writing. The game has far better presentation than Little Busters, but as a Key work one reads it for the feels or at least for the story & character interaction. With the likes of this I expect Key going bust in under 5 years.
  2. Lucia's route is crap tier. Made me stop playing for months.
  3. But you have Mike Einel. Don't complain too much! About pee, Wanko to Kurasou has no less than 3 scenes, and may have more since I dropped it. About head patting, it's usually accompanied by the word "erai" (good boy/girl), it's like some acknowledgement of good or proper behaviour.
  4. *** POP *** + Natalie Imbruglia "Left of the Middle": a favorite album of mine. Late 90's goodness. + Belinda Carlisle "Real": that's my favorite album of hers, also check out "Heaven on earth" and "Runaway horses" (great title song) + Mike Oldfield (any): you want Mike for his guitar solos and immersive atmospheres, he's mostly a rock musician though. Has a lot of instrumental work, and also vocal songs. *** REGGAE *** + The Hotknives "Home": great sounds by keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. + Smooth Beans "Keep Talking": they have 2 LP's and around 3 singles: "At low fyah", "Cantabria's finest", "Sing, flip and twist", and "Awake!". Nice local band that's making it big abroad, and they deserve it. *** HARD ROCK *** + Nordic Union "Nordic Union": great band that's not that hard, easy to listen to. But maybe you'll find they need more pizazz, your mileage may vary. I recommend listening before applying, and if you like it then you go to Google Play Store or Apple Store and get them.
  5. Huh. Before I read this, I was always bent on buying ZTD, ASAP, no matter what. Now I think I'll play more careful. Considering the funding/development problems the third part has had, and also the great pressure Uchikoshi has to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the massive mindfuck ZE is, chances are it will be a disappointment.
  6. There are many tastes for beers, even cherry-flavoured. It's Belgian, and it's good.
  7. Not only do you need to treat your love interest well, you need be proactive. After all, one could have the finest intentions, if you don't get to show them, they're as good as nothing. IRL, most women will outright ignore you if you don't approach them properly. Compare this with eroges where the girls are won off from minute 1.
  8. Still, lots of MCs are rather low on empathy towards their heroines. I don't speak of otomes because I haven't played them and they're niche in the niche.
  9. Well, since it has to do some explaining of the protag's background, it spends some time on it, then moves on to present the heroines, then choices begin and you select your route. Pretty standard setup but slower than other titles I've played, IMO.
  10. Best advice is knowing lots of girls/boys. How? well that's up to you. Just do lots of things > meet lots of people > make lots of friends provided you aren't a jerk > pick your waifu > win. And yes it takes some improvement of yourself. And no adolescent love isn't its most perfect form (as VNs and all Japanese media leads us to believe), that age is just hormone-fueled anarchy and chaos. It's possible meeting the love of your life at an early age, but only the most fit individuals will get to keep the relationship going, and it's gonna change a lot along the way.
  11. But... but... you've gotta ask for their phone numbers! Cherish your collection of girls' numbers! PS: I'm reading Hoshimemo at the moment, and yes there is something like a marriage promise on the little girl's end. Obviously hardly anybody marries while in high school, but that promise spurs the protag to meet her again. After all, it's the love of his life.
  12. For me it was back as a kid. "Tao tao - animal stories from all over the world" and "The wonderful travel of Nils Holgersson" were tear jerker animes, back in the 80s. They taught me to be a do-gooder.

    Hola!

    Hola, ¿cómo estás?
  14. In fact, the foundations of happiness are strong social relationships. You can get everything, from a job to help with issue X to sex. "Friends even in Hell", as they say. ...Easier said than done, though!
  15. I'm a fan of Overdrive's more traditional works, that are focused around the characters building a rock'n'roll band. These are Kira*Kira (but with some pretty heavy drama) and Deardrops (less drama, more fun, but still some human misery on it). But, going with what you say, you don't even need to play the whole games if you don't want. These games also have sequels that I haven't played.
  16. Did you miss the key aspect of... well... attracting your love interest?
  17. Shira Oka: Second Chances was my first ever (modern) approach to VNs. It's cute but very long. You'll probably find it tiresome after some routes. It has like 12 characters.
  18. He's like playing Higurashi at the moment so I don't know.
  19. Yeah, that was a stretch A work that blurs the divides is .Hack, having .Hack//Sign in mind, its foundations are pretty much sci-fi but happens in a fantasy environment, and in the end it's a thriller and character drama.
  20. It is, and I liked it. The lolification, I think it doesn't add anything. It was there just because, so what. Besides I was talking about moe things and that is clearly moe. Forgot to mention Miyu that's like the game's main offender in that department. Kohane is also moe, but she's far more tolerable and more my brand of moe.
  21. Wait, Period has a True route? First time I've heard of it, are you referring to the canon Also, no moe in Period? Really? What about the Yukina route? (That also feels completely detached from the character as well as being terrible overall) What about Tsuzumi It's long because it has 8 routes total, but some routes will make you cringe, inevitably.
  22. This is a typical trend. Like in the original anime, Sora no Woto whose home town is based on Cuenca (Spain).
