  1. Joining Fuwanovel last August. Best decision of my life. I've lurked for a couple years without registering... After I did, I met all these wonderful people with the same passion as me, I also get to introduce people to the wonderful place of New Netorare City, NTR and also piling up on hundreds of backlogs of VNs I still yet to play because you are all awesome people with awesome recommendations.

Best VN moment: No doubt it's euphoria and going to the forums reading people's posts about how they are going insane with the whole thing. That shit was priceless.

Best forum moment: The turn-offs thread I made: http://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/11970-your-biggest-turn-offs-in-visual-novels/?page=1

Reading it gave me lots of LOLz. Oh and Dustmania thread is close second.

Ah, haha, oh yeah the turn-off thread. I remember that thing causing me nightmares.

Then came Euphoria and now I'm immune to that stuff :makina:

  2. I'm gonna be that one guy who says all the mushy stuff so bear with me here.

I joined Fuwa on February 24th and a lot has happened since then. I learned more about Visual Novels, I joined the anime club and I met lots of people here. I'll start from the beginning.

My introduction thread: I decided to sign up and join this community since I wanted more info about VNs and there seemed to be a multitude of nice people here. My thread was nothing special compared to all the others, but it's interesting to go back and see all those that greeted me are people I know/are familiar to me now. I also hadn't watched many anime back then either, just the most popular stuff that looked good such as One Piece.

The Ambidex Game: Not too long after joining, I found in the Member's Lounge the Ambidex Game run by Stray Cat at that time. It looked like a nice opportunity to meet some people so I said why not and signed up. I met quite a few individuals there, such as the aforementioned Stray Cat, Tiago F.Varela, Funyarinpa, Kurisu-Chan, LinovaA, Cyrille and probably a few others that I can't remember at the moment.

The Anime Club: I joined the club in February as well, it was an interesting experience. It was my first time joining a club of some sort. I joined for the same reason as the Ambidex Game and that it would be a good chance to find new anime to watch. My visits to Fuwa continued peacefully like this for a while till late June, when Stray Cat left the site for certain reasons. He put me in charge of the club since I was most qualified, being there every cycle for the last few cycles. We didn't contact each other again till a little later.

A Friendship is Born: A little while after Stray left, KosakiFag had commented on one of my status things that nobody uses anymore. We had a conversation about that, then we played Osu together and learned stuff about each other. I then made a PM where we talked for a while. Eventually, he asked if I had a Skype account and if we could talk there. I said I'd make one and we started talking through that. Not too long after, Kosaki told Stray that I had a Skype account and we started a group chat. Over time we added more people to the group and we talk pretty often.

Some Miscellaneous Stuff: I started my Strange Stories sometime before Stray left and have been writing them ever since, even if they're few and far in between. I finally finished Rewrite a few months ago and I started up Majikoi soon after.

All in all, these are my favorite moments of the year and my favorite year so far. I hope to be here for many years to come!

    Mushy stuff is awesome :sachi:

I'll go ahead and do the same.

I personally joined the forum in september, after lurking a little bit, so I'm quite new here. Though I instantly fell in love with the entire community right away. When I had questions that made me feel slightly emberrased and nooby, no one commented on that, and instead everyone were helpful and kind. This made me get used to the forum very quickly, and now it feels like I've been here for ages, even though its only been a few months.

There is a lot of goofy humor and silly stuff on this forum, which I love. Everything doesn't have to be taken so extremly seriously, though there is room for serious discussions as well.

Also, for people like me, who doesn't have hundreds of titles under my belt, but instead only a handful, it's still a place to come and chat, learn and discuss things.

Special thanks to all the moderators and staff members for always being awesome and doing their job well. This place would probably be an anarchistic wasteland if it wasn't for you guys.

  3. Hello boys and girls of fuwa! Christmas is just around the corner, so on that note, merry christmas everyone! :sachi:

That also means that the end of the year is coming up, and so I wanted to ask, what has been your favorite VN moment of 2015?

If you haven't really read any new titles, you can mention a moment from an old novel that you have read this year, of course.

It also doesn't have to be a moment from a VN, but something that has happened on the forum or maybe a kickstarter campain or upcoming title that was announced this year etc etc.

Please remember to use spoiler tags and write above the spoiler what title its from if its needed, so the thread isnt a minefield of spoilers.

The release of Clannad in the west was something I've been uber hyped for and it was actually also one of the reasons I came to Fuwa, so that is quite memorable thing for me.

Also, my favorite VN moment of 2015 has been getting my sanity completely shattered and played with by Euphoria's true ending ... :makina:

Anyways, again, merry christmas to everyone, and I look forward to seeing what 2016 has in store for us :sachi:

  4.

I guess this is one of those things where everyone is meant to be speaking english in-world but in-game the voice over is in Japanese and of course the translation is in english. It's kinda weird! This might have been the kind of story where a good english voiceover would have been appreciated.

Can't wait until we get to Sora Nyl and everyone is speaking Japanese in New York City.

edit: Incidentally, because of this quirk, the translation removes all semblances of honorifics and japanese titles, and localizes them when appropriate. In this case, I suppose honorifics would just be artifacts left over from the original language used and actually conflict with the setting and culture of the game world. I wonder if there are still people out there who would get up in arms over this.

Oh yeah, and weirdly enough, the Japanese script uses a weird mix of american and japanese titles. "Mister JJ" is as it was originally written, but you'll still hear your fair share of senpais and other japanese forms of address. I'm probably the only one who finds this kind of thing interesting.

    M-My head :michiru:

Are you by any chance going to be reviewing this title?

It looks interesting, but I have so much to read already so I can't decide on wether I should get it or not.

  5. Welcome to the forum! Just like satsuki said, spam comment on whatever you feel like. Some threads are quite goofy. (Thats totally not always my fault...) Great to hear the forum has been of help.

    Enjoy your stay :sachi:

Ok ... Wow.... Is it wrong that I think this game sounds incredibly awesome? :pyaa:

Not at all. I think it's an OK game though. Not really something you would play for the story but just to see who lives and dies.

So far, the game seems too unforgiving now due to a lot more bad ending choices in the mix. Also for some reason even though Matsubara-kun (the protagonist) isn't the one getting killed, I keep getting the game over screen and being sent back to the title. I guess some characters are set not to die until later or at all, so losing them is a game over? I already lost 4 girls and 3 guys already, so I would assume the remaining characters are key characters? I don't know what else it could be.... I'm playing this game without a walkthrough because I could not find one. :yumiko: EDIT: Thanks to someone from hongfire for pming me the walkthrough!

And Touka is now a tentacle monster chasing you down and wants to rape you and kill all your other classmates, especially the girls (because she's jealous of them). Great, even when corrupted/no longer human, incest is still a powerful emotion. :wahaha: She is going full yandere mode now. She's even more relentless than Nemesis from Resident Evil.

Never underestimate the power of incest. :makina:... (What the hell am I saying.)

By the way, here is 100 awesome points for refrencing resident evil.

  7. Started XX of the Dead. Not the typical zombie vn flick I was expecting like when I played Kansen since the zombies don't really go in hordes and try to outnumber you. They are basically just tentacle monsters with enhanced strength with the ability to corrupt you and turn you into one of them.... through intercourse! :sachi:

So far, I love the character interaction and the bad ends, although I only encountered 1 of them and imo the best bad end ever (NSFW: EVERYONE GETS TENTACLE RAPED!!!). And welp.... the protag's sister Touka was the first one who bought it. She was quite the looker too (how could you fucking say no to this?) and her incest vibes with the protag was REALLY STRONG, like his classmates were actually pushing for them to be together as well as her imagining making out with the protag as she is getting tentacle raped and corrupted. So I already got spoiled that she will make a dramatic come back later as an antagonist, so I knew she was still going to be alive. I have a feeling she's gonna be the Kerrigan from Starcraft of this game. With my progress so far 3 of the characters from the box cover are already dead excluding Touka because she's still alive (corrupted) after getting devoured by the tentacle zombie monster. Sucks that they were unavoidable deaths so there was nothing I could do to save them.... :conspiracy:

Looking forward to see who else survives in the end as I play this. The h-scenes are definitely hot though. ^_^

Ok ... Wow.... Is it wrong that I think this game sounds incredibly awesome? :pyaa:

  8. wouldnt be surprised if they´re the same ones, with whom they´ve already worked together on sakura angels.
but nah, still not fond of the practice when oelvn´s are start getting themselves a jp-dub to appeal pseudo authentic the more.

It's just a by-product of the ridiculous "if it's Japanese, it's automatically better!" mentality.

Wait, are you saying that not all Japanese things are better?

    Mind.... BLOWN!

Well he is wrong. They are. Everything! All of it!:pyaa:

  9. She is extremely intelligent and can be cunning and manipulative, but her usual attitude and behavior is that of a lazy teenage slob.

    Kitsune Kiri :Teeku:

my half bad Japanese tells me thats like lightning or something.

Could you elaborate a bit? Perhaps also supply the kanji for it?

I like the sound of it though.

No it was just my name xD

*Punches a wall hard for not realizing that instantly* Also, 霧 - fog. I wansnt THAT far off. It was something element-ish.

@Kiriririri, how about I immortalize you forever as Kitsune´s slightly goofy but lovable friend Kiri who loves moege? :sachi:

  10. How about Mimiko (耳小)? (Mimi = ears / Ko = small), pretty basic pun but does the job well enough. Although I guess that sounds more like a first name rather than a last name. Could also be 子 at the end (ko = young girl).

The fun thing about ko is that it can be pretty much anything and it's a pretty standard ending kanji for female names so it always works out.

    Love it!

Its supposed to be a little bit of a goofy name so even if it sounds like a first name its all good.

    Thanks!

  11. Well, I've decided on Kitsune Mimiko. キツネ耳子 - Fits perfectly for the character.  (thanks nosebleed.) Thanks for the suggestions. (Especially you kiri, you were extremly helpful! :sachi:)

Started writing and I'm on page 12 already :michiru: Really got in the zone. Might post the story somewhere on the forum when It's done, we'll see.

Hey fellas. I need some help coming up with a name for a character. I just randomly felt like writing something a little goofy, and came up with the character: "Kitsune ____" for a short comedy story.

Kitsune is, obviously, a kitsune though a little bit of a lazy one. She is extremely intelligent and can be cunning and manipulative, but her usual attitude and behavior is that of a lazy teenage slob.

Anyways, I need a last name for Kitsune that has a little bit of a pun in it, that fits. Can really be anything, though preferably something with foxes, animal ears, tails, whatever.

(Obviously need a Japanese name/ term.)

    Thanks in advance.

  12. Oda Nanami form SonoHana 1, 6. She is adorable, she has twintails and ... yuri.

(Yes, SonoHana. They are masterpieces. Dont even try to say otherwise.) Not really. But as far as fun and entertaining female MCs goes, she is a good pick.

EDIT: Decay basically said it all. Mostly otome games will fit that criteria, though I am assuming you are looking for games that fit more in the "general male audience" taste. I already recommended you katahane in your recommendations thread, and just wanted to point out that among the main characters in that game, most of them are female and the game is very enjoyable. The characters are great.

(But Nanami is still the best female MC)

  13. I haven't had time to read the first one yet, though I was recently recommended it and I really want to play it. Seeing as they are making a new one it seems promising.

Also, the tags speak for themselves... Kitsune heroine, shy heroine, tsundere heroine, (and I swear, I see twintails as well. I need to play this! :kosame:
