  1. BTW it's maitetsu, not miatetsu, but it's probably not great form to recommend loli straight up to someone you haven't confirmed has such tastes (I was going to put this in much harsher terms but decided against it).
  2. Re: Zero Looks like a much less funny konosuba cross with a much bigger budget... Doesn't look too bad, and I'll keep watching but there's something irritating about it. For example, one plot device execution really annoyed me:
  3. Not everyone feels the same way as me, but I though danmachi was actually very good, and better than dxd. The fanservice is much less than dxd (but then dxd is just shy of porn) but to me the action scenes had much more impact, whereas dxd was just kinda boost. Some people really got off on danmachi because of the whole loli boob goddess thing but to me that was the least interesting part. The characters are interesting, the story is interesting and the action well done.
  4. Pan de peace is cute and will be very easy to watch. Kuma miko is not remotely what I'd have expected; it's surprisingly fresh and fun!
  5. Finished Nanatsu no Taizai in a couple of days. That was great fun. I better check out the OADs and then I'm ready for season 2, though a show with as much pace as this is always painful to watch over many weeks.
  6. So far of what I've watched: Mayoiga: Eh? Will drop pretty soon... Usho Tora 2: Solid start to a consistently good series. Damn let's work on the romance plot and I'm sold. Asterisk 2: So far decent. This was the show that was only ever okay because it was overshadowed by an infinitely better surprisingly similar storied Rakudai no Kishi. However with this start this season and a shit last season of nothing outstanding, it's suddenly looking good. Endride: What a steaming pile of shit. Dropped Boku no Hero Academia: Actually not too bad compared to the other crap. Let's see where it goes.
  7. This is a very common thing to do. It's both a bonus and a short cut. Why create new character designs from scratch when you already have designs that are comprehensive from previous works, and including them is seen as paying homage to previous works and enjoyed as an Easter egg by readers.
  8. Thanks. Not sure which site claims To Heart 2 project is complete since I've never claimed it was, even though the translation was finished almost a year ago. I guess this is the danger in releasing a 100% translated patch as a pre-release; people will just grab that and read it since they're always desperate for translations, then the pre-release gets distributed through other channels as though it's the final version and then the VN and project itself gets forgotten. None of this does the Visual Novel itself nor the translation project justice... Sigh.
  9. Must be time to start an official Spring 2016 thread, no?
  10. Finished watching the strike witches 2 OVAs and movie in preparation for the spin-off, Brave witches starting soon. I'd forgotten how much fun this series was and added it to my "ultimately satisfying endings" list. I've started watching nanatsu no taizai, the seven deadly sins, in anticipation of the second season starting soon. I'm enjoying it quite a lot so far as a silly fantasy action spoof thingy.
  11. Musaigen ending was quite good for a show that never got to be that special. Dagashi was consistently disappointing to the end. Quite sure I won't bother watching another season should it come out unless someone tells me there's character progression. That ends the winter season which as predicted was quite meh overall. Here's hoping for a better spring season, where I'm looking forward to continuing series more than the new ones listed (Ushio and Tora the most.)
  12. To Heart 2 is one of the all time classic original slice of life donkan protagonist harems with a cult following today, even if it is over 10 years old. Positions desired: Translate checker Editors Proofreader Graphic editors Windows scripters Anything else you think you can offer The completely translated To heart 2 translation project is one of the longest running VN translation projects still alive today that still needs people to polish it up to finalise the release. It's a fairly large work spanning 9 routes with 11 different girls and 50+ hours of reading (with 2267 unique kanji, 345512 kanji total, 2.9M kana, roughly 97,000 lines!). I've kept this project alive for over 7 years now and would love to complete it but since I did almost all the translation myself and was not that strong a translator, what the work needs most is a translate checker to bring it up to a higher standard. I'd love to complete this project so that it would free me up to do more translation work on other visual novels instead of coordinating this project for ever more. I'm looking for motivated people who can complete whole routes of translate checking or editing, or ideally can do the whole lot but understand how much work this is (since I know how long it took me to translate the text in the first place). More than half of it has had a 1st pass edit, but that still leaves quite a bit of text needing editing. I don't care if you don't have any experience editing VNs, so long as you have good English language skills, can work with UTF8 text files and have the time to dedicate to doing a large portion of it. Usually I get potential editors to undergo a small editor's test to verify they can do the task. I have an extensive style guide to guide how to edit it. Additionally I need a proofreader who can go over the whole lot looking for remaining errors and discrepancies in style and wording which takes a lot less effort than first pass editing. Optionally if there was someone keen on trying their hand on graphic editing, there are a handful of text-on-graphics screens and icons that could do with being converted to English, and of course quite a few H scenes that could be decensored. Finally if someone is good at creating batch scripts to extract, insert and recompress files in windows to patch the game in place instead of manually copying files across the way my patch currently does, I could use your help. The extraction, insertion and recompression tools already exist. The main reason I haven't included any edited graphics to date is that I would have to upload the entire recompressed data file and would prefer to have an archive with only the edited pictures. While I did a lot of the programming for this project, I'm almost exclusively a linux hacker and take short-cuts when it comes to windows. The translation project thread is below. Please PM me or email me if you wish to help, or come onto IRC irc.rizon.net #aikeshi
  13. You'll love it. It's so easy to get into and it's hard to make your way to bad endings Characters you'll love, characters you'll hate, and some in between, but something to cater for everyone. Sorry, can't help you on the pirating side (and doing so is out of scope for this forum anyway).
  14. Agree with To Heart 2 since I translated it 9 routes, 11 girls, the original donkan harem story all school life mostly light hearted stories.
  15. If you finished it, you must have liked it enough to watch to the end. What were your thoughts on it? I've only seen 5 episodes so far and am conflicted since it seems a bit too childish to continue watching.
  16. By the way, I have a way I can manually edit a pixelated image to convert the pixelated portion into a slightly more detailed blurred version of the original data. While it's still nowhere near as complete as a redrawing, I find it less obtrusive than pixelation, and since it's done using filters rather than drawing, it is based entirely on the original artist's data without requiring any artistic skill. Someone with artistic skill could probably then draw over the top of the partially recreated image and more closely reproduce the original artist's impression. Since you were talking dicks, I've done a sample using dicks with my beloved Lucy from To Heart 2 to show what I mean. Before: After: Of course it is a little time consuming and since it's not perfect and translators are harder to find than graphic editors, my time is better spent doing translation...
  17. The highlighted above. I know what you were after and sorry for going offtopic.
  18. Every good romantic comedy in light novel, manga, anime or visual novel form makes me appreciate what I have with my wife all the more.
  19. Just like with translations, no doubt there are examples of good decensoring, but fan decensoring can be quite... limited indeed. I've only ever had one person offer to decensor the pics in To Heart 2 and I was so happy that they offered, but when he returned his first attempt, my response was... PINK!!!! Everything was this bizarre unnatural (compared to 2D?) hot pink stand out disaster. I decided I'd give up on the idea of having anything decensored after that.
  20. I love the titles of some of the threads I can find here on fuwa... that said, if I were getting uncensored pics, someone's dick is the last thing I care about being uncensored
  21. Hah. Because I feel it is my responsibility to point out to people how shit this movie really is.
  22. That just makes him remind me of Rick Moranis playing Dark Helmet in Spaceballs the movie... not a good association.
  23. I enjoyed DAL, but I think people took it too seriously and that's why they didn't. Kurumi's presence is excellent in DAL, and I'm a big follower of Japanese voice actresses, so when I recently started watching K-On I couldn't get Kurumi out of my head whenever the teacher spoke in it since it was the same voice actress because of her amazing voice presence in DAL.
  24. I agree the 2nd ending was indeed excellent. I'm strong enough to forgo the movie if it's going to ruin the experience, thanks. There are still millions of other things to watch instead.
  25. Finished watching K-On 1st and 2nd series. The first one was excellent. The second series really lost all the magic the first one had and was only okay. It felt like they cashed in on the popularity of the first series and got funding for a double season second series but only had enough material for a single season. The ending was still very satisfying. Strangely most people rated the second season as equally high as the first, but I guess they were all converts by then and desperate for more K-On moe. Guess I better watch the movie through just for completion though I suspect it's more of the same. Next up, all the spring season shows, but I'm only listing the old shows I'm watching here otherwise I'd capitalise the entire thread since I'm always watching 30-40 shows concurrently...
