  1. So I can access Narukana's route by starting a new game from the title screen as long as I have a clear system save? I had thought that you needed to start a new game by loading a clear save, which does not give you the option to not carry over data. If the former is true than my problem is solved. Thanks for the help everyone.
  2. I don't want to play this or any game more than once but I must play Narukana's route. However I do not want to just play from a clear save file that is already at high level with all abilities learned (including some story-related ones), as this would pretty much defeat the entire purpose the gameplay portion of the game. So my question is: is there any way to access Narukana's route while playing on as clean a slate of a new game as possible?
  3. I know this thread is old but couldn't fans just make an H-restoration patch and avoid this headache? Clearly, if this was an easy issue SP would had solved it already.

    My favorite eroge of 2016

Meh, only Dearest Blue is good out of your list. Judging by how much you dislike Lilim games, its not surprising how much our tastes differ, at the very least when it comes to fap games. Do you even like NTR games? Judging by your priorities when describing NTR games you probably don't. Well, Fuwanovel isn't exactly where people with that kind of fetish gather anyways.
  5. Didn't expect Front Wing to be this popular since all they really have is Grisaia. Grisaia is good but its not THAT good. Well there is also Devil Angel Dijbril but as much as I love how she NTR him pregnancy sex with monsters and middle-aged men, I really don't think that is the kind of stuff that gets the people around here impassioned. Speaking of which, Front Wing should do Devil Angel Dibril 5 next.
  6. She's a sweet kid but kinda annoying. Komari is even worse. If you are sexually attracted to her than yeah, sure, whatever floats your boat; just know that America is ABSOLUTELY hysterical about pedophilia so careful not to get arrested. I don't hate "moe" characters or anything since I like Rin and Fuko and thinks loli Kotori is absolutely adorable but Kud is just kinda annoying and her voice breaks windows.
  7. I noticed the restoration patch page for this game has been taken down, are there still plans to do V2 of the patch? I don't mind the bad translations that much as long as the original meaning is still more or less conveyed but some parts just butchered the original meaning.
  8. You're right but that doesn't mean that fans shouldn't be vocal about it. I'm not talking about anger and blame but the expression of how much they want the 18+ contents. The more people who express this, the higher the chances of it being successful since in the end, the main driving force is money. The main reason why 18+ contents are even taken out is try to expand the customer base. Regardless, I've been waiting for this game for too long to not get it just because 1-2% of the game was taken out. If it weren't for the fact that most people could just pirate the game (and most likely will), there would likely be a lot more people who would by the game either way. I hope that the reputation of this game will at least spawn an unofficial restoration patch.
  9. Yumiko's route is generally considered an average one, the most popular routes would be Amane and Makina's route. Most of the routes were written by different authors, only Amane and Makina's were written by the main writer. "Rewrite" is the same way, with only Kotori, Akane, and the Moon/Terra routes being written by the main writer. I'm sure its no coincidence that these routes tend to be better. Anyways, as to what I like about this visual novel: 1) Amane's route, especially the last bits and the endings. 2) The Common route. This is the main charm of this vn for me. There's no stupid harem aspect where all the girls want a piece of him for no freaking reason, its just about the whacky personalities and interactions between the characters, of which I found amusing. The girls could had been all guys and it wouldn't really change much about how the route felt to me. This was also why I liked Majikoi, until it turned into a harem waifu fest (ESPECIALLY Majikoi S) which caused me to stay far far away from it. Edit: Oh right. While I do enjoy Grisaia, I do agree that its not a masterpiece or anything and there are certainly better visual novels out there. However, what makes this game popular is that it can be appealed as a one of the better-made "harem-waifu" series, much like Majikoi, which the current anime/manga male fans just absolutely love. No matter what their opinions on what makes a good story is, they are all united on the fact that they all love virtual waifus, and a "harem-waifu" series market female characters of all shades and stripes.
  10. This game has a extremely high rating and a lot of votes (for an untranslated game) so I don't think rating is the issue. While this game (the entire duology) is long, there have been plenty of games that are about as long or longer that have been translated so that argument alone doesn't explain it unless you provide some context. For example, 1) this game is not just a text game, which could complicate things. 2) There's just not any groups around willing to do big projects anymore. 3) This game just doesn't interest the translator group enough to warrant its size. "Aiyoku no Eustia" seems to be another game rates just as high for an untranslated game and is much shorter but that hasn't been translated either, so length alone can't be the only explanation. The first Majikoi game is about as long as both Bladr Sky games and is pretty recent yet you have multiple games in that series translated. I know "harem waifu" games like Majikoi is more likely to drive the fans wild so that's probably why but still.

Anyways, as to what I like about this visual novel: 1) Amane's route, especially the last bits and the endings. Even Kazuki's Mary Stu-ness was tolerable if it weren't for how many fanboys she has due to it. 2) The Common route. This is the main charm of this vn for me. There's no stupid harem aspect where all the girls want a piece of him for no freaking reason, its just about the whacky personalities and interactions between the characters, of which I found amusing. 12. A good story route that she's deeply involved in, everything else is just icing on the cake. Well, I guess she can't be completely unattractive but that's what genetic cuteness is for. Oh, and I guess she can't be unbelievably annoying but it takes a lot to annoy me; in fact the only one I can think of right now is Lucia from Rewrite.
  13. Unfortunately, Kyou suffers from "best girl and worst route" syndrome. It's even more common (and arguably even more frustrating) than "best girl and no route" syndrome. Doesn't really matter how Kyou's (or whoever your waifu is) route is changed, Clannd is all about Nagisa and her "After Story" route, that's just how the game was made. Everything else don't really matter all that much. I mean its possible but they would have to make huge additions like they tried to do with "Tomoyo After" but that didn't really work out too well since making a good story is hard. Even if they did do it well, it will still be inevitable compared to and overshadowed by Nagisa's story. Point is: sorry guys, the moment the game was released, its already too late for your waifus to stand a chance against Nagisa. I much prefer visual novels with a super prominent main heroine like this though, at the cost of guys whining on the behalf of their waifus or about how they hate the main heroine, we tend to get a much better central story.
  14. It's almost impossible to find a VN without romance, let alone a "good one." Pretty much all the ones mentioned here have romance in them, whether or not romance is a siginficant focus is debatable on a case by case basis. If you're looking fro VN where romance is not the primary focus than there a lots. In fact, the far majority of the most popular VN fit in this category, as there are lots of other important things going on besides just the romance between the MC and the heroine. Take the top 15 highest rated VN on vndb, only "Clannad," "White Album 2", maybe "Little Busters!", and maybe, just maybe "Rewrite" are VN where romance is the primary focus. All of them though, undoubtedly have romance and arguably to significant degrees.
  15. I just have to get this off my chest. I haven't completed the game yet so maybe these issues will be explained later on but I'm in the middle of Yume's route and some things just REALLY irks me. First off, Taiga. First he lusted after a middle school girl even though he's already at least in his mid 20s and once she left him, he went after a grade schooler. No I don't care what her actual age is, she looks like a loli and she quacks like a loli, she's a loli. Pepophilia is strong in the genes indeed. Fine, he likes little girls; I could accept it if they had acted normally but the way they act is like that of a child predator, kinda creepy. 2nd. At first, I thought that Mare was waiting for You cuz of something to do with Yume but apparently not. Apparently, she specifically wanted to be his friend but why him? I know the MC is always super-special just cuz he's the MC but I'm gonna need a better reason than that. And why is Kaa-bou the "bridge" between the two? That thing didn't do squat, he may as well had not existed and nothing would had changed. 3nd and what bothers me the most. You switched from Yume to Mare so fast and without any sort of development or explanations. In fact, he was trying to move on Mare WHILE he was still trying to confess to Yume, which really confused me. And then the moment Yume rejected him, he immediatedly latched on to Mare, almost as if he wanted this development. If he's given up on Yume than why not give Asuho a chance? They had way more intimacy and development than with Mare. If he just prefers little girls than they could had at least given it more time to better transition from Yume to Mare. At the very least, give me some decent closure on You's decision to try to give up on Yume, don't just throw this shit on me from out of nowhere. Maybe later developments will better explain these things, like maybe You's attraction to Mare is supernaturally compelled, and Mare's backstory and Kaa-bou role will be explained in more depth. The reason why I'm ranting about this is cuz #3 bothers me so much that unless I know its gonna be addressed later on, I'm going to lose the will to finish the game.
  16. I wasn't even aware that they had an official voiced version. If I had known, I would had held out on playing it until they someone released a voice patch cuz I really don't think I can play the same game twice. Oh well, as such a big fan of Type-Moon, I might be able to bring myself to play it again.
  17. I've never tried an OELVN before and I've been hearing some pretty negative things about them so I'm even more hesitant. I'm not expecting them to be as good as the more popular Japanese VNs but I can at least appreciated them if I feel the developers made a truly honest attempt at trying to write a good story. This isn't a waifu-based VN is it? I'm into plot-focused VNs, with deep and complext plots. This is why almost all of my favorite VN are the "One True Route" types; I'm not here for a waifu battle, I'm here to read a story. The "Grisaia" series is barely passable and that's only cuz some routes are pretty good and the character interactions were extremely well-down.
  18. The only "good" VN sex scenes (in that it gets me aroused) are the hardcore senseless fetish sex scenes from purely sex-focused VNs. In VNs where the focus is the plot, the sex scenes are too "normal" to get me aroused and even if there were to be fetishes in there that would usually turn me on, I would care too much about the plot and characters that it would acutally be a negative. That's not to say I don't like sex scenes in story-focused VN, their inclusion adds a "sweetness" factor to the story, regardless of the actual content of the scenes. There are some few games where I really enjoy the conversations during sex, such as in Crescendo, where they poetically express their love beyond just typical sex lines. I don't really understand all these complaints about how sex scenes should only be in there if they "advance" the plot. In fact, it would actually feel more forced if it did advance the plot, as if the writer came up with this little plot device just as an excuse to add in sex scenes. Fate/Stay Night for example. People have sex when they are in love, simple as that, the game is just showing us some scenes for those moments. If you don't like it, you can just skip it. i don't see a lot of people fapping to that Right, like I said, many popular fetishes (such as rape, meet-n-fucks, NTR, ugly dudes, or even harem) don't really work in plot-focused work, where you care too much about the characters, their relationships, and what happens to them. Even sexual harems don't work. Yes there are a lot of popular harem VNs where the MC goes around fucking everybody but virtually none of these are praised for having spectacular plots. In fact, having a spectacular plot could be detrimental.
  19. Alright, thnx for the input. From what I gather from what you guys have said, the other routes don't really contribute to the enjoyment of Yume's route but some of them do reveal some things about the world of the story. As it stands, I'll just skip to Yume's route. I'll probably come back and complete Chinami's route if it does reveal important information on Yume and her route, even if she does annoy me. I'll probably complete Mare's route too since its apparently really short and kinda part of Yume's route anyways. I might come back to complete the first 3 heroine if I have time. I don't really pick routes base on favorite heroine, never really cared much about that stuff. Its irrelevant who I want anways, what matters is who the MC wants and he seems to be REALLY obssessed with Yume. Also, what I want is to see the story that has objectively had the most development put into it, which is usually the main heroine's route. I know not all games are as obivous as "Clannad" or "G-Senjou no Maou" so different people will have different opinions on this but the main heroine is the safest bet. The vibe I'm getting from the game right now is that Yume is the main story and the others are just side-stories to sidetrack you. Regardless, I still want to see the game's main presented story and it would feel wholly incomplete if I don't find out what has become of that cute little loli. And sorry for spoiling her name. I guess I just instinctively thought that anyone who is interested in playing this game would had done enough basic research to learn of her name so the thought of spoiler never really occured to me.
  20. Regardless of whether this is an April's Fool joke or not, one thing is fore sure: We won't be getting to read it within the next 50 years. It will take at least 5 more years to release tthe game and then 45 years to translate it.
  21. Are all the routines interconnected, such as the former revealing important information or is plot relevant for the latter routes? I ask cuz in visual novels, I always tend to just play the main heroine's route since I really don't have the time to complete all the routes; however, this game requires you play all the other heroine's routes before Yume's is unlock. I was thinking I'm just gonna skip through all the other heroine's route if they're all pretty independent of each other.
  22. Maybe in 20 years but even then, I doubt it. Nasu already gave us the Epilouge chapter, can't you be satisfied with that? If they were to make a direct sequel then they would have to choose a route from the first game to follow. Being the main route, the Fate route would almost certainly be the one but that might leave some people unsatisfied. This route also have the most room for Shirou to develop and left the option open for another Holy Grail War. However, if Saber is summoned again then it would be bullshit, especially since she's already made peace with herself. Not to mention it would contradict the Epilouge chapter. If she isn't summoned again than they would lose their by far most marketable character. They could also choose to follow a completely new route but that would be bullshit cuz it would cheapen all the things that happened in the first game.
