  1. It depend on the negative review there I think. If the review for example only said something alike 'I don't understand this game, and therefore this game was only for stupid people' or something like that, it'll be valid argument for sure because the reviewer didn't give some useful feedback there. But if the reviewer give such good feedback (ie the explanation of why he didn't like it), I think it'll be invalid argument for sure because it'll only made the user who said 'You didn't get it' look stupid (Although if there is who said that, the reviewer could attempt to give sound argument there). In the end, it's very subjective here if we talk about the topic and I leave it to each of their own here.
  2. If you didn't mind lack of H Scenes here, there's both of Hakuai and Aoishiro if you looking some yuri VN with routes. Hope it'll be helpful to you.
  3. Happy very early 23rd birthday to @Satsuki here. Hope you had good year ahead here.
  4. I knew about the short form here too. But since I'd read some fanfiction in the past that had the characters with the name of Ushi and Eta (One of them was some kind of OC), and the fanfic was quite good at that so I decided to just called that by Ushieta if you ask my reason here (Some sort of reminder). It's just like I called the first part of the name of VN here, only shortened one. Well, just want to saying it here.
  5. Visual Novel Translation Status (10/22/2016) As for the title meaning, since the image header was 'Sakura Nova' and a nukige (Wild Romance) which going to the Steam from Zoo Company, I used Sakura Zoo from this week title (The meaning should be obvious here, and sorry for being very cliche here). Hopefully Winged Cloud didn't release Sakura Zoo for their next title there. About the releases, those two was pretty much bring the controversy there, but Wild Romance bring more because in this VN was actually nukige and bring it to the Steam mean that it'll cut the most important thing for nukige (Sex). Speaking about Steam, I didn't carein regard of Sakura Nova release at Steam. My comment here would be whatever. As for this week, to be honest it was very bland here (There's very few progress here) and the releases was not something that I could said was looking forward too (I admit that the VN image header was quite nice too look though in regard of the girls there). Also too bad that this week we didn't see Mangagamer bring their updates like usual two weekly there (They bring another AJ Tilley VN Negligee though), although if they preparing for MYTH release right now maybe we could see some nice updates from them next week. So I'll just looking forward to next week then in regard of Mangagamer. Since I talk about Mangagamer, might as well comment about Shuffle in regard of Navel which break up from Mangagamer in the past. While if I said that this is definitely smart move from Navel by releasing PS2 version to Steam, it's still inferior to the Essence+ which contained 5 more heroines while PS2 version only contain 2 more heroines only. Although I said nowadays it'll be cliche, it was my first VN here and I think it's still good for some beginner who want to play VN out there. For Corona Blossom Volume 2, it'll be released at 27 this month so at least Frontwing fulfill their promise in regard of release there. Didn't care too much about another Grisaia spin off (Melody) and Muv Luv news, so I couldn't comment in regard of those two much here. As for Sekai, this week the progress for Chrono Clock was stagnant at 40% for a week ie not moving at all. As for Wagahigh, they finally fully translated there and they starting the editing and engine process there. As for usual progress, both of Maitetsu (44.75% translated) and Princess Knight Chapter 2 (69.61% translated) there had some nice progress, while for both of Tenshin Rahman (60.46% translated) and Bokukotsu (10.49% translated) was quite slow. Other than that, no much I could comment from Sekai there. For fan translation, somehow I missed this but Sukiuso (I think I'll just called it Sukiuso there instead of Sukima) right now was at 38.7% translated. Speaking about missing something, I also miss that Luna Translation got one more project there and it was Ushieta translation, and what I could said for now good luck to Ushieta team. For more progress here, this week we only had usual one although it's still good though. For roundup here Bishoujo Mangekyou was 93% edited, 88% QC-ed, and 45% TLC-ed proofread; Bishoujo Mangekyou 2.5 was 44% translated and 35% edited TLC-ed; Majokoi was 52.3% translated, 37.1% edited, and 18% TLC-ed (The TLC may be regressing in the future); Loverable was 20.01% translated, 64.38% image edited, and 1.39% edited; and Tsui Yuri was almost completed in regard of translation (95% translated), 84% edited, and 15% QC-ed. That's all for the roundup here. I think this is it for my VNTS Review this week, and see you next week. PS - I wonder what happened to Kimisora project for a while because there was no update after it was posted. Turn out that the translator was preparing thesis and therefore it'll be stalled until December, so obviously there's no update here. Hope we could see the progress at January 2017 at least. PPS - This morning, we had more progress from Chrono Clock after I give up to keep my eyes on, which is at 42.44% translated for the progress. Hopefully it'll be not stagnant anymore here. PPPS - Thanks for the correction there, Arcadeotic.
  6. Oh, so you're looking for Mac translated VNs with romance here apparently. If you want that, I think both of Katawa Shoujo and Tomoyo After would be good here for romance if you still didn't play those two. Hope this'll helpful to you.
  7. Yuri huh? I want to recommended both of Yurirei (Kindred Spirit) and Hakuai (Nurse Love Addiction) here earlier, but since there's already recommendation for those games I second those. So if you need more recommendation here, I could recommend both of Aoishiro and Katahane although you may already knew about those two. Speaking about Sono Hanabira, there's all age version which released by Mangagamer here so you could play it without worrying the H scenes there. Hope this'll help.
  8. I don't know what do you mean alike. If you mean in regard of shinigami, other than Shinikiss there's also Kamidori if you want more shinigami. If you want to talk about the immature one, there's a lot to choose there. Although if you want the heroine with white haired, I think Dracu Riot was had white haired heroine there. Oh, also My Girlfriend is the President and Ayakashibito as well (Also had same writer as Tokyo Babel for more info). Hope this'll be help.
  9. Your questions was quite good there. Okay, let me try to answer the questions here. I think it was quite unnecessary. The reason here was while it surely will ensure that almost no complaint will come to the translation, it'll only doubled the work for the translator and therefore more cost. And no, the majority of potential customer wouldn't care too much about the translation here if you asking me ie didn't care if it's liberal or literal as long as they could read it in English. Oh, and when I said 'almost no complain' it mean there'll be small complain that will came if some consumer didn't satisfied to either the liberal take or thinking that the literal was too stiff. In short, it was hard to satisfy all of the customer even if this opinion available. And I think the addition 2 to 3 in regard of the price would be too much for the customer imo. Pirate, well it's quite hard to control if I may said. Even if you try to stop it, it'll be only slow down a little before taking the momentum here. So, I think it's depend on the company themselves. And looking back to question one, if taking pirating into consideration adding double localization will only made the loss more now that you need more cost there. The question here was quite hard to answer, but I made the point clear in regard of pirate. Hong Kong? Don't care much where the company is as long as there is a way to get the VN, and iirc Mangagamer was based on Netherland. The company could using online purchasing if you want to distribute the VNs there. Well, nothing that could convince me to buy those three. Besides I think most of the people out there should knew or read the recommendation for those VNs, and also I think those VNs were already discussed so much out there. Although there's maybe a chance though if talking about official localization for those three. I'm not that interested to go overseas for now, so I think it's not worth to come to imo. Beside the ticket to overseas was quite expensive and if you talk about panel, nowadays you could just see it from official company website imo. Steam well, it's just like some shopping mall to games which allow the customer to do the window shopping there at least to me. Although at least I knew that they occasionally had some sort of sales and it mean that you could got your VN cheaper there. To me, there's something more necessity in regard of the need if I may said it. So not, I wouldn't think to buy the dakimakura here because it wasn't my need here for now. Well, not. And combined with the piracy here, I think most of the people most likely won't care about that here as long as they got the product here. Although it'll be nice if some people who buy the VN knew that though. That's all for my answer here, and sorry if I couldn't help too much here. But if I may said here if you choose to doing professional one it'll be difficult. Good luck nonetheless.
  10. Welcome to Fuwanovel. As for recommendation, since you didn't specify here I could recommend translated one like Tokyo Babel, Yoake, Dracu Riot, and Noble Works. Or if you want untranslated one, then perhaps Hatsuyuki Sakura, Aiyoku no Eustia, and Flyable Heart would be good imo. Hope you had fun and enjoy yourself here. PS - By the way, did you Captain Tsubasa fans here. I guess that because your avatar here. The people at your avatar was Genzou Wakbayashi from that anime, right?
  11. I think it's better if you didn't use Steam version, and you better using Japanese version (Original one) and this patch instead of Restoration patch there. Although to be honest I didn't know about the problem though if you already did that. In that case, I'll check if my game will had same glitch as you or not. Oh, by the way I'mnusing Japanese version and linked translation patch. PS - Welcome to Fuwanovel, and hope you had fun here.
  12. If I remember, Shuffle was my first story based eroge here (Although if you want to know my first eroge it was Succubuss Soon though). I think I'm okay with this entering Steam, because the H scenes at original one was quite light and most importantly they had experience to port it to PS2. And apprently they had some new content for PS2 version. Let's just wait and see here, although I think personally I'm satisfied with original one.
  13. Happy early 26th birthday here, @nohman. Thanks for moderating this forum and being here for around 3 years I supposed. Hope you had good years ahead.
  14. My comment here would be if you want to talk about licensed games here, I think Sailor Moon RPG for SNES was quite good imo although the creator was mixing original story with the main story from manga. By the way, I think Rayearth games was kind of following the main story here although I'm not suure though. Working Design, I'd more think that they released some anime looking RPG on PS1 like Lunar here than localized 3D games like FF which back there was quite a number being developed. Other than that, I didn't knew much about Working Design here to be honest until now at least. Guess learn another new thing today was good.
  15. Another thing that I learned here in regard of fan translation scene. Also if I may said the burn out could also affected any people who highly motivated to translated VN at first. Other than that, not much that I could comment here.
  16. Okay, let's see what's my opinion here or I should said few elaboration here. In regard of translating cost here, guess I'd learning something new here which is quite interesting. Although if I may nitpicking here Majokoi was only 40,000 lines though instead of 47,000 lines, but I knew it still take long time though (Sorry). About saying translation bad, it's not only the fan translation problem. Even Conjueror who hailed managed to made Tokyo Babel translation very good was facing critic in regard of translation. So yeah, there's always the people who nitpicking too much in regard of translation (And I think most of them were at 4chan iirc). As for e-begged, suddenly I'd remember back when VNTL was one of site that I'd visit to seeing the VN translation progress there. I'd always see the comment from one user that always asking like when Miyako route translated (He also made parody of UBW chant in regar of Miyako). Oh, and another people there also always asking euphoria to be translated iirc. For more e-beg, just read this thread (To Sekai directly though) and you could put your insulting meme there if you wish (By the way, I'd amazed that the OP there (Shini44) was very quick to change his stance from hopeful to Sekai to distrust Sekai in about 12 hours, while Sekai didn't do anything at all). By the way, I think it would be called entitlement by Decay if you speak about e-beg. From the reason that fan TL not worth, I think one of those could be improved here and that's in regard of the review. In fact, I think the translator could send the patch to the reviewer of Fuwanovel, then the reviewer write his/her opinion about the translated game and publish it on Fuwareview if the translator want to raise awareness of translated game there (Sort of like review copy system). Just saying my idea here. Other than that, more or less I kind of agree with the blog post here.
  17. Okay, thanks for confirmation then. Just for my confirmation here, 'low chance' here meaning that the chance for the VN had low sexual content are low (It could also refer to impossible, because after all 0% chance could also said as low here). Sorry.
  18. Don't care here, because from the first look at VNDB I think this is one of VNs that didn't had my interest here. As for covering up sex scenes, maybe either it'll be like Sakura franchise or the VN had very little of sex scene (Low chance).
  19. For more elaborations here while some VNs that was translated may be translator favorite, it could still there's possibility that it'll be stopped or stalled you know. The reason was because there'll be some real life circumstance that could affect the speed of translation, or the burnout that the translator suffer there even if it's translator favorite one for working too long there. As for sending the translation to the reviewer, it was called review copy and for now only professional localization did that.
  20. Sure, why not? In fact you could just give me the scripts for all of those VNs and I'll translate it to 4 languages here (English, Latinese, Arabic, and Indonesian) in one year at very late by using Google Translate lol. Okay seriously it's just like anyone said before (And to be honest I want those to be translated). It'll take too much effort to translate those properly, and there's so many technical work there. Also in regard of both of Shinigami no Testament and Sakura no Mori, the company behind those two (3rd Eye and Moonstone respectively) had the deal with Mangagamer so the fan translator didn't want to deal with official works or procedure (Probably). PS - By the way, one VNs here was very long in term of length (Kenseki) and one medium (Shinigami no Testament).
  21. Rejected, and regarding your basic: I think some user already had their own group here, and no they didn't need asking either admin or mod to do that There's so many user here, and managing that would be difficult because there's surely many VN that the users here want to be translated and limiting it to 10 at most would still be very difficult Asking donation would be illegal, and therefore risking the project to suffering C&D (To be honest, I'm just learned this on this thread) The VNs in wishlist may not something that the translator could enjoy. There's many stalled translation project out there even if the VNs were translator's favorite More or less same as point 3 here It may be good idea, but it will be impossible if you want want Fuwanovel was the only place to get translated VN Just make a thread in translation project thread should be enough or using Fuwanovel blog here My conclusion here, to be blunt your idea regarding donation would be rejected by most users here and I think this idea already suggested several times here. Although your idea regarding review would be good here though (The fan translator who manage to finish the patch send the patch to usual reviewer here (Like Decay or Kaguya for example), then the reviewer write his/her opinion in Fuwa Review). PS - I'm vote the second option here 'No, it's a waste of time and effort' if some people curious about my vote.
  22. Late to the party here, but welcome to Fuwanovel and hope you had fun here. My recommendation here, since everyone already suggested something good I'll recommend Yoake if you want translated one, and maybe both of Chrono Clock and Clover Days if you want to try untranslated one. Although maybe the incest was not as deep as you wish, hipe you had fun play those VNs.
  23. Here's Miniature Garden opening English sub. Not too bad here although the singer was quite unknown.
  24. Looks like Chisato was quite a base breaker here. I said this because I'd read that some people also didn't mind her too much. To each of their own I guess, although I understand if some people find her was very annoying though. As for the title, I'll continue Amane's route from Flyable Heart after procrastinating it for several days here. By the way, I did the first look for Chrono Clock using Japanese game and complete save from Sagaoz. By the way, the interface was the same as Hapymaher (Same company duh). Oh, although I only tell my observation here I better be careful in case there was some big spoiler below. Well, That's all and I'm still waiting for Chrono Clock translated here.
  25. Welcome to Fuwanovel, and if you want recommendation based on your enjoyment, I think Koichoco and Yoake would be good there. Of you want more just ask us. Hope you enjoy yourself and have fun here.
