  1. Natsumi was much more pleasant in the fandisc. Emo Natsumi was grating, even if her emoness was somewhat justified. Sachi was my fav heroine too, though Anyways I started Sono Hana, read 1 and 3. Will go back to the second one, but I was curious about 3 because I saw those girls in the OVA. So far it's like a concentrated dose of diabetes injected straight into my bloodstream. I'm usually bored to tears by Nukige/Hentai, but this is so sweet it keeps my attention.
  2. I don't particularly love or hate any of these characters, so the margins are small here (not surprised to see a fairly even poll). I'll go with Torta as my fav, narrowly.
  3. Related: 99% sure the OP there uses Tumblr religiously.
  4. I liked Higurashi slightly better than the Zero Escape games, but they were very enjoyable themselves,.
  5. Nearly finished Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Just got a few bonus scenes to reach 100% completion. Took a while to get used to NVL text boxes and lack of voice acting, after reading so many VNs with ADV text boxes and voice acting recently. But I really, really liked it. As much as the original even. It goes without saying the comedy is better in this, so that's one point in it's favour. And while the serious stuff isn't as long or "deep", it was pretty good in it's own right. Plenty of badass moments, and the ending was amazing. Right at the end when
  6. I named myself after my shaving cream. It's my name from an Xbox site that's carried over to most other sites I'm on (even though I don't play Xbox anymore). When I joined that site I was using a 2nd account, and just chose a randomly generated name for my Gamertag, then used that to join the site. I didn't really use foresight in that instance, but I'm fine with the name so whatever.
  7. Watched Seikon no Qwaser recently. Reminder that trap-on-girl is hot (trap is left): Too bad it was only in the ED.
  8. Seikon no Qwaser: TITS, TITS, TITS, something about chemistry, TITS, TITS, TITS!
  9. I used the first 6 Pokemon I caught for the entire game (I came across much better ones later, but the OP EXP Share made this handicap a non-issue). The fact a male Ralts happened to be one of the first 6 Pokemon I caught was fate, and as an equal opportunity trainer I made it my long term partner. Was my 2nd most useful member after Sceptile too. They couldn't ignore Gardevoir's girth. Gardevoir really put the D in Dragon pokemon. It provided useful coverage. This reminds me of when I got crushed by a Floatzel. It was in Gen 5 Battle Subway so the circumstances are a little different, but the basic idea was the same. I was on a 90+ win streak in super singles, defeating all sorts of legendarily and other great Pokemon in the process. Then my entire team gets one-shotted by a Floatzel lead. I now hate Floatzels. I mean just look at this cocky bastard, he knows what he did.
  10. It's definitely silly, and pretty much everyone who's heard about it has laughed at it. However it's also a little sad at the same time, as it's not some ironic joke. It's the actual ruling of a country's official classifications board. According to them a saccharine game about cute girls is WORSE than this (don't look if you're squeamish): It's not the only example of the Aus classifications board being laughably inept, but I'll leave it at that as to not stray too far off topic.
  11. The Grisaia common route surprised me more than anything. Heavy stuff I was expecting, amazing comedy I was not. But as far as character routes are concerned I guess the Amane route did surprise me a little too. It wouldn't have surprised me if I read it immediately after starting, as it vaguely fit into the "heavy" content I was expecting. But after reading the long common route my expectations were a little warped, and I wasn't quite expecting fun loving Amane's route to be Huh. I also hate tsunderes and often skip their routes entirely, but I might give this one a go should I end up reading Rewrite.
  12. Nah too late, was already evolved by then. Plus I named it after a trap immediately after catching Ralts, the plan was set in motion and was not going to be stopped by Wally's anti-trap propaganda. Plus since Gardevoir's a fairy type it was useful for wrecking any and all dragons.
  13. I've been watching Seikon no Qwaser. Shit cray yo. There's breast milk geysers that turn people into giant eagle monsters and even a breast milk spirit bomb. Sasha is a pretty cool dude though.
  14. ...but seriously guys, it's clearly the Maria Holic OP:
  15. I've only played Rorona, but it was pretty fun. I'm more interested in the dusk games, it just sucks the first is English only. My friend has Totori/Meruru, so I may end up borrowing those first after all. Here in Australia Rorona Plus was inexplicably rated R18+ on the grounds of "High Impact Sexual Violence", despite the original being rated PG13. (The ratings here go G - PG13+ - M - MA15+ - R18+, so it jumped 3 entire ratings). Think of the most graphically violent movie you know, and there's a good chance it got the same rating as Rorona Plus here (might have got an even lower rating, there's a lot of graphic violence in MA15+ movies. E.g. "Saw" is rated MA15+ here).
  16. It can't beat my male Ralts. Evolved it into Gardevoir anyway and named it Mariandale: http://myanimelist.net/character/65975/Mariandale
  17. Kirby straight to muthafucking business, putting to shame 99% of harem protags: Also, Shirou best waifu smile:
  18. Depends on the quality. Despite Grisaia's super long common route I was sad when it ended, would have loved for it to go on longer. But not all fluff can aspire to the dizzying heights of Grisaia fluff, so for many VN's being shorter would probably be for the best (Looking at you Hoshimemo).
  19. Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na is a good one. 5 solid romance routes. Not too serious, and there's a lot of SoL/school moments. There's references to a moon society, but it doesn't play that large a role in the story. The focus is well and truly the romance.
  20. I can beat that. Kagetsu Tohya's flowchart (I'll just post the link because it's fucking huge): http://i.imgur.com/hkYYjoo.jpg It's the sequel to Tsukihime which OP didn't seem too fond of looking at his scores, but it's sure crazy (different format though). I don't like complex flowcharts/routes so I didn't finish either School Days or Kagetsu Tohya.
  21. Finally started Ataraxia, enjoying it so far. A little under 20% in according to the game itself. The story progression is linear but pretty strange. I was told I didn't need a guide so I'm not using one, seems accurate enough so far.
  22. I see where you're coming from, but I don't go that far. I'll only skip routes if I don't like the character/scenario. Miyako's sadness in other Majikoi routes was just horrible. Made me feel shitty, and what's worse is her's obviously isn't translated. It's usually not that bad though. I read Yoakena recently and all 5 routes did a pretty good job in not making you feel bad. In them the other girls either didn't like the main character yet or kept it to themselves.
  23. I agree with this for the most part. I do cringe a little when the protag or someone else says "I've gotta do this because I'm a MAN", "what it takes to be a REAL MAN™" and stuff like that. It's ok in something like Fairy Tail with Elfman where it's taking the piss most of the time, but if this kind of thing is used completely seriously it's a little dodgy. I don't like when the lead is a complete doormat; but I'll take a weak, sneaky and intelligent bishonen over a buff, brave, and strong manly man every single time. In fact if the lead is intelligent it's probably for the best they're not also strong, for the sake of balance. They did this pretty well with Lelouch being not only weak, but below average fitness. Craziness is also another good one. I was a little disappointed in Sharin where it turned out Whatever his flaws, I'll usually like a lead if he's non-perverted and has interesting/entertaining conversations with the other cast members. Yuuji is the best at this from what I've read, though they Key protags are also very good at this too.
  24. My copy arrived yesterday, it's pretty cool shit. Really nice to re-live Gen 3 with everything being prettier. Getting Leaf Blade before the 3rd gym is super OP. Also:
