Crest/Banner of the stars, probably the show with the best characters i have ever watched. And by far my personal favourite. Even if the overall story is simple the character and world building are so good you don't even notice it.

Patlabor, it like your under arrest but with robots.
Gundam unicorn
Birdy the mighty decode, not sure if this one qualifies though.
Break blade
Full metal panic
Kiddy grade, it is not the best series but it is quite entertaining.
Stratos 4, also has its fair amount of problems but its entertaining
Solty rei, it has its problems but personally i always had fun watching it.
Desert punk, again not sure if this qualifies but its the best damm comedy i have ever had the displeasure of watching.
Why these, well i just dont like having anime in my reccomendations list that get recommended every single time, like cowboy bebob and outlaw star, trigun.

I can say it now, shuumatsu no Isella blew my mind, it's really cool.

Probably. It'll be, like, in English and stuff! All of a sudden the Japanese original will go, like, poof! Ruined!

Edited in a review of the series. Be sure to watch the dub, as it is actually better than the sub.

just finished reading Eden*,
I really liked the story, and the characters and was quite impressed with the attention to the pacing of the story.
personal favourites would be Maya en Elica in that order.
Maya, was a bit of a comic relief character but she managed to do it without being incompetent or annoying which you don't see often.
And overall i just really liked her character.

So 8/10 for me, but at the same time these kind of stories are not exactly for me.
I knew it was going to be a tearjerker from the start and that there was not really a happy ending to it, which left me impatient at some sports because i just don't like those endings.
They tend to make me mildly depressed and personally i would have wished to see a second slightly happier ending to the vn.
The CG were pletifull and wonderfully done which was enjoyable also the good use of antialiassing was nice to see as a lot of vn's in which you can change the screen size dont do that well.
 
And now i am in need of something a little happier, recommendation would be appreciated.
Mostly looking for something with decent pacing and no hyper active characters as I find those to get annoying rather quickly.
