  1. I'd have to pick the intelligent-sarcastic type out of the ones mentioned. They tend to be more interesting to read I think. The more serious-types but also kind. MC such as the one from Swan Song. They tend to calculate their thoughts and assess the situation more before taking action. The one that can annoy me the most is the clueless MC... typically in harems.
  2. so is that like a remake of the original DS game? or a part2? Which story is better, Devil Survivor 1 or 2. Could I skip 1, and just play 2 and not miss too much?
  3. I tend to like dark-themed stories.. but I played about 1-2hours into Euphoria... and did not really like it. Just a bit too extreme for my tastes, since I don't really like the torture aspects of it and it's a bit disturbing for me to enjoy. I probably would not buy it.
  4. RPG games. I like fantasy/war type of setting, with lots of turmoil and serious storyline with lots of like-able or mysterious characters. Examples: Xenogears, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals, Suikoden 5, etc. Rpgs with tactical elements are one of my favorite types.
  5. I just finished reading Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden last night. It was nice, but I think I liked the anime, Suzaku's story more.
  6. My result was 18,700 words. It's low compared to everyone else ; ; English is one of my native languages (I only used the other one until I learned English in Elementary School). I don't really read much unless its from video games/manga/VNs xD...
  7. Maybe 1-2hours a day after work.. sometimes more if I'm really into it. On my days off, if I'm in gamer mode, it'd probably be all day. Ever since I started studying jp though, it seems I game less since I use my free time to invest in that too. So I'd study instead if there isn't a game I'm yet totally interested in.
  8. Yup, anime probably influenced me xD ... I have been flustered once by someone offering to share a drink with me. The thought of 'indirect kiss' crossed my mind because I had a crush on them, so I got nervous and refused (more so because of that thought alone instead of the germs). That's the only time I ever thought of that seriously lol... I was like ba-dump ba-dump, omg I can't believe they want to share a drink with me! Yeahh~ I was weird. In general though, the idea of swapping germs is just kinda gross so I tend to avoid sharing drinks/food anyways. I'm less picky about that stuff if it's with family/someone I'm dating.
  9. I just got Fairy Fencer F for the PS3, and enjoying it so far ^^, it's almost like an rpg + visual novel type gameplay. The dungeon parts are in third person, where you can slash monsters running around to execute battle. The story portion is just like a VIsual Novel, it even has backlog for conversation and can replay dialog (that's first time I've encountered a console RPG that has something like that). The characters are interesting so far and amusing , I'm having fun with it!
  10. yeah, I meant to say I bought from MangaGamer I think, not from Jast xD. I had read somewhere, at first they weren't able to to use it but later somehow got the okay to include it back again.
  11. I suggest getting the voiced one! I especially liked Toko's voice. It's a beautiful VN, so you should get it complete with voice ^^
  12. maybe you could sort the untranslated ones by difficulty level too? Thank you for the list though! I might check some of them out some time and see if I can play any.
  13. No, I bought the physical game from Jast not too long ago. It does include all the voice-acting. I just installed the game disc and was able to play it fine with voice and all. Yes, it was in English with Japanese voice. My tastes might be strange/different xD but I enjoyed Princess Waltz (fantasy, action, moe). I also liked Crescendo (school life, romance). I also liked Kana. But I think Saya no Uta would be a good one to get too. I think you'd like Kara no Shoujo most... since you like mystery. It's quite dark though. In Saya no Uta.. it mostly retains a dark atmosphere and sense of wonder throughout. In Kara no Shoujo, you can bounce back and forth between times of happiness and then plunged into helpless despair. That's the difference it felt to me.
  14. After watching that episode of Seohyun dominating, she became one of my favorites^^ I never knew she was that cool! Jessica can be funny sometimes xD
  15. This looks like it may be interesting. Although I won't be joining, I'll be cheering for the Kuudere guild!
  16. My favorite episode of Running Man was when they played that handprint game that Sunny/Yuuna were secretly catching them. Then I also like the one where Seohyun had the bell and caught all the couples xD. So funny.
  17. I object.. not really a fan of the character or game, and don't like his red outfit so a 3/10
  18. First favorite is 12 Kingdoms. Second favorite would be Record of Lodoss Wars. Third probably Fushigi Yuugi. I wish to watch more anime like those...
  19. I'm obsessed with Girl's Generation, mostly Sunny! I liked watching their variety shows, they can be so cute/hilarious together. One of my favorite songs from them I ship Sunyeon xD
  20. Is it really safe? Have you used it? I just get kinda scared to put all my password/account info all in one spot. It'd be bad if it got broken into somehow.
  21. Although Japanese have their own specific culture, I feel like it wasn't too difficult to understand it. Probably because I grew up with both american and asian values being a first-generation born in the US. It was pretty obvious how teachings/values differed... to the point it got confusing to me sometimes growing up (hard to find identity to fit into either one). But it probably more easily helped shift my thinking when learning Japanese. I can see some similarities, such as the use of honorifics, etc. when compared to my own asian language/culture.. there are difference but lots of similarities too, especially in the importance of respect/etiquette for authority & older people and social harmony. I sometimes wished my asian native language was at least Chinese though lol, that would have been so much more helpful in learning Japanese. xD
