  1. Thanks for sharing that introduction It was interesting to read. I wish you the best on achieving your goals. 私も日本語を勉強しています。一緒に頑張ってね! Welcome, and I hope we could be friends!
  2. 0_0 the VN looks really coool with magical girls and it has yuri, yaaay. I appreciate you showing the link, -will keep it in mind and check it out some time!-
  3. Hi, welcome and happy birthday! (I saw it on the forum notice)
  4. . Overall the game had enough for me to like that I can't call it a bad game or a waste of my time and money, but I can't help but feel there's potential for a much better game in this that was squandered. I'll probably end up getting Shiny Days whenever it comes out though since it sounds like it may be a bit more fun and maybe Setsuna will get a better story "I can't help but feel there's potential for a much better game in this that was squandered." Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing. It may just be me, but I felt the characters sort of act out of character sometimes or too extreme. That also pissed me off
  5. To achieve the level where I'm able to even try reading/translating japanese to a decent degree (at least the easy ones), this is what I did. Reading through Elementary level grammar books.. then totally focused on learning by grade, the jouyou kanji from a kanji book using Anki to review almost every single day for almost a year (like learning 5-10 a day, sometimes more). I also used Anki to review vocabulary I learned in the grammar books and from the new kanji. I tried to reach 1000 kanji, before wanting to tackle the Intermediate grammar books. After reviewing old stuff and finishing the intermediate grammar books, I went back to learning a couple hundred more kanji... and just reviewing, reviewing... before I actually tried reading any japanese novel games. I think some people learn better by just diving in from the beginning.. but I got annoyed constantly having to stop while reading things, so I just focused on building kanji & grammar before trying to tackle anything. Oh and I think watching anime, and listening to it helped quite a bit in remembering certain vocabulary, and casual speech (which wasn't focused as much in the grammar books I read). I'm not gonna lie, I was quite discouraged a couple times going crazy with all the kanji and how different it is from english.. still do xD.. For me, I learned the hardest part about learning japanese is just finding the motivation and diligence to study and learn it every day. You really have to stick to it... I've been guilty of slacking off on my japanese, and I can see how fast it's easy to forget... so yes, review, review. oh.. and as you see from my method.. Since I mostly focused on reviewing kanji/grammar for reading, my speaking probably isn't very good though. -since I kept hearing about Jparser/ITH on here... thought I'd try checking it out... holy crap! It's awessomeee. tttyyy-
  6. I've cleared the ending I was going for (Two Lovers) and I'm glad that the ending was one that was actually decent. Almost makes up for the clunky story pacing I had to go through Lol, that made me laugh. I know what you mean though When I first played through it, I got Kotohana's happy ending.. just because I felt bad for her in the anime version. I thought she deserved to have her perfect ending in the game at least! haha
  7. Okay.. that first trailer was kind of chilling.. just so creepy how they mixed up tranquil scenes and happy smiles with such bizarre and bloody stuff. My reaction was like wth ... this is weeeiirrd. And I literally let out a small scream when I saw the gored up body in the second video.. lol. I think the only gorey-ish novel I've ever read was Saya no Uta and I did like the dark theme to it and it was interesting. I also liked Corpse Party. Despite my reactions, I may actually want to try this out of curiosity anyways if I get the chance to. I do enjoy the horror & gore genre^^ just not sure if I'd like it more focused on the nukige side though.
  8. What did you think of the H-scenes in it? I almost couldn't bear to watch, lol
  9. Kyaaaaa *super excited* I really liked the first game, so definitely looking forward to its release! It'd be nice to see the purple-haired girl again. I'm betting it will have japanese option too, since the first one had both.
  10. what about Hitomi My Stepsister or Crescendo sort of ... not sure if those count
  11. Yaaahh 12 Kingdoms is aawweesssommmee. Nice to meet another fan . I wish they had continued the anime series focusing on the different kingdoms and rulers. The avatar is one of the main characters in the video game called Shining Force EXA for the PS2. She specializes in magic tomes and crossbows^^ It was the first time I encountered the name Cyrille and thought it sounded really nice, and she was cool character too sooo the name stuck since. haha, cute
  12. I'll try looking into that some time, thanks! I played Princess Waltz a loonnng time ago, I just remember I played all the routes and really enjoyed finding out each girl's magical powers plus the card game was actually fun to play, haha. I've played some which were really hard to find back a long time ago. But with this site, there is so much to look through, pretty awesome! Yes, I've always appreciated fan putting so much effort into spreading these types of games. It's also helped motivate me to learn some Japanese. Thanks for the welcome! woow, at first I seriously thought that was the actual system xD that's a cool geeky cake! lol Thank you, I'll try thanks for the warm welcome everyone^^
  13. I've been on this site for quite awhile but just haven't signed up until now. I really appreciate everyone's hard work putting those translations out there. Without places like this, I would have missed out on so many awesome novel games! A bit about my anime/gaming tastes: Favorite visual novel games: Steins Gate, Princess Waltz, Saya no Uta, Crescendo, Swan Song, A Kiss of the Petals (YuunaxNanami, MaixReo), etc. Favorite animes: Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titans, 12 Kingdoms, Elfen Lied, Amagami (Tsukasa, Haruka, Sae), Kannazuki no Miko (ChikanexHimeko), To Aru no Railgun, Ga Rei Zero, etc. Favorite video game genres are RPG/Adventure. Right now, I'm really looking forward to upcoming games like Legend of Heroes SC, Corpse Party Blood Drive, and DanganRonpa 2nd. I'm thinking of trying to volunteer. I'm new to everything though, but I hope I can still be of some assistance! (I'll try posting on the volunteer section soon) Thank you for reading
