  1. I love the angel/wing types. And do elves count? And my second favorite type are the cat-like ones
  2. Just watched Fate Zero yesterday.. and really enjoying it. Can't..stop.. watching.. must.. finish.

  3. Xenogears Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits FF9 probably a lot more, but can't remember right now.
  4. Ohh~ these look really awesome. May I request one please? Name: CyrilleJ1 Title: Dreamer Avatar: My forum avatar is fine Gender: Female Birthday: July 1 Favorite Visual Novel: Steins;Gate Card based on: Steins;Gate If possible I'd like the mood to be more serious/normal (not cutesy). Have a time-travely feeling to it like with designs or clockwork perhaps. I'd prefer the background/pictures to have color/light instead of dark-themed. And my favorite characters are Okabe & Kurisu, so I'd be happy as long as they're in it, but if you could get all the lab members in, that would be cool too (whichever works!)
  5. Back when I was younger, my family didn't have a lot of money. There was the time when the PS2 came out, and I wanted it so badly that I begged my parents for it... Of course, they refused because it was too expensive. They made a deal with me that, if I were to achieve all A's in all my classes at the end of the year, they'd buy it for me with a game. I knew if I didn't do this, there really was no way for me to convince them since it was so pricey. In the end, I was able to get it because I accomplished what they asked . It made me so happy and because I worked so hard at it, it made playing my first game on the PS2 even more memorable (which was FFX). Especially because back then those kinds of graphics were also like -blows mind-.. It was a really satisfying achievement back then and made me believe I could do anything if I put my mind into it and worked hard. Oh, and I still have the PS2 system (still working) and the game in my collection.^^
  6. D: I think you're talking about me.. lol. The anime store I went into, the person didn't even bother saying hi, just sat and used the computer. The shop was eerily quiet. ^^; InvertMouse, you share very nice stories I enjoy reading them.
  7. That's a very sweet story, thanks for telling it. I'm glad you were able to find out what it was called. I'll keep it in my mind, and if I see it being sold anywhere, I'll be sure to PM you about it. So, I tried searching for it a bit, and had no luck. Maybe you could try tracking the game here Play-Asia. Although, I don't know how long it would take or if they would ever find it.
  8. VN wiiinnss!!!! I have seen like 1-2 episode of the anime, and dropped it because I didn't understand what was happening and got bored I guess. I'll have to check the VN out some time since I keep hearing about it. But I read somewhere that "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" is closely related to Umineko though... I personally did not like the Higurashi no Naku Koro anime.. so does that mean I won't like Umineko either?
  9. Wow! Okay, I'm totally looking forward to this one.
  10. VN: Koi Tate, still trying to get through Yukino's route. But almost finished I think. I keep hearing about Umineko.. I know it has an anime too. Is the VN better or the anime?
  11. I'm happy about that, but I really hope the battle system isn't the same as Ar Tonelico 3... or I may have to pass on it
  12. Sadly, where I live.. I don't think we have that store. Besides one other, I don't have much of a choice but to go to Gamestop since it has the widest selection of games in my area. Otherwise, I'd have to buy online especially if it's not popular, or not an action/sport game.

    Hentai

Let's just say, if I'm watching/reading 'hentai', it's probably not for the story. Whether I liked it or not, would be more based on how the h-scenes were. If I wanted a good story with interesting characters, I would be watching/reading something less hentai-focused or no hentai at all.
  14. I'm not sure about Watch Dogs, but I think there was a demo available for Conception II. I tried the demo, thinking it'd be fun since I tend to like those kinds of dating games... and strangely, I got creeped out by it. The concept is just sort of :/ gross to me for some reason? Using a harem of girls to make a bunch of kids to fight together in the dungeon... so you have a bunch of different kids from the different girls, and can have the mom & the dad run around with the kids following them like they are battle pets... eek. I usually watch gameplay videos or play a demo before I decide to pre-order or buy a game.
  15. umm.. I guess number 1. It both sucks though. Would you rather: 1. Have hiccups for the rest of your life (except when you sleep). 2. Have a odor problem for the rest of your life (always smell really bad no matter what you do).
  16. I do like buying pre-owned games from Gamestop, because their prices can be really cheap & they have a larger collection of games compared to other local stores around. I know I should have pre-ordered, but I wasn't in a rush to get it. It's not that big of a deal, since I know I can just buy it elsewhere, but I mostly made this topic because I wanted to rant how annoying they can be when they try to pass off a opened game as new.. and wondered if it happened to others. I usually just buy new games on amazon now, or if I'm really sure I want it, I do pre-order it ahead of time. The only deals I like from them are usually the buy 2 preowned, get 1 free deal they sometimes have.
  17. That's pretty bad. You may be right about them putting a NEW sticker onto the USED sticker. Probably because it's hard to tell with a vita game cartridge anyways. At least with a disc, you can see scratches more easily. I hate the stickers they put on the games too... it leaves marks on the box and looks old, especially if it's been on there a long time. That's how they sold the Fable 3 game box to me too, and it also had scratches on it. Or this could have been why your code was already used Kotaku - Gamestop sells played games as new
  18. Yeah, I may have bought it if it was a really rare game I couldn't find anywhere else. But the game just recently released, so I could easily get it elsewhere instead of paying full price for an opened one. I went in to buy it 'new' and did not expect them to give me an opened copy, and that's why it did not seem right. So it almost felt like being tricked into paying the same price for something of lesser condition, when I could get it same price elsewhere factory sealed. I think most people would be unhappy to be given something that seemed used when they payed full price for something they thought was new. I agree. This isn't the first time they tried to sell me an opened copy new. I was taken by surprise the first time.. so I just bought it since they already charged me.. and I didn't want to deal with the extra hassle. It was supposed to be a 'NEW' copy of Fable 3 for the xbox, and the box copy on the shelf was so grubby, had scratches, with bunch of stickers on it.. I took it to the counter thinking they'd switch it for the new sealed game, but they ended up just putting the new disc into the cruddy used box and I had to pay the 'new' price for it. That pissed me off so much, and that's when I became more aware they did such things.. which is why this time, I paid attention and refused to buy it if it was opened. That sucks they did that to you.. yeah, they can be pretty shady. That's why I won't buy any opened 'new' copies from them anymore (unless I can't find it anywhere, even online... then I'd have to settle). Yeah, that's why I rather keep my games then sell them to gamestop... If I know it sells for more, I'd just keep and try to sell it online or something. Just kinda annoys me that they do stuff like this... if it's opened, they should at least mark it down a little to make up for it instead of trying to sell it 'brand new'
  19. Today, I went to Gamestop to buy a new game.. and there was only one copy left on the shelf apparently so they were going to give me that one. I guess I'm just super picky, but I refused to buy it since it was opened/had a sticker on it and such.. and I was paying full price for it anyways. I just don't like the idea of it being opened if I'm buying it brand new. If it was pre-owned, of course I wouldn't care. Annoyingly, when I refused to buy it, the worker there was trying to convince me it was new.. I know what new means! It's also because I wasn't in a hurry to get the game, so was willing to buy it elsewhere properly sealed or order online. Do you guys buy gamestop new games opened like that? Just kinda curious about people's thoughts on it.
  20. Personally, in my mind, I consider it yuri content because it still gives off the sense/feeling of two girls together (at least just from outer looks alone). Just like Koisuru Otome to Shugo no Tate, a guy crossdressing as a girl... but he looks completely like a girl in disguise, so in my mind it's almost yuri-ish... it just plays tricks on my mind . I can still enjoy it as yuri content, but at the same time, part of me knows it's really not. Technically, I don't think it would be categorized as Yuri, because in reality it's not two 'girls' (actual female parts included!).
  21. Yaaay, a Yuri lover! I love it too! Welcome to the forums!
  22. I'm self-studying japanese, and I definitely recommend these grammar books. I've completely gone through the Intermediate one and really love it. I'm planning to get the advanced one, once I feel more confident with everything I've learned so far. The grammar rules are alphabetized so you can easily look them up again if you need to, and there are plenty examples listed under them. There is a small description under each that explains when/why you would use them. It also gives you similar grammar rules to the one you're currently learning, and when it's appropriate or not to use them in comparison. And at the end of each grammar point, it summarizes useful notes, to give you a better understanding. Each example sentence is written in japanese with kanji, but has furigana on top of them. Underneath each example is the english definition. The book is also decent-sized so you can bring it around to study. It's about hand-size for me, and about 2inches thick. Just my thoughts on it!
  23. -Cyrille uses ice magic to freeze Mario Jackson, so he can't dance anymore, and then tornadoes his frozen body into the deep ocean-
  24. I think that sounds right. When I was a kid, as a female growing up around a bunch of boys, they always told me to be careful of guys trying to become my friend. They said, a guy usually becomes friends with a girl because they have some kind of interest in them. Of course, I shrugged it off and didn't listen because I believed a boy and girl could have platonic friendships. After more experience, however, it almost rings a little true... I think it's easier to stay friends as boy-girl if one or the other already has a reason not to pursue each other. Otherwise, romantic feelings may eventually creep up once you become closer friends. Oh my gosh... I love your avatar. The green hair and red eyes, soooo cool & pretty!
