  1. So I moved houses recently, and I am liking my new room quite a bit. That large window beside my bed lets the moonlight peer into my room, so even with the lights switched off, I can still see a little bit. Moving houses also gave me a chance to get rid of all my clutter, and I got a new laptop and mattress along the way. Ready for some relaxation, basically. Last night, I snuggled into bed, flipped off the lights and read a bit of Fragments’ Notes on the iPad. Is this a game everyone in the community is going on and on about? Maybe not, but I enjoyed the read before I dozed off for the night, because I found the environment so relaxing. That made me think, setting up the ideal reading environment can help quite a bit. Locking that door so you can maybe do some embarrassing roleplay. If there is something you have always wanted to try out, why not put yourself in a space where you can do so? On the flip side, if someone barged into your room after every other sentence, you might have a hard time enjoying any game. For handheld games, I tend to play them when I commute, which is fine and all, but that sun keeps glaring off my screen, making it hard to see. Little things like that can spoil an experience. I wanted to ask if you folks have any creative setups for VN reading? If not right now, maybe some ideas we can potentially try out? Perhaps putting yourself into a position where you can play the music nice and loud without getting yelled at. Just the idea of testing out something different could be enough to make you smile a little more. I prefer to game alone, but other people might want to try and set up a reading group, for example. One time, I heard a workmate talking about how he loved to watch films at home with some red wine. We could do the same, possibly. My other question is, got any iPad VNs to recommend? Or maybe just some games. Sorry for potentially derailing the chat. Thanks for putting up with these rambling thoughts. Really hope to read about yours .
  2. Just stumbled upon this http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=425876040
  3. Narcissu has a few lines that a repeated throughout the game(s), and I find those to be so effective! I cannot remember how exactly it was translated, but this one: That was a good one B).
  4. Haha, gold XD! I would love to see a Doom or Quake visual novel :3. In fact, I have wanted to draw some moe versions of those covers, but my drawings are no good (;u;)~
  5. Good work on the release! The game is looking more and more polished. I hope to give this a run through sometime .
  6. I recall playing this back when I was in college! It was a cute little game, if memory serves correctly. The visuals were particularly well done. I guess this never did too well in the west? This was before the time when I could afford buying games, otherwise I would have shown my support for sure.
  7. Thank you folks! So glad you enjoyed the read .
  8. Just stumbled upon this and it looks pretty genuine so I thought I would share it: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=410867351

  12. Because we want ZE3 so even if the page says ABC2 we will still come to the conclusion of ZE3 B).
  13. Cool, finally got a chance to look into the demo build : - Ah, Unity eh . - Wow, very cool! I expected it to be a funky looking visual novel, but maybe this is more along the lines of a point and click adventure. Love the kick ass camera pans as you select each object. - When you hover over an object, it says, for example, "CHAIR", then the description in a tiny font. Could it just say "CHAIR"? The tiny description at first made me think, "How am I supposed to read that ?" - I can immediately relate to Steven because I make those sorts of puns as well (-//u//-)... - And then I realize you can scrub through the game using that bottom slider. Really, really cool . However, I did just find it by chance. Maybe direct players to it somehow? - Is the game set in Melbourne by any chance? I happen to like Melbourne quite a bit (>w<)/. - At the moment, the GUI might be a little tough to figure out, but it is pretty fun to play with. No doubt it can be refined as the project progresses. Good luck with this! Hope it goes really well for you .
  14. Thanks Rooke and BleedingSt4r! And thank you as well Macaron. Really appreciate your thinking the project is worthwhile m(_ _)m.
  15. Finally got time to check out a bit of the demo! Thoughts as I go: - Love the effort you put into the menu! The way those buttons bounce as you roll out, even the sliders have a rollover state--great kinaesthetics . - Oh, never expected the voice acting. Cool! - "When are you finally turning 17?" Haha, a long time ago friend (TuT)................ - My own fault but I typed a male name and turned out I was a girl XD~ - Pretty cool how it is in widescreen ratio . I will see if I can read through the demo sometime, but yeah, good stuff .
  16. Voted yes on Greenlight! Good luck with the project .

  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVc4RKQSHa8&list=UUbc0jPjgo4r_McbzaLajKWQ Being able to control fate would be a blessing for many. To Miyon, it is her greatest curse. East and West Taria are in conflict, and Miyon's power will be the most valuable weapon. Meanwhile, Gai has been sold by his family into Miyon's temple. Will the two save or destroy one another? Hello everyone ! Here is my latest project, Cursed Sight. It has in fact in brewing for quite a while now, and I am happy to finally be able to share it with you all. A demo version of the game is available here: http://cursedsight.invertmouse.com/demo.html So far, my most common feedback is that my previous titles were too short. With Cursed Sight, I am hoping to find a balance between staying succinct and satisfying the players' wishes. The full script is currently around 45,000 words long. Cursed Sight will also be my first release with multiple complete endings. There is currently a campaign to fund the full game. I hope to have your support: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1013046199/cursed-sight-visual-novel Cursed Sight is currently also on Steam Greenlight. If you could consider sparing a moment to vote, I would really appreciate it: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403682653 Here is Cursed Sight's webpage: http://cursedsight.invertmouse.com And a few screenshots: Before signing off, hey Rooke, Flutterz, thank you so much for helping me out earlier on. I will always remember your support . Nosebleed, thanks for letting me post this here as well. As discussed, please feel free to move this over to Ongoing Projects. Thank you so much everyone! Really appreciate you all as always.
