  1. Aw man, I guess this whole kickstarter thing is a pretty tough topic at the moment . I have never managed any project that involves this amount of money, so I feel uncomfortable calling things either way. A few months back, I made a post sharing my photos from my 2011 Narcissu trip with a Japanese friend. Narcissu is a really important game to me, and if there is an opportunity to get something physical in my collection, I am just excited by the idea of that .
  2. Everyone here is really awesome, but I have to be the one to post this. Narcissu was my first visual novel, and it is one of my favorite stories from any medium. Anyway, I will let you folks take a look: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/narcissu-10th-anniversary-anthology-project (^-^)
  3. Thank you babiker! I am really glad you enjoyed the game, and the same goes for everybody else. There are no plans for a sequel but I am thankful people have asked :).
  4. Sorry for the late response and thank you for the good wishes Zodai :D!
  5. Thanks for the responses! Zebhra, wow, whatever that game is you are playing, it looks pretty awesome :3.
  6. Hello folks :). Last year, I finally played through this old FPS named Hexen, and I loved the experience thoroughly. The game has a lot of puzzles that are related to one another, so I ended up jotting down notes as I played. It felt great to write down an observation, then cross it out later after I manage to solve a particular puzzle. A few years ago, I also played through this game called Etrian Odyssey IV. The game has a digital map that you can draw out as you explore the dungeons, which was pretty fun. Just the simple idea of discovery. I figured it the digital map did not exist, and you have to painstakingly jot out the dungeons on paper, there might be something rewarding to that as well. Have you ever played a game that forced you to use pen and paper, and you got a rewarding experience out of it? I also wanted to see if there are any other games like Etrian Odyssey, where you have to draw out your own maps. I figured it might work for those dungeon crawling VNs, but maybe it is too hardcore for a broad audience. Thanks :)!
  7. Buy for me buy for me buy for me buy for me (>w<)! I love this show so much that they should seriously hire me to be their marketing guy .

  9. Yeah, I had no idea it has been around for this long! My favorite is Jett (^w^).
  10. Thank you CeruleanGamer! Well, the game has no adult content so it will indeed be the full package .
  11. I played through this on Sunday and found it to be pretty entertaining! Ended up liking the cast quite a bit. After finishing the game, I watched a documentary about Korean SC team houses, and I felt like playing some matches, too. Then I remembered that I suck .
  12. Hello everyone! Hope you are doing awesome. Earlier this month, I flew to Melbourne for a week and recorded a bunch of footage for Without Within 2. I also learned some new things about the city, and I look forward to dropping in those details where appropriate. Really hope I will be able to share my love for new places with everyone through this game. I wanted to quickly show off some of the photos I took while I was in Melbourne: According to my phone, I walked 50km in a three day span during my time in Melbourne. I hope you will enjoy the game as well as the optional footage. Thank you friends !
  13. Thank you for the responses everyone! I had no idea there were different types of meditation. At the moment, I am trying out one where you focusing on your breathing. No idea what type that even is . I will see if I can give the materials you shared a look, too!
  14. Hello everyone . I subscribe to a few marketing as well as psychology podcasts, and meditation gets mentioned quite often in topics of this sort. To be truthful, I never spared meditation much thought. I have a day job, so I pursue my game development endeavors before and after office hours. If I have time to sit there and think about nothing, why not do some work instead? Or at least, let me think about the things I want to get better at. For example, I evaluate my performance after a basketball game, and that helps me improve. Meditation, however, requires you to empty your mind. What can I possibly gain by doing that? As the topic gets brought up over and over, I am becoming more interested in meditation's potential. I actually gave it a try this morning (probably not even doing it right at all), and I have short sessions scheduled into my personal calendar. Having played basketball for 20 years, I do believe in this concept of the subconscious. Using my brain to anticipate movements is several hundred milliseconds too slow. If I instead switch off my mind and depend on muscle memory, I can make a move before my brain has made the decision to do so. Commentators often say a player is "unconscious" when they are dominating. Those who have been through the journey will understand right away. If I sound like I am rambling, that would be because I am. I am certainly not some kind of genius who claims to know anything about the human mind. In that case, maybe meditation has some benefits that I am unable to even comprehend at this stage. I wanted to ask if anyone has some insights on this topic? Maybe if you have tried meditating and have stories to share, etc. General opinions are welcome, too. Thank you !
  15. I know Initial D is not necessary some sort of philosophical show, but this one particular scene has always stood out to me:
  16. @astro: Too little screen time in the anime to determine (TuT)~ @OriginalRen: Love what you do here for us mate !
  17. @Astro: 1. Umaru 2. Kirie 3. Sylphy 4. Ebina for me (>u<)~ But yes, Umaru emoticons would be nice! She is getting a Vita VN so it is justified :3.
  18. Thank you for the responses! I am happy to hear plenty of people here like Umaru as well . @Satsuki: ( ^-^)/(TuT ) @Flutterz: Yeah, I keep forgetting what those board things are called XD. A shishiki or something? @Nosebleed: I agree with you so much! In some of these scenes, the characters hit you right in the heart with only a few words, and sometimes with a single facial expression. So great (>w<)! To be honest, I did feel a tinge of sadness for a moment after giving the board away. Last year, I got a Mami board at the Madoka movie. At the time, I was so happy, but then I put it on my shelf and never looked at it again, so yeah. Sunflower Wars is not on my schedule unfortunately but thank you so much for asking! @monkeysrumble: I can definitely understand why people would dislike Umaru as well. Actually, I feel like they toned her down after the first two episodes. It makes me wonder if the mangaka maybe calmed her down a bit from the initial responses, or perhaps I am just thinking too deeply into this. I reckon if you still hate her after three episodes, that might be a safe time to give the show a drop. I had a booth at a con in Melbourne earlier this month, and I doodled some Umaru pictures while I was there:
  19. Hello everyone ! Anyone else watching Umaru-chan this season? You know, I hated this girl so much at first. That sloppy attitude destroys what it means to chase dreams, but I gradually saw Umaru caring for her loved ones, and I warmed up to her. This is now my favorite show of the season, and one of the shows that brought me the most joy in recent memory. In one of the later episodes: The next day after seeing that episode, I went out to watch the Love Live film. Over here in Sydney, we got autograph boards, but they were limited in number, so if you showed up late, you missed out. I got a Nico board, which was pretty neat. After the movie, I met a Twitter friend who was a huge Nico fan, wearing a Nico shirt to the cinema and all. Unfortunately, she showed up late, so she missed out on the board. At that moment, I remembered that scene from the Umaru episode I watched last night, and I gave my Nico board to her. I love Umaru because she really connects with me in some ways. As in, I can be a bit of a loner, having the most fun when I game or watch anime alone. In the end, though, these goods are a whole heap of plastic, and I figured we probably came to this earth to hang out with people. Thank you Umaru, and cheers for reading !
  20. Cool ! If they mention at some point that this is in fact the conclusion to a trilogy, I would become very interested. I loved both the first and second games, but I actually skipped out on that Ultra Despair spinoff title. Let's see how this one plays out. Kirigiri's best girl, by the way .
  21. Thank you for all the responses everyone !
  22. Hi everyone ! I am watching the Love Live movie this weekend and I wanted to see if anyone else here i--oh (((((((OuO))))))).......
  23. There are no ghosts or demons involved in this story, but I swear by the boobies that this really happened. When I was about six, my parents bought me a copy of the Doraemon game for the gameboy. I grew up in Hong Kong, so Japanese titles were easily accessible. Anyway, it was just a standard game I enjoyed for a while. Like a lot of other kids, I grew up being pretty sloppy, so at some point, I lost my copy of the game. Maybe I lent it to a friend and then forgot about it. It never upset me too much. Then one morning, I opened my drawer to find not one copy of the game, but three of them. If it happened to me today, I would probably freak out. For some reason, in my six to seven year old mind, I just thought, "Oh, how interesting." How did it happen? I had an older brother and older sister, so did their friends lend us multiple copies of the game or something? Neither of them were gamers, though. I asked them as well as my parents, but none of them had an explanation to offer. This story is not meant to be scary or anything. I highly doubt some sort of ghost can actually pick up three copies of a game and dump them into my drawer. There is probably some boring explanation that had escaped my mind at the time. Back then, I had no phone to take a picture with, either, and now, I have lost all three copies of the game. All right, thanks for reading! Happy to hear any theories you might have . Please feel free to share any weird stories you have here as well .
  24. I-I just stumbled upon it, okay (>u<)?~ http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=510025840
  25. Yeah, I probably would to support the community . My bookshelf is already crammed, anyway, so I prefer ebooks a lot of the time.
