I think you mislook the word in the photo 動き as 働き

I know someone who reliably gets migraines after eating food containing a certain very common food dye (I forget which one - Red number something), so she watches her diet very carefully to avoid it. So, yeah, there's probably something to that bit.
 
An actual confession for something I feel moderately self-conscious of: I'm interviewing someone at work next week who is thinking about an internal transfer to my team. Was flipping through the CV, realized the person is probably about the same age as I am, and also saw a mention that they have a hobby of working on video games, and thought, "cool, a real kindred spirit here". I got a meeting invite for the interview, which automatically populated an employee photo of them on my screen, and discovered she's a cute girl. So, now I'm somewhat unreasonably excited, and hoping she aces the interview so I can enthusiastically recommend hiring her.

ugh..... ive been debating on drawing more attention to this, since its the very first fan fic ive completed, but after 2 years of it having no feed back ive become a bit desperate. its on MAL and i have no plans of moving over to Fuwa since that would take a lot of time.
 
as i said it was my first fan fic that ive ever completed so go easy on it. this is a fan fic for the anime clannad and its second season clannad after story. the setup is it takes place 5 years after (SPOILERS FOR CLANNAD SO CONTINUE READING AT YOU OWN RISK) Nagisa passed away from child birth. the twist is that tomoya doesnt end up dead with a dead ushio in his arms. instead it focuses on him moving on with his life with ushio and he just might find new love in kyou fujibayashi, the girl he knew from high school.
 
i focused on kyou because she is one of my favorite girl from the clannad universe. just look at her, she is so pretty.


 
Now i know the pacing is off on some parts where it just jumps around or goes too slow, so cut me some slack. its not im trying to revolutionize the fan fic world. im just trying to tell a story and look at me stalling on the link to my story. what nice weather we're having isnt it? have you heard of the show attack on titan? nice show isnt it.

Honestly this applies for me as well. Even though I don't plan on getting married anytime soon, I tend to look for people who I could imagine myself married to. That sounds kind of weird, but its true. I'm not the type of person who likes making commitments, but that's because when I do, I treat them dead seriously. And no matter how you look at it, a relationship is a pretty big commitment. A casual relationship (even if sex was likely to be eventually included) wouldn't be something I could involve myself in. Mostly because I can't see myself committing to somebody under those circumstances, and if I can't at least picture myself devoted to a person, then I won't bother with even staring a relationship. And for the record, I have been in the situation where such opportunities were available, but I turned them down. I felt kind of stupid afterwards, but it's how I am.

Do you have a strong motivation to learn Japanese?
Can you spend a fair amount of time on learning?
If you are a beginner and have interests in reading untranslated VNs and/or eventually becoming a part of the translation culture, then this thread might be for you!
I’m looking to help someone become self-reliant in Japanese. That means being able to: independently seek out resources, form your own self-study sessions, and most importantly --- be able to read from VNs and learn from them.
 
I will serve as the guidepost, giving you tips on what to tackle next. I will devote time to seeing your growth as long as you devote your own time to invest in learning Japanese. My approach will be purely on grammar. You’ll have to do all the vocab/kanji learning on your own. My goal for you is to get you to understand how Japanese sentences work. How do all the words relate to each other in the sentence. I’ll try to get you to learn from patterns and examples.  From then on, you can try to read manga/VNs and put the piece of the puzzle yourself.
Scheduling will be entirely reliant on you. You should create your own schedule. Try to learn it first, then come to me with questions and clarification. If I have time I can teach you the new topic myself. You can contact me anytime I’m free. 
It is imperative that you try to create a study routine --- keyword: routine. It needs to be a habit; it needs to be a lifestyle change.
Ideally, if you want to learn Japanese fast, you’d want to have full immersion. You’d want to have your free time devoted to anything related to Japanese: be it Anime, JP Manga, Drama, TV shows, VNs, etc.

Unfortunately, I am but only a single person so this offer is only for one or two people. Keep in mind I am Eastern Time Zone (EST)… My weekday schedule is EST evenings.
What are your long term aspirations/goals? What are your short-term goals? Which VN would you like to read eventually? How much Japanese do you already know (if you do)? How much time can you devote?

I Also have an interest in learning Japanese . I tried to learn it a few years ago but never got far. My long term goals are being able to read Japanese VNs and maybe translate them in my own language (Dutch) since there aren't many games available in Dutch at the moment . Are there any fuwanatics wanting to help me achieve that? Any tips?

You know, there's some people like Tom who finds a girlfriend and says sayonara to these forums. If you guys would stop bolting the minute you get your sticks wet, we wouldn't have such drastic numbers. 

My cousin is set to go to Univ. of Wisconsin (Madison) this year. I'm going to go with her when she moves so I can have an excuse for a road-trip (New York to Wisconsin).

Confession: I'm going through one of my ex's first mom stages. Last night she was comparing how I've been getting younger everyday while she's aged a lot since her pregnancy. She thinks it's going to be a big problem if we live together and I start fancying younger girls. But I told her I'd stay up to watch the kid while she can go out all she wants.

Confession: Saw the mother of my child today. I'm making plans to be a part of the child's life. Already took that first step today. That is if she thinks my life and the child's life is important enough to her to get out of that house she's in, divorce and move out of the state with us.I'm no longer in love with her, but I'm willing to compromise in order to be in my child's life full time. I advise all boys get your fun out of your system before you settle. I honestly am wiling to trade in all the women I'll meet in the future for my little girl. It's not even suffering. I'm actually looking forward to it and think it'll be a lot of fun. 
 
She could end up backing out (again) but that's fine. Either way, I want to be part of the child's life whether that's for the holidays, pay child support or what not. I'm fine either way. But it really looks like the first plan is moving forward. She's practically begging me to take her away from the home she's at and regretting how much she's lived it out without me. I could be ending up in Hawaii in a couple of months. Woo, interesting changes coming. This is what makes life worth living. 

I have one high school classmate who died from straight-up playing on the internet for hours and hours.... I mean I used to do it too when I was young. I was a MAJOR internet addict (mmos like Ragnarok online). But I never deprived myself of food or sleep. I don't know how people can get addicted to the point that they'd neglect basic bodily needs..

I watched this documentary called Web Junkie the other day... It's about kids being so addicted to the internet (sometimes playing couple weeks straight or even months). They are put into these centers, almost like a jail, to "cure" their addiction. They take classes, listening to lectures to change their way of thinking and must adhere to strict rules/exercises. Forced to stay 3months against their will once they are brought/forced inside the center.
 
I personally don't think it's effective at all, and disagree with what they put the kids through.  I'll probably elaborate my own thoughts on why I think so later.
 
-But I'm just wondering what other people's thoughts on it are. Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think their methods work for curing internet addiction?
 
-Why do you think some people get super addicted to the internet, and what method do you think would work best to stop the addiction?  (Like example: If you had a child that was going through this Internet Addiction, what would you do?)
 
-Also, I'd like to hear any personal experiences with Internet Addiction as well if anyone has gone through it, whether you're still addicted or have gotten it under control (how you did it).  It'd be interesting to hear people's stories.

On the one hand 'road trip with my bros' doesn't exactly capture the majesty one would expect from a FF plot, on the other hand good action RPGs are few and far between so I'll probably get one of my friends to buy it and play it at their place.
