  1. The story is worth the hassle. That said, I'd really recommend you use a guide for YU-NO, so you know exactly which things to click and how many times. I'd probably go insane if I'd tried going into it blind, considering all the different paths and jumping back and forth that is required to progress.
  2. I've finished Kotori's and Iyo's routes so far. I've kinda assigned Azusa's route (and later Yumi's) along with The Outer Worlds as therapy for my soul inbetween Maggot Baits sessions. All in all, Nanairo Reincarnation was beyond my expectations both quality-wise and in terms of how heavy the story would be. Like I mentioned previously in this thread, I originally expected it to be just some regular comedy nukige, but it went well above that to the point where I'd say it's probably the game/VN that has surprised me the most (in a positive way) this year. I guess I should thank you for your earlier input, since that was what steered me towards checking it out!
  3. Yeah, kinda. It was pretty long though, so "bad end" doesn't quite feel like a sufficient classification. Well, whatever. In any case, it was a big waste of time for me personally, but I guess people who are into those particular fetishes might find it enjoyable. I'm at chapter 3 now, and things are looking up now that the main story has moved along a bit.
  4. Indeed. It seemed more or less detached from the main storyline, which probably isn't so strange considering how you enter the route.
  5. Finished one route in Maggot Baits, and it was pure garbage. It just consisted of scene after scene of a very specific theme, which I'm not into whatsoever. Namely, The story was pretty much nonexistent in this route, so I figure its entire purpose is to satisfy people with that particular fetish, meaning it's not all that surprising that it wasn't for me. I just hope the true route is going to be worth it in the end.
  6. Maybe you could find a frame you like in the anime? The design seems pretty good.
  7. Ah, thanks! I've actually used a couple of guides from there before, but I'd forgotten the name and url.
  8. Okay, so I've decided to torture myself by reading this, despite usually being put off by gore, sexual abuse and whatnot, since I hear the underlying story is supposed to be good. Is there a guide available somewhere? I don't mind if it's in Japanese as long as I can make out which choices to pick.
  9. Yeah, that confused me as well when I read it a while back. The UI changes after you're done with the prologue, and you can save then.
  10. Nope, Kotori's. I dunno when exactly the routes branch off, but that scene is probably a part of the common route if both of us got it. There was another instance where the text seemed to be a combination of several parts of dialogue mixed together. Other than these things, I haven't noticed anything weird except for a few typos.
  11. It's not that there was something in particular that I disliked in KiraKira that was then reused in Deardrops. It's mostly a combination of Deardrops feeling repetitive because of similarities with KiraKira, as well as some character traits and other stuff that I don't like. If you're interested in more in-depth impressions from me, you can refer to my previous posts in "What are you plaing?". (here, here and here)
  12. I'm looking forward to finding out what the new story revolves around and how it plays out!
  13. Just went through a pretty confusing scene in Nanairo Reincarnation. The gang was having a conversation at the dinner table, but the text was misplaced and didn't match up with the characters or voiced dialogue. An example: The entire scene went like this, so it was kinda hard to keep track of who was saying what.
  14. I just hope they manage to make the story interesting somehow. Deardrops kinda felt like a copy+paste of KiraKira in many regards (it's one of the reasons that I didn't enjoy it very much), and I'd say there's a pretty big risk of that happening yet again when they keep going with the same theme over and over. I hope they manage to prove me wrong here!
  15. It's a good thing if they've mended some of the damage, , but the heroine routes (which aren't a part of Cruise Sign) are probably still as broken as before, since I doubt they'd go out of their way to retranslate those out of good will towards the consumers. I imagine the poor suckers who don't know about the retranslation patch will be like "Whoa! What the hell happened!?" once they go from a somewhat acceptable translation in the common route to something like Ageha's!
  16. Haha, seriously? I'm not that far along yet, but that sounds like some really lousy prioritizing! I'd actually been thinking that it feels like a pretty high budget production so far, but it seems they went wrong somewhere down the line then.
  17. I'm reading Nanairo Reincarnation now and have to admit I was kinda caught off guard when this dude showed up all of a sudden: (NSFW)
  18. Done with Yukizakura now! While it wasn't quite on par with the other D.O. works I've read (Kana Imouto, Crescendo and Kazoku Keikaku), it was definitely a worthwhile experience. The only thing I was kinda disappointed by was Misato's route, despite her being one of the characters I liked the most overall.
  19. I suggest you go to vndb.org and either find something based on tags you like, or sort the VN list by rating and pick something with a high one.
  20. Ooooh, I was under the impression it's a comedy nukige and was going to pass on it either entirely or at least for the moment, but now I'm actually interested (like the masochist I apparently am)! I might give it a go when I'm done with Yukizakura!
  21. As someone who was really disappointed with how she I'm quite looking forward to this, hoping she'll redeem herself.
  22. I'm fine with the design, but I think they look a bit too glossy, like they're coated in a layer of oil or something.
