  1. They censor things even nintendo doesn't censor now, actually it seems nintendo are just way more liberal than them regarding ecchi content at least if it is in an anime style. Nintendo are supposed to be the child friendly don't want anything to corrupt the children kind of people while Sony is supposed to stand up for adult gamers, at least that was my impression, now they seem to have reversed though I think sony is still ok with tons of gore. Someone getting their eyes ripped out or hand blown up is fine though if there is a belly button or 1 layer of clothes instead of 2 then sony seems to freak out.
  2. Pretty sure they mentioned that they have 5 programmers working for them.
  3. Wonder how some companies can become so damn retarded. Sony was just doing so good at the start of PS4 and now they have just gone full retard.
  4. As someone who loves physical editions I am quite glad that in their Q&A they said they plan to have a focus on physical copies.
  5. Btw what do ppl think about their plan for the VN and LN platform named Hyourin? They made it pretty clear in their panel that they want to have that as a centralized platform, so pretty much like a steam for VNs. To me it sounds a bit too much like wishfull thinking. Sol Press panel video they talk about it roughly at 24 min.
  6. Definitely agree that Nekonyan so far have a much better track record and doubt it will change, however I think it is a bit to early to say Sol Press is mirroring SP. That being said I do think they might take a bit more than they can chew which is what I think ended up really hurting SP. Will be interesting to see if they take on more than they can handle or if their plan is to get a bunch of licenses in the start to build hype for the company and then slow down a bit on getting new licenses and going more steadily.
  7. Tune in for next and final part of this 3 part series of Favorite drama when we figure out if Nekonyan gets what they want or if AstralAir is taken from them as they cry in agony.
  8. Not sure this tweet is all I know. Though considering they mentioned this series I would assume they do all of it.
  9. Also just found out that they are going to do a kickstarter for Irotoridori no Sekai. Well not too unexpected. Also they are going to have even more announcments for the 18+ panel.
  10. They mentioned for like under a min ago that Sakura Sakura is going to come out in about a month. Though I kind of agree, they are taking quite a lot of titles quite quickly.
  11. On their panel they just announced Irotoridori no Sekai. Really interesting seeing it getting an official localization would have expected it from Nekonyan or SP instead though. Other than that they also announced Hitotsu Yane no, Tsubasa no Shita de and Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato
  12. Based on this and your introduction I would assume a some of your problems comes from you thinking negatively about yourself for not really managing to be as social as you want to be or as other people want you to be. Having been through that kind of suituation myself I would say the hardest thing is feeling like you don't meet expectations of others in regard to how social you are and pitying you for being a loner. This probably makes you try to fit in but you are just not really capable of fitting in and end up distancing yourself. If this is your suituation I think you should ask yourself what you really want, do you want to struggle to fit into what is normal for society or do you want to focus on doing the things you like and keep social interaction at a level where you find it confertable unless unconfertable interactions are necessary? Unless something is really needed in life I think struggeling to do something you really don't like doing is a bad choice that will just make you feel generally more stressed and unable to feel happy. If you find more happiness in literature than other aspects of your life then focus more on literature as that is what makes you happy.
  13. Personally I feel like part of the charm of a physical is to have everything on the disc.
  14. Depends how much custom likes to check things, in that case it would seem like they do a detailed search trough the content of every package, pretty sure it is pretty rare for it to actually be checked in Norway don't know how it is in other countries.
  15. I wonder how many of those people who claim everything was just so much better in the past actually went through a lot of the titles back there and didn't just read the clasics that most people praised. Hard to know how legitimate the claims are when there are so many more titles being translated into english now than previously which of course means not all of them are going to be samples of the best current VNs have to offer.
  16. Well you just have to work on english and get better at it, most people here are probably not native english speakers but rather have it as a secondary language. Considering the popularity of VNs you pretty much need to know english or japanese if you want to be able to read a decent amount of titles.
  17. Please tell me when you have reached the point of not needing a physical body and have uploaded your brain to the internet.
  18. So far in my 22 years on this planet I have never had a girlfriend so not sure if that is ever going to happen. Also I have no intention of dating someone who doesn't accept my otaku hobby, if the choice is between that and being alone I am fine with being alone.
  19. Depends on which type on VN you get a physical of. Japanese physicals tend to have quite large boxes while english ones are most of the times just in normal dvd cases unless it is a limited or collectors edition.
  20. Guess I will just try having it on japanese the whole time then and see for myself if any problems occur.
  21. I have a few japanese visual novels on the PC and I wonder if there is a way to get them to work without having to change location to japanese every time I want to read? Is there an other way to get them to work rather than having it set to japanese or should I just keep my system on japanese all the time (any potential problems that would cause?).
  22. Hard Work a nukige made by an english company, haven't read it myself but art looks nice. Negligee not sure if I could really consider it a nukige since it only has sex scenes at the end and a masturbation scene at the start though it does feature a good deal of nudity and I think the main element planned to sell it was sex. Galaxy Girls: Starlight Blossoms Bloom Brightest this seems to have a lot of sex scenes. Btw I am not saying I recommend these titles in general, the only one that I have gone through is Negligee which I found dissapointing though I do think they are nukige or close to nukige and feature good artwork while having been made by english companies.
  23. Personally I think visual novel should just be considered a visual novel and not really either a game or a book. While it can be combined with games through hybrid titles like Rance or Neptunia I think the visual novel in itself should just be considered its own form of medium. I think that to a large extent it is too different from other mediums to justify putting it into a subcategory of something else. Also to add to the main thing this discussion is about (have already answered what types of VNs I care for) I consider myself a part of the visual novel community that cares for physical releases.
  24. Lately most translations are official translations rather than fan translation. I would say it probably has to do with many old fan translators getting into official translation companies.
