  1. I think sibling incest might be convenient in harem series and short series. In terms of a harem series it is usually good to early on have characters introduced who loves the MC. If it takes too long people interested in it might drop it. Because of this I think that character tropes like little sisters and childhood friends are quite useful. Most of the time they already love the MC, as such they can be useful for quickly giving the viewer what they want and then be explored more in details afterwards. They may also be useful for nukige where the characters are suposed to be in love. Most nukige don't really want to use much time on buliding the relationships before they have sex. Because of this they either have to start with minor sexual acts and build up to actual sex while managing the ralationship growth, like for instance eroge! sex and games makes sexy games, or they can have a characters that already love the MC such as little sisters or childhood friends. The same would be true for short eromanga/nukige/eroanime where there isn't enough time to build a relationship. This is of course only in regards to where there is supose to be some kind of love between the characters, so most nukige would be excluded from this. This is of course not the only reason for sibling incest in media, but I do think it might have helped it get more popular in manga, anime, LN and VN than in typical western media
  2. Does that mean that Jast and MG are selling at a loss or are they able to sell that many hardcopies?
  3. On http://nekopara.wikia.com/wiki/Chocola I found this comment If this is correct it is even weirder
  4. Could wish more cyclet titles had a description on vndb, looking at the cover art there must be some freaking weird shit in those titles.
  5. It is not a question about whether or not we should fear the worst. This is moenovel we are talking about, the worst is to be expected. If you think they won't butcher the game you are probably delusional.
  6. Gues that means that they earn more money by selling hardcopies as limited kickstarter items rather than them being sold through both kickstarter and an online store at a later time.
  7. As the title state I am wondering why Sekai Project doesn't provide an alternative to kickstarter for buying their vns physically. I seem to remember something about them getting in trouble with their payment processor with regards to nekopara when they sold the nekopara hardcopy, however this should be quite a while ago and my gues is that they probably could have found a solution if they really wanted. This leads me to think that they are either too lazy to do it, which would probably mean that there are very few people who actually care for hardcopies or that they earn more selling them only on kickstarter by either selling them at higher prices or by selling more, using exclusivety to get them sold. While I am not a huge fan of Sekai Project there are some of their games that I would like to buy if they provided the chance of getting a hardcopy. Their kickstarters are riddled with problems like bad communication and massive delays, as such I don't think of them as a viable option. I wonder if there are more people than me who care for hardcopies as well as whether or not anyone have more info on why Sekai Project don't sell hardcopies through an online store like MG or Jast.
  8. 11. Funny how they have almost surpassed the sakura sakura kickstarter already
  12. To be honest considering the game is made by pulltop it is quite expected that moenovel would be behind the localisation. So it is being released in a way we expected, just not the way we want it.
  13. Personally i want to see moenovel fail with their next releases. The way they have handled the western vn marked just seems really bad. First there is konosora that they just censored the hell out of, so they could aim for the huge audience of 12 year old french girls just dying to get into enlish translated vns. Then it seemed like they had better strategy with the lovekami spinn offs, while the games weren't really good atleast from what we could see in the start it did not have an 18+ edition and therefore it didn't seem like anything was cut. Then they come out with info of the release of the japanese version which is the true full game with the 18+ content that seemed to have been planed all along. They even had the balls to promote the game for the japanese audience by using the fact that the game had been released in english and that the japanese people would exclusively get the 18+ content. Whatever their initial intent was this just looks really bad. First they made the people in the west think that what they got was the full game. Then they release the game for the japanese audience promoting their bellow average game through the fact that it had been released in the west and that the japanese would get a better edition. This action seems much more like an exploitation of the western vn fanbase rather than something made to please the fanbase. Looking at the cg from the 18+ version and knowing the general quality of the vns i don't think we missed out on much in the case of lovekami, however my principle is that i want the full experience of a vn with nothing cut. So atleast personally this pissed me of and from what i can see moenovel just doesn't seem to respect the western vn fanbase at all.
  14. Since you are looking for games originaly all ages i think you should go for more of the vns based on things that already had an anime. Examples would be nisekoi yomeiri, to love ru true princess (kind of meh), plastic memories, saenai heroine no sodatekata blessing flowers, himouto umaru ikusei keikaku and sakurasou no pet na kanojo. Since you already have some like re:zero and new game i gues you know a bit about the spinn of vns based on anime but since you didn't think of date a live twin edition there might be some of these that you didn't know. Other than these kinds of vns i think the vita library is quite limited in terms of vns that weren't originaly eroge.
  15. Have you really seen the ending of the manga? What you explain does not seem remotely simmilar to how it ended. The nisekoi manga ended with volume 25 chapter 229
  16. Most of the endings reach a real conclution and by most i mean the 4 main ones, Chitoge, Onodera, Marika and Tsugumi. There is also the ruri route which is a friend route. Mainly just deal with maiko's shenanigans and avoid making Ruri hate you. Then there is also the raku route which is preaty unconclusive, this is preaty much the nothing happends in the plot route. The Marika route and the Tsugumi route are mainly comedic while Chitoge and Onodera has more emotional routes. Personaly i feel like the Chitoge route was by far the one that stood out the most as it had the most emotional impact.
  17. There is no localization for this game but if you want to know if it is good or not i found it to be quite a fun read when i played it in japanese. The first part of the game consists of a mix of small events and some events that are a bit longer. It has been a while since i played it but i think the small events were roughly 5 min long while the somewhat longer ones were about 20 min long. Some of these events work as buildup for the end but most of them are filler, though they are still fun and filled with the same charm as the nisekoi manga. The end part of each route i found to be the most enjoyable part of the game. Each of the end parts of the routes are very varied and has a large twist to the story that in some cases makes it hilarious and in others make it quite emotional. The nisekoi manga also has a few references to the vn, i have found one reference in volume 16 and one i volume 18. If you know a bit of japanese i would recommend it. All the characters are voice acted so it is not that hard to understand with basic japanese knowlege, though there are some parts where you need to combine different hiraganas to make a word as an answer, which can be quite difficult. For this i would recommend trying to find the answer by just searching on google if you get stuck.
