I really wanted a MC with a good male friend, one that he can always rely on. Romance between them is not needed, just friendship is fine, but it would be nice to have some other important male character beside the protagonist and maybe the main villain... I'm also accepting otomes where the heroes are good friends and not rivals. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Actually, I'm with that problem myself in a different game. Still trying to find a fix. If the problem is again with Black Wolves Saga, I couldn't pinpoint the reason for this, let alone a solution. If it's another game, say it's name and I'll see what I can do.

Shouldn't be a problem to play in fullscreen. The only problem you might encounter is that isn't this a psp game? VNR have some limitations working with emulators...

You're welcome! Leave it online only if you're planning to use online translator like google or bing. If not, it doesn't really change much.

Maybe the 3rd one is still there bc the guys that made the subs (I can't tell what language is this either) didn't change their language so maybe they are stored under the english ones. If that's the case... well, I have no idea how to block them. And if the comment ones are better you can turn them on again, but, again, the ones that submited them made them comments and not subs so there's no way to put them on the blackbox. LEC seems to be active already (seems to be the last line). But if there's fan translations already (the second line), LEC won't be needed. Except if the fan translation is partial. Lastly, if you want ONLY the comments, if those translations are really the best ones and assuming it covers the whole game, you can turn them on and disable community subtitles and machine translations. Disable game text too if you want to get ride of the first japanese line.

You can disable other languages in this screen (click preferences in the spring board): Also, since it seems there are multiple english translations as well, I recommend turning off user comments under "options" in VNR side menu (the one on the side of the window when the novel is running).

If you don't plan to make any subtitles, you can safely ignore it, since the machine translation or jp parsing will work anyway. But if this really bugs you, do this: click the game icon in the spring board, then click "info" in the bottom of the spring board, then click "edit" in the bottom of the window, select what's already there and click "remove", then click "add" and type the right name or the URL of where you bought the game (you must select the right site!).

From my experience with otomeges and VNR, what can be causing this problem is either: 1) you changed the MC's name, never do that or else subs won't appear or 2) you installed the game in Program Files folder (this usually cause all types of weird bugs so always avoid installing there). Other things you can try are: in the novels's option menu (not VNR's) maximize text speed and be sure to check in VNR's menu on the side of the novel (under options, I think) if user comments, user danmaku, and community subtitles are enabled!

I couldn't agree more with this. I like to reach the routes and the endings on my own, but for some games this is pretty much impossible bc of invisible affection points system or way too random choices that somehow affect the story. Following a walkthrough from the start... kinda defeats the purpose of having choices, at least for me.

Weird, if there ARE subtitles, it means it's hookable... Cache file shouldn't be the problem at all... Sorry to ask but what game is this? I'll try to think about some solution, and knowing the game's engine will be easier for me.

You mean the subtitle box is not appearing for unknown reasons? Or try to check the option to "Keep all threads..." in Text Preferences (It worked for me once for a specific game).

Uuuuun... you didn't read this error message, did you? The solution is right there. A .dll is missing so either download VNR again or check your antivirus.

Honestly, I can't really remember my first crush >.< I think it was Demyx from Kingdom Hearts 2? But the most important one is Archer from Fate Stay Night, I can't really remember anyone before him. Hell, I'm only reading VNs now because of him. Currently, I'm adding to the harem (2D harem all the way) Yusuke from Persona 5 and Van Helsing from Code Realize.
