Oh right I agree, the most famous OELVN uses anime art, the most sucessfull OELVN kickstarter campaigns used anime art, including the most famous one Katawa Shoujo, which released quite a bit of Art Books throughout the years:

I was just acknowledging that it is one strong influence from JVN's that's unlikely to change.

That term runs into similar problems when trying to describe VNs made in Vietnam or Indonesia.

Someone who points his finger on others shouldn't forget that three fingers of his hand are directed on himself. I think PP would be better off checking out his own localization company first instead of badmouthing others. Especially since I remember some rants from him in the Jast forums too.
None of Sekai's releases I've played so far were buggy crash festivals or had untranslated parts because of a lack of proof reading. Can't exactly say the same for Jast's releases.

No...
Why are OELVNs generally considered worse than Japanese VNs?
Because they are, 90% of the time. Yes, there is good OELVNs out there, (like One Thousand Lies), but it's quite rare to find them.
Another issue is that most of them are made by indie developers with very small budgets, making it look rather "amateurish". I hate to say it, but the truth is, even the most amazingly written game can still look bad to most onlookers compared to the new, shiny, high budget VNs you can play instead. I think that's the biggest issue with OELVNs trying to make it in this market. And of course, the high amount of crap. (Sakura games and what not is a thing after all.)
To clearify, I'm not saying art is the most important thing in games, in fact it probably is the least important when you think about it, but first impressions is a real thing, and when you compare something with amazingly fresh and stunning art to something that looks like it was made in paint, people will naturally think the one with nicer art is better, even if it actually is bad in all the other aspects.
What are the attributes that make OELVNs stand out (in a positive way) from their Japanese counterparts?
They are usually written very differently, and this makes for a cool, new experience.

Someone should write a Romance of the Three Kingdoms knock-off, but with localisation companies instead of warring states.

It's all about JP-> CH -> KR -> Vietnamese -> English. Only way to get a translation.
 
I'm sure one of the following can decompile the scripts. Python allows you to use decompiled scripts on run time... so you shouldn't have to worry about that(recompiling).

Ah yes well, I actually want to release a PC release for people to use.

So I am currently translating the a PC port of Steins;Gate Linear Bounded Phenogram from Chinese to English. 
It shouldn't be that hard since a translation of all the text exists but the problem is that I don't know how to edit or open RPYB files, if I can't open those files I can't edit the text for the Novel. So does anyone know how to edit and open these RPYB files?

But yeah, this isn't something that's going fast enough to check it once a week (not to mention 5 times a day XD ). Especially not in this season, when I'm spending weekdays in my job and weekends in my garden.

Back then I wanted to fix the linebreaks and translate the Menus, which are half done...only need to find those files again. Maybe I'll throw the latter one in someday.
And yes, you should watch the anime first, and then go on reading the novel There is actually also a lightnovel out there, but it hasn't been translated yet.

Yes, that is my current plan. This is my first attempt at a crowdfunding campaign, and one thing successful, experienced crowdfunders advised me against is offering physical rewards as a first timer.

Synopsis
Follow Alpha as she changes herself and others across 4 unique routes.
The setup differs from most visual novels in that there is no common route - you simply pick the heroine of your choice from a selection screen and enjoy their self-contained story. Completing all of the heroine's endings allows you to unlock Alpha's and ??? shared route.

It is. There is no inherent ability on Fuwanovel that allows users to childishly hide posts from the community merely because they don't wish to hear it. In fact there is no 'neg' ability on Fuwanovel whatsoever, and therefore nothing to dissuade you from speaking your mind (as long as it adheres to the rules.)
