I like how vn's might have completely crazy stuff in them. Completely outside what normally might be in a story in the west.

I don't really enjoy the bad stuff though. Incest is rather tame compared to some other controversial stuff haha..

 

Also having somewhat mental characters are great. Like Fuminori insanity in Saya no uta, Subahibi characters haha, Protag in Grisaia. Being inside their heads is fascinating. Likewise Dexter from the tv series Dexter is similar in that regard. That what made the series good.

Playing Hana no No ni Saku Utakata no right now. It's alright. I have kinda problems getting into reading last week or so. So hard to tell how it is, but at least the vn is pretty enjoyable. Ouka and protag's setting, the mysteries stuff is good. Other than that it's not something jaw dropping.

A few years ago I would just read one vn at a time. Now days I read multiple pretty much. Although I don't really read them in parallel on the same day. I might read one vn for a few days, then jump to another. If I am really hyped I might complete a vn every 4 days or so. But normally I tend to have like 5 vn's or so I read on and off.

 

I am the reverse with normal books. I never read multiple books at the same time. This got me wondering.. Why don't I read multiple books at the same time? It's not like books are a lot longer or necessarily heavier. Honestly some vn's are pretty meaty and damn long as well. Like Baldr sky dive 1 + 2 took me 110 hours lol. (Have fun LinovaA, lol). I can come up with loads of ideas why vn's are different and therefore better for multi reading. But they all feel like excuses lol. I think I'll try to read multiple books at the same time out, wondering what I will react to it.

If I was going to be honest, which is what this thread's original objective. My end honest thoughts are prbly similarly hilarious as before <-- self irony.

My opinion is that I don't think the body and mind isn't meant to stagnate. So I'd like someone with interest in the world and how things work, willing to go outside the comfort zone. As living can be pretty shitty. Learning new things and experiencing new things is my way of finding enjoyment in life. Living can also be pretty good as well, trying to piss in headwind or learning to paint is enjoyable. That is pretty much the ideal in my mind.

As to the questions.

1. I got the audio bug, with the sound stopping. This only happened at the start of the vn. On at the scene change from Yama to Elisabeth in the classroom.
2. No doubt the character interactions. I liked the comedy and thinking parts of the choices and puzzles.
3. Overall I thought it was good, but specific.. Perhaps the
4. Shigure. All of the characters were good tbh.
5. I liked the art.
6. BGM is good, good different feels to it as well.
7. It's good. It feels like it should have some polish in the transition between scenes at times. It feels like the text has been rewritten so it doesn't feel quite as natural when the scene changes. During the what will you become talk to different professions day. When Yama goes in succession with his funny day dreaming it feels a bit weird.
8. Yup. Gimme moar; pretty much I am a fan now.

hmm. Well it's on the hard side. Mostly it's pretty easy dialogue stuff. But it has some rather hard to follow passages when they explain ideas or aruge. Protag can be rather hard to comprehend when he is mulling over stuff. Most of the time you spend thinking about what they just said, and why they said that. So might be a bit bothersome to struggle with the text and thinking about the ideas at the same time. But meh, I don't think it's that big of a issue. I'd give it a try if you want to.

Voices are awesomeeee. They make the dialoges a lot more lively. Changes in pinch and deepness of voices can make a lot of mood. Just like a good BGM.

BGMs can do the same though, so that's the main point you don't "have" to have them for me. Voices are great to have though.
