honestly speaking people only do get what they deserve, since a great many are apparently non willing to end that toxic "choosers-can´t-be-beggars" attitude of theirs. how often did i come across lots of them shitting on said title´s overall quality, how often did i read of them planning to give it a try nonetheless, how much more contradictionary has their behavior to become? as long as producing trash is going to be rewarded financially there wont be adequate changes. simple as that.

    Don't use a guide.
Even if you have to re-start again, that feeling of fearing if you screwed up somewhere before or the surprise to find out that what you thought was a correct choice at first wasn't really enhaces the gameplay experience.
PS: Use headphones while playing it!

When I started my Japanese classes back in my first year my teacher already automatically assumed this. (she wasn't wrong either)
What was interesting about that first year experience though was that at the start of the semester she sent us a non obligatory inquiry via e-mail asking us what we expect to learn from the class and what other things we'd like to know about outside of the language. As you could expect, most people wrote things like "Japanese culture" in the "other" field. The end result was that every once in a while my teacher would give a small presentation about particular things the Japanese do (eg: cherry blossom viewing, new years card exchanges, new years shrine visits, etc.) and imo these were rather interesting because they really showcased a lot of behaviors we normally don't get to see. However I must be in the minority, because most of the class didn't seem to enjoy these presentations and found them boring.
I guess this didn't fit with the class's idea of "Japanese culture". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tyr got a reaction from DJukor in How do i use Visual Novel Reader on PCSX2?
There is no difference between PCSX2 and PPSSPP regarding text hooking. It's essentially the same for PC games. You start the game, you search in your memory for the text strings and you pray to your deity that the game does not use some kind of custom character encoding.
VNR provides text hooks for some PSP games inherently. That's probably what you are using right now. The only supported game for PCSX2 is Fate/stay night though.
VNR hooks for emulated games are kinda hardcoded for specific games/engines. VNR not supporting a game does not necessarily mean that it's not hookable.

in some psp games you can grab the text (VNR does this for you) and some of them you can't, you need to try using cheat engine with this method to see if the text is "hookeable" (don't know if that's even a word xD) or not
    http://mx-futhark.github.io/hook-any-text/demos/demo01/presentation.html
you can also try using chiitrans with ithvnr in case vnr is too much of a pain to use

pretty sure bloody chronicles will feature english voice acting, and no, its contracted actors are by far no crappy schmucks devoid of talent. so yeah, every title that starts going for the opposite when still calling itself a supporter of the community is one too many, as already mentioned in the last paragraph of mine. same goes for exchanging english writers for asian ones. there is and wont be any substantial growth of the western genre when developers/studios who think they´ve made it decide on giving a piss. period.

Remember the time when "egdy" wasn't an insult used by third generation otakus to revile well thought out criticism of their favorite escapism outlets? Ah, good times.

there are quite some who openly talked about them wanting japanese va´s for their titles, partly as stretchgoals, or which are already in the making like shining song starnova for example, though i still believe these titles possibly consisting of (top) japanese seiyuus is a step in the most wrong direction. thing is an oelvn stays an oelvn, regardless of all the surrounding whatsnot, primarily aimed at western customers (and not the jp market instead), so why no sticking with good and competent english ones? & nah a setting being set in japan, or talks about it becoming more authentic that way doesnt justify jp-voiceover at all. such decisions make me cringe like hell, because they could have poured the xtra-money, gained from deciding on english voices, into further improving the title/reading experience as a whole. and even in case the costs were to stay the same, better support a growing home-market than (semi-)abandoning it alltogether upon coming across an opportunity to do so.

pretty much feels like mockery to me, like you know, when they, who are lucky enough of getting supported by major publishers, the ones that keep on publicly encouraging other creators about them try believing in their own strengths/doing their own thing/making evn´s great are at the same time going after the exact opposite, means choosing the most risk-free ways of developement/creation for themselves, be it a more subtile hiding of jp-tropes/memes (compared to the majority, or not), includition of jp-voices, jp-op´s, masquerading a title as if it´s of japanese origin, or what´s even worse partly deciding on exchanging their writers for japanese ones - basically saying a stealth-abandoning of the community which gave birth to them.

Nobody has mentioned yet the first Western release of a Japanese visual novel with an English Dub; Casual Romance Club? They even Americanized all names, so normies don't get a culture shock!
