  1. edits. That'll be about all from me, though I'm sure I could dig up more if I tried... Personally, I quite liked Prunus Girl.
  2. いぶり暮らし oops misspelled. Iburi Gurashi http://www.zenyon.jp/lib/top.php?id=6 ホリミヤ technically, the original series, Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, is long since finished. Horimiya is a remake. プラナス・ガール Prunus Girl おじょじょじょ Ojojojo グッドモーニングコール、グッドモーニングキス Good Morning Call and its sequel Good Morning Kiss 乙嫁語り Otoyome Gatari Not sure if romance: 親父の愛人と暮らす俺 Oyaji no Aijin to Kurasu Ore (I'm living with my dad's lover) Not quite fitting your points: ビターバージン Bitter Virgin にがくてあまい Nigakute Amai (Bitter and sweet) - Some gay expression warning 浅尾さんと倉田くん Asao-san to Kurata-Kun いつか、夜明けの空で待ってる。Itsuka, Yoake no Sora de Matteru (Someday, I'll wait for you in the Twilight Sky) あめのちはれ Sunny after the Rain 世界の果てで愛ましょう Sekai no Hate de Ai Mashou (Let us Love at the Edge of the World) Haven't actually read it yet but seems popular イェスタデイを歌って Yesterday wo Utatte (Singing of Yesterday)
  3. It's actually almost surprising how little pure romance I've read to date. All of the below are manga. 青春離婚 Seishun Rikon 赤髪の白雪姫 Akagami no Shirayukihime ホリミヤ Horimiya ラストゲーム Last Game Love so Life いぶし暮らし Ibushi Gurashi ふたりの恋愛書架 Futari no Renai Shoka プラナス・ガール Prunus Girl 18+ ナイーブ Naive うそつきパラドクス Usotsuki Paradox Surprised to see a Honeymoon Salad and Hajimari no Niina already under your belt.
  4. It's that day. And, of course, me being me, I couldn't be satisfied to just go pick up my game. Seriously. **** my wallet.
  5. Waga Jinsei ni Kui wa Nashi A man lives a long and happy life, and is finally laid to rest... only to find himself waking up back in time to when he was a high-school student. As he had no regrets in his life, he does his best to make things go the same way, but try as he might, he seems to fail at every turn... I don't remember where, but I'm pretty sure I got this idea from someone else. The "return to earlier point in life" genre is almost always about being able to fix some wrong in one's past. Well, why does such things always have to work in your favor? I figured it would be interesting to explore being forced to live over a life you were satisfied with.
  6. Hikoukigumo no Mukougawa - Aya "end" is technically the bad end to Miina route. Except for the fact that it doesn't have a proper ending, it acts like just another character route... kind of. Sengoku Rance - Ran bad (?) end. After seeing Rance being the jerkass he is, it's nice to have that one route where you can say **** you Rance! Otomimi Infinity - If you attempt to complete the main heroine route before you complete all other routes, you fail your mission and end up in the intimately loving care of your sister. Surely a fate worse than death? Doki Doki Majo Shinpan - Not sure if this counts... but if the MC fails any mission, he gets turned into the ultimate do-gooder, where he is literally incapable of doing anything bad for the rest of his life. And he'll be happy about it, too!
  7. Haruka ni Aogi, Uruwashi no - Tonoko. Otoboku2? - Kaori
  8. AQ, not AQW. IDK if the level cap for AQ ever changed, but during the times it was relevant to me, it was 135 for non-Guardian and 150 for Guardian.
  9. Played AQ up to level 63 or something, then quit. I'm surprised I managed to get that far on non-Guardian necro. Found Dragon Fable again, played till level 10 or something, then quit. Restarted playing AQ out of nostalgia or something. Being significantly older now, I figure out how the game works and pretty quickly max 2 characters. I bought Guardianship for one... and then quit almost immediately. Back in the day, AQ could only support around 7k non-Guardian players at a time, and were almost always full. You pretty much had to spam Refresh trying to get in unless you were Guardian (paid membership). These days, they don't have nearly as much players to support.
  10. The Deep End to True Companions One of the points I liked the most in Majikoi was when the group (almost) chased Chris and Yukie out of the group. Being the type of game it is, though, they of course couldn't actually chase Chris and Yukie out. Which makes me want to see a game from the standpoint of a transfer student who, over time, gets to know one such group of friends, and gets invited to join them for a while. The thing about the group would be that, while generally good people, they have somewhat skewed values from the average person. The protag feels this as he/she spends time with the group, but puts up with it for a while, until one last point where he's forced to recognize that there is something seriously wrong with the group, and points it out to them. They then, of course, would disown him from the group, much like the way it went in Majikoi, but all the way through. Less of a VN idea and more of a one-shot story, I guess.
  11. The times I've bought VN they've mostly been second hand. I have bought 11 VNs at a total cost of roughly 45000 yen. I plan on spending around 15000 more next week. F my wallet.
  12. Honestly? I'm more often aroused by characters kissing than seeing an H-scene in the average VN.
  13. Litania: I spend my nights shaking my butt (dancing) in front of drunkards, you know? Is something on your mind? Seeing as the first sentence and second have little to do with each other, I'm guessing it has something to do with the line previous. Caprese: Why is it you barmaids (? women working at bars? Woman in bars? Not sure what the correct equivalent here is.) are so unreserved/frank/blunt talking about these things? Litania: Are we? You might feel a little better just by talking about it, and besides, don't you know that acting despondent in front of others is like sending a sign that you want them to care?
  14. Hikoukigumo no Mukougawa has quite a few. Eiri I expected Iroha to have a few more of these since they're always kissing, it turns out Eiri had more (outside of sex scenes anyway).

    .

I'm actually having a harder time coming up with "young adult" MCs. Even with an older heroine, most MCs are high school age. Kimi ga Ita Kisetsu (untranslated)
  16. UQ Holder 97 Now, where have we seen that before :V
  17. Sounds like another thing I'll have to pick up next time I'm at a store.
  18. So, I decided not to go with Eien no Aselia and to play Semiramis no Tenbin instead. Not in the mood for a gameplay VN.
  19. お目当て in these cases, I believe, usually refers to a specific prostitute. Basically, "Do you have a prostitute in mind?" Either that, or seeing as the man follows it up with どこの店だ? he's asking Caprese which brothel he planned to 'relieve' himself at.
  20. *you have to complete all non-true routes to unlock the true route. I actually liked Chie route, for what it's worth.
  21. One Last Time Protag and a few friends (3~4?) wake up to find themselves in another world, where they must work together to survive and overcome hardships while searching for a way to return to their own world. With their teamwork, they easily surmount the various challenges presented against them, finally reaching their destination. However, they are told only one of them can return at a time. The rest will have to do it again from the start. You choose one of the characters to send back. Protag and a few friends (minus the one sent back last time) wake up in the same world, with no knowledge of the previous loop. Once again, they work through the same hardships, though a little more difficult this time, and reach their destination once again. There, they're met with the same decision: choose a character to send back. This keeps on going, with each loop becoming more difficult than the last as their numbers dwindle. In the end, with only two left, they barely make it to their destination. Both the protag and the remaining characters know that neither will be able to complete the quest on their next loop. The protag sends the last remaining friend home. The protagonist wakes up alone, with no knowledge of past loops. He must brave the hardships one last time, but this time, there is no one to help him along the way.
  22. I've been posting in the non-untranslated edition, lol. Of course, I just finished Evolimit. I should probably be moving in to Eien no Aselia next.
