  1. If anyone bought a copy at MG's site and doesn't want a Steam key for the game as compensation for the price difference, you can email their support team and be given $4.50 in MG points instead.
  2. This sentence, paired with your profile pic, is pretty amusing : P Probably not Evolimit, IMO. I doubt they'd give it to anyone besides Conjueror, and he hasn't mentioned any other secret projects besides Damekoi. I'd love it if they released another Rance game this year. I'd be down for Rance Quest (hopefully including Magnum), Sengoku or 01. Another Chuablesoft title, maybe? I know they went bankrupt, but I can't imagine that came out of nowhere for them. They most likely had plans in place.
  3. Well, I was gonna start Dies, buuuut W Happiness just got released, so I'm reading that first. Started on Rise After, and I'll definitely be saving Tamie's route for last as motivation.
  4. Dude, BBH is, like, at least 50% rape. That's an even worse suggestion than Rance. If you skip the rape scenes, then it's not really worth the price tag, because that's quite a bit of the total content.
  5. Yeah. I skimmed through the CGs, and there's some light guro in one scene as well. Nothing really bad, but it would probably upset people that want pure vanilla h. Here's a chart of the h-scenes in Evenicle, made by arunaru, the translator of Beat Blades Haruka, Rance 6 and Evenicle. Doesn't sound like something you'd enjoy, unfortunately. You'd probably want to stay away from Alicesoft in general, tbh. Their popular titles, at least the ones I've heard of, tend to have a decent amount of rape.
  6. I was going to recommend Rance 6 or Sengoku, but then I read your post-script I hear Evenicle is slightly less rape-y than Rance, but it still has some rape scenes in it, so I'm guessing that's a no-go. If you ever decide to stop caring about rape in VNs, I'd highly recommend Rance 6. It may be a giant grind fest, but man, was that game fun. It also has a pretty good story as well, and is really damn funny, as awful as that sounds. It's kinda hard to understand unless you read it.
  7. Doubt it. There aren't even any PC ports for the original JP releases, so the odds of that happening are pretty low. Not impossible, obviously, but I wouldn't bet on it. Just do what I did, which was give up entirely and buy a PS4 Pro
  8. Just finished the first Utawarerumono. That was certainly more interesting that I expected going in First of all, I just want to say that the slice-of-life was sublime. It never felt like the SoL scenes overstayed their welcome, they were written well enough to hold my interest, and they made me genuinely adore the characters. Some of the best SoL I've encountered so far, actually. It was a great way to relax after the plot and action-heavy sections. Also, any SoL scene featuring Aruruu is instantly a 10/10. Best girl right there I also want to commend Leaf for making a good guy protagonist with an actual personality. Hakuoro felt like a real person instead of a generic nice guy to self-insert into. I liked the combat quite a bit, even if it was pretty simple. I really enjoyed pulling off full combos, and watching my A-Team (Touka, Oboro, Karura, Hakuroro, and a certain character that I can't mention because of spoilers) nuke the shit out of every enemy was really satisfying. I'm sure that a lot of other people also had this problem, but when I first started the game, it ran at an incredibly fast speed, to the point where I could barely even see the combo circles, let alone react to them. The only way I could fix it was to run Cheat Engine and use speedhacks to force the game to play at a normal speed. If you encounter the same issue, I'd recommend doing the exact same thing I did. Oh, yeah, I really didn't like the elemental system that much, tbh. I'll never stop being irritated that the symbol for the water element is a lightning bolt, and that water is weak against fire. Why And finally, the story. It didn't really impress me at first. It seemed like a generic fantasy world with generic fantasy tropes, with random kemonomimi shoved in for moe appeal. Man, was I wrong. It's still kinda tropey, and it's possible to guess the main twist relatively early on if you've read enough fantasy, but it was still pretty enjoyable. It's carried by the characters early on before it grows into itself, though, so if you're impatient, you might get pretty bored until about halfway through. My favorite characters were Eruruu, Aruruu, Touka, and Genjimaru. Aruruu best girl by landslide, with Touka in a decent second place. Gonna read Dies now
  9. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It'd be kinda weird if people upvoted the tags without playing the game, but I guess that's entirely possible. I dunno. The "fully voiced" description is obviously wrong, though. It's actually not that weird, if you think about it. Alicesoft didn't license Rance to MG immediately, they gave them BBH to see how sales for Alicesoft HRPGs would be. Once they saw positive sales numbers, Alicesoft wanted to test how eager people were for Rance, without going all in. They're just really cautious, apparently. Quest already has a partial TL by bad end, so that might be next after Evenicle, but it's entirely possible that they'll go back and get the remakes. MG hasn't announced Sengoku yet, by the way. Did you confuse it with Rance 6?
  10. Rance 03 has the "protagonist with partial voice acting" tag, but since I've never played it, I can't really elaborate. Honestly, if you're looking at it from a purely fiscal perspective, it's a very smart move. Saves a ton of money, from what I've heard. VAs aren't exactly cheap.
  11. Some of my favorites: good shit go౦ԁ sHit thats ✔ some goodshit rightthere right✔there ✔✔if i do ƽaү so my self i say so thats what im talking about right there right there (chorus: ʳᶦᵍʰᵗ ᵗʰᵉʳᵉ) mMMMMᎷМ НO0ОଠOOOOOОଠଠOoooᵒᵒᵒᵒᵒᵒᵒᵒᵒ Good shit
  12. Please don't post spoilers in plain view. There's an eye icon to the left of the "Size" and "Font" bars, and that's used to hide spoilers.
  13. I don't think I want to live in a world where people think GHS's TLs are good.
  14. Have you read Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer yet? There's no school, everyone is an adult, and it's written by the same guy that wrote Saya no Uta, Gen Urobuchi. It's also quite dark, and has an interesting setting, IMO. Reminds me quite a bit of Blade Runner.
  15. I'd prefer that they went out of business
  16. As previously mentioned, piracy against the rules here at Fuwanovel. Please don't request or provide links to illegal downloads. If you're looking to buy a digital copy, DMM, Getchu, and DLsite (all links are NSFW) are good places to check first. Amazon.co.jp is a good place to look for physicals, but you'll have to use a reshipping service for any 18+ stuff.
  17. You try getting attacked by seagulls and see how amused you are afterwards >.< Angry birds are scary, especially when they're kinda big. Nah, I'm gonna buy one of these:
  18. I wish someone would come to my local mall and shoot/drive away all of the nesting seagulls. They're super aggressive and will try to dive bomb you if you go anywhere near their nests, which you conveniently can't see until you have a pissed-off seagull trying to attack you, and are near areas with decent amounts of foot traffic. I actually had to run away from two sets of nesting pairs in one day. Fuck seagulls.
  19. Might be Frontwing, since they seem to also have an infatuation with all-ages releases. Looks like I'm eating crow tonight
  20. Pretty sure it's 9-10 PM PDT. It they don't announce Harumade Kururu I'll be shocked. They apparently have Sasai Saji as a guest, so that makes it seem more likely, considering that they're one of the artists for HaruKuru. Plus, there's this.
  21. Thought it might be fake at first, but since 3/6 announcements are correct, it's pretty safe to say it's legit.
