Mugi
I found it a little odd how you unlock Amane's route, since I assumed Kotori's would be the true route. Though I guess they did do something like that in Hoshizora..
Nosebleed
There is no true route the way I see it. The plot of If My Heart Had Wings is centered around building a glider and finding the morning glory/riding through it and pretty much every route does that so in theory every route is a plausible conclusion to the plot. Amane's route isn't more special than the others, it's just that it presents more backstory to the plot, but in terms of conclusion there's really nothing that the other routes don't do already, they're all their own conclusion to the plot. starlessn1ght
Deep Blue
There isn't a true route like for example clannad with nagisa, all the routes are equally important because they told a different story.
Mugi
Oh okay, that actually makes me a bit more excited. I love when all of the routes are equally conclusive. Thanks
Eclipsed
There's no official official true route since yeah all routes are standalone, but FYI Kotori's the one that gets the most attention in the fandisc(s)
XReaper
kanako is the true heroine of the hearts. period.
starlessn1ght
Kotori is the main heroine, but I don't think there's a true route. But Amane's route is the best imo. Eclipsed
Kotori is the main heroine, but I don't think there's a true route. But Amane's route is the best imo. This is not related to the importance of her, but her popularity among Konosora japanese fandom. Fandiscs and side stories usually focus on the most popular heroines. XReaper
just a little bit, not worth mentioning
Nosebleed
The fandisc also has a Hotaru route and a Hotaru and Ageha route (similar to Asa and Yoru's route). There's also a continuation of Amane's route which is actually pretty interesting as well as a continuation for Kotori's route.

XReaper
start working on a cruiser, especially everything kitchenrelated. there´s a very high possibility of you learning japanese or other languages, cause you should have plenty of time in your 2-3man cabin every single night (snorring/fapping/sweating related and such stuff). though i looked like a fucking ghoul when returning to civilasation after 2,5 years, i was able to start working in japan itself shortly after. may have also been due to the factum that 90% of my former coworkers had eastern-asian heritage (i somehow felt like been stared at in a zoo) edit: AND DONT FORGET TO BRING LOTS OF PORN ALONG!!! xplodax
I only played through Kotori's route, but I really liked this visual novel. I'm definitely getting the PS3/Vita port whenever it comes out for the complete experience.

Tyrael
Kotori's route is the true route, but you will only realize that after playing Flight Diary (the fandisc) because her route is waaaaay longer than any of the others, allowing for better character development and an overall more touching story
Nosebleed
I can't consider Kotori's route the true one. Just because she gets more development in a fandisc it still doesn't mean the others aren't plausible conclusions to the plot. In some VNs there are some routes you can always consider the true one, because they really give something to the plot, they complete it while the others don't. A good example is G-Senjou no Maou where only Haru's route truly concludes the plot in a meaningful way. But in this VN all of the girls give just about the same amount of plot development. Kotori's route doesn't add anything more of value to the plot, it doesn't give you extra info or any sort of plot twist the others don't, it's just as valid as any of the routes. Also "an overall more touching story" is super subjective. I hated Kotori's route the most, it was incredibly boring and I ended up skipping the epilogue after the plot concluded just because I couldn't take anymore of it. Each of the girls' routes have their merits: Kotori's route - Kotori is finally able to fly and deal with the problems with her parents Amane - Able to fly and cope with the whole frined thing Ageha - Able to cope with her feelings for Aoi Asa - Able to be herself Asa and Yoru - Yoru becomes honest with herself But in none of these routes is the plot more intricate than in the others. So yeah, If My Heart Had Wings really doesn't have a defined true route. Each of the girls' routes is just centering around the girl while using the same plot elements. You can consider Kotori's route the true one if you want, I also often think one girl deserves to be the true one just because I like her best, but that doesn't make it fact.
