  1. I started playing Snow... and was done with it half an hour later. It has probably the most annoying Japanese voice acting I've ever heard in my life.
  2. If it was a college instead of a high school, things may have worked in his favor...
  3. One of my most favorite series of all time is Valkyria Chronicles. The first game is my favorite, as it's the only game that's gotten me close to the verge of tears. Then comes the third one - I'd have enjoyed it a hell of a lot more if it wasn't for the language barrier, and my constantly having to look up Kanji. The second game was okay... The story didn't compare to the other games, and the whole school setting was kinda ridiculous. Buy the PC version of VC1 if you haven't already. It runs at whatever resolution you want at 60fps, it runs on my toaster of a machine, it comes with all released DLC, and it's dirt cheap now too!
  4. Hahah!! You're talking about the skill board, right? Yeah, that's right. If I recall correctly, the number and placement of the stars determine the bonus skills a piece of equipment can offer. You'll know when you've got a bonus skill because the star will light up. Fusing weapons can add/improve the skills of an item too, but that's an entirely different beast,..
  5. Xillia's EN voice acting was pretty good overall, imho. Yeah, Milla's English voice wasn't too great, but I've played nearly all 'Tales of' games in Japanese, and Jude's JP voice has to be one of the most annoying I've ever come across. Teepo's JP voice was pretty bad too. Symphonia got dual-audio probably because Bamco wanted to add value to their product. They didn't dub Hearts R in English simply to cut costs...or so I've heard. As for Zestiria, I dropped it a while back. I didn't care too much about the "missing" character and the other weird issues it's got - it's just the entire game felt... off. The game isn't at all bad. It just didn't really feel like a 'Tales of' game to me. And yeah, it has a great soundtrack, but I didn't feel the OP fit the game =/
  6. Whoa, Parallel Pain! That's like... eagle vision, or something! Yeah, you've saved his poor eyes from bleeding. Too bad nothing can be done about his poor nose, though xD
  7. Hey Funyarinpa, don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but isn't Spike Chunsoft the creators of the ZE series? Aksys just publishes the games, right... But yeah, hope is good.
  8. Ah, yeah, I've played both Ciel nosurge and Ar nosurge. I had mixed impressions of Ciel nosurge, and I sort of lost interest in it because things got a little confusing (and weird). I played a lot of Ar nosurge (JP ver.) - I liked the game much more than I thought I would! Well, after At3, my expectations were kinda low. =/ I can say one thing that applies to all and every Ar tonelico and Surge Concerto game: their soundtracks are AMAZING! Edit: Crap... I didn't realize the last post was 6 months ago...
  9. Do you mean an online gaming addiction, or an internet addiction as a whole? Because people use the internet far more than they think they do, haha. The internet's pretty huge, so I don't really know if it's possible to say you're addicted to the internet. As for me, my advice would be to find new hobbies that you think you'll enjoy. Instead doing that one thing all day every day, you've suddenly got three, and you can devote your time equally (and maybe break out of your old habits in the process). This stuff's purely theoretical, by the way. I don't have any experiences with addiction, I don't think. Though if I had to give one example, I'd say I'm way into cookery, haha. I love to cook, learn about ingredients and combinations, getting people to criticize my food, yada yada. But it's not like I'm not addicted or anything, you know!
  10. 僕のことをそんなに思っていてくれるなんて。 To think he/she was putting that much thought into me. Now I have a question lol. How would one translate「怒涛の一日」into English? I know what this means in Japanese, and I know what it means in English. I was just wondering if there was a way to translate this into English without localizing the line.
  11. This was a great read! Thanks! One thing I don't understand, though, is "nukige". I've seen people use that word over and over on this site, and I still don't know what it is... I don't think I want to either...
  12. 「しなきゃいけない」is used when you're saying you must do something. It's like a double negative. 「しなきゃ」comes from 「しない」which means "don't do". 「いけない」roughly means "not good" in this sense. So, in all, it's like: "if you don't *insert verb*, it's bad". For example:「やばい!出る前にシャワーしなきゃいけない!」which means "Oh no! I have to take a shower before leaving!" Hope I made sense!
