Basically, sad happy endings (not those outright bad endings). Some examples: eden*, narcissu, はつゆきさくら, 沙耶の唄, ef - a fairy tale of the two, できない私が、くり返す, こなたよりかなたまで, etc. Thanks. Kira*Kira(Only one heroine's routes have this feel), Song of Saya(Dark themes, not for everyone but great VN), Kazoku Keikaku/Family Project(All about issues) Along with that pretty much every serious SoL romance game has at least one heroine with a bit more dramatic of a route, many end bittersweet.
