Your Favorite Animated Disney Movie?

I watched Frozen for the first time 2 hours ago and this came to mind.

Simple enough. Everyone has watched a Disney movie sometime in their life, and it usually sticks right in childhood. Name the ones you like most and why, put up a spoiler warning if needed. You can name multiple titles. Remember, DISNEY, not DREAMWORKS. It also has to be an animated feature film, no hybrid, no live action. Or if you don't like them or haven't watched any, please tell me why before I murder you in your sleep.

My all time favorite animated Movie is Wall-E.

For both personnal and quality reasons.

I just like this movie.

Ratatouille was also great.

As for short animated movies, I have Paperman in mind.

I haven't watch Frozen yet, but the English singer is incredibly bad in my opinion. Let it go is a nice song with a terrible singer.

Nowadays I think Disney has only ordinary movies and such, but Disney was a big part of my childhood, mainly this two pieces:

The Lion King: Raise your hand if you didn't cry when Mufasa died, and Simba lied with his corpse like he was just sleeping. See? No one raised a hand, and that's to be expected. Besides, who didn't have a good laugh with Timon and Pumbaa? The best duo in the Disney universe?

Tarzan: Not as much as The Lion King, but Tarzan was a very good piece. Mainly in the ending, when at his deathbed, Kerchak finally accepts Tarzan as his son, that was pretty emotional.

I don't think I needed to put these in spoiler tags, because I'm guessing everyone here saw those pieces.

Frozen is incredibly overrated

For me it was definitely WALL-E

That movie was so powerful as far as overall messages go and it just.. it was so different than usual disney and I was absolutely enchanted by it and I cried when I watched it in theaters.

It's mostly just a personal thing of course but I liked the fact that the main characters didn't even have that many lines yet the whole romantic plot disney movies always have was so beautiful in its own way and conveyed so much emotion (for me at least). It is by far my favorite romance in the disney world.

And of course the setting was incredibly powerful.

I swear after I watched that movie as a kid I literally freaked out over recycling.

(I kinda liked a lot of Disney movies, but if I had to choose a few then:

The Emperor's New Grove- Funny mostly & the MC did learn his lesson.

Ratatouille- I like cooking so this one just happened to go with my tastes.

Disney's A Christmas Carol- I usually don't like dark stories, but it did follow close to the book & I liked it.

That's pretty much it.)

Didn't have a TV while I was growing up. When I first got to see a disney movie, I was already around 15- Never liked any, though. I always had the impresion those movies are geared towards children, I can't really enjoy that.

My favorite animated film would be Mulan.

Struck me as a kid, awesome characters, intriguing story, beautiful soundtrack, and let's be honest, the main character is a badass.

The runner-ups I love equally are;

The Lion King: Hamlet in cartoon form. How interesting is that? Long live the king.

Toy Story 3: Man tears. Very touching and amazing visuals.

WALL-E: Why wouldn't it be on this list? It's WALL-E.

I haven't watch Frozen yet, but the English singer is incredibly bad in my opinion. Let it go is a nice song with a terrible singer.

Agreed. I was fine with the other singers though, particularly Anna's seiyuu. (hehe. I used seiyuu.)

Sadly when you had the chance to watch them you were no longer its target audience. Shame, would've made a nice childhood though. I'll spare your life.

Anyway, adults seem to enjoy some too in the sense that they 'bring out the inner child' in them, probably along with a lot of nostalgia factor.

There's a Disney thread and I didn't saw it???

My favourites are:

1) The aristocats: It's not their best, but I saw it a lot of time when I was a child, so it has a nostalgic value. Plus everybody wants to be a cat~

2) Beauty and the Beast: interesting heroine and hero, funny villain and good songs. Plus like the aristocats, the story is in France, so it makes me proud for no reason

3) The Incredibles:  My first movie in theater, I just loved the story, the action, the characters, plus it was really funny!

4) Hum.. I'll say Alice in wonderland (mixed with the story of through the looking glasses). At some points it was messy, but overall it was nice, with some nice songs (I love all in the golden afternoon), but not a masterpiece.

There's many others like the little mermaid, or wall-e, but I'll stop here.

Pick one? I can't do that >_>

Favorites would be:

*Bambi

*Cinderella (Didn't mark me as a child, but it's so much the canonical fairy tale, ever since I got interested in narration around fairy tales and meta-stories I've a special feeling about it)

*The Jungle Book

*The Aristocats

*The Fox and the Hound

*The Lion King

I have to admit I have yet to see Wall-E.

It has to be Toy Story 1, i mean that was hillarious. With Tim Allen and Tom Hanks. They made such a good dou

Woody "You, Are, A, Toyyyyy! You're not the real thing. You're an action figure. You are a child's play thing!"

Buzz "You are a sad, strange little man. You have my pity. Farewell."
Woody "Good riddance, you looney."
Woody "Wait a minute......I just let a rocket. Rockets explode!"
Buzz "I Don't believe that man has ever been to medical school."
Woody "Look buzz, were flying."
Buzz "Were not flying. Were falling, with style."
Buzz "I've set my laser from stun, to kill."
Woody "Oh Great, oh great. If anyone tries to attack us, we can blink em to death."

Some of my favorite quotes.
