The michiru one is by far the best, the shinku one is lame, and people are just following steve. It really isn't visually appealing at all and is actually difficult to look at.

Not sure if there are any solid explanations for それ and これ in regards to what you are looking for. Just stick with the basic idea that これ = this それ = that. 
 
In regards to your specific example, yes, それ is referring to 目の前に元気な桃花がいれば. 
 
The reason it uses それ instead of これ there is more or less the same reason we would use "that" instead of "this". It has a more distant feel than "this". It uses that in this case since it's like "that is an answer right?". これが答えだろう would say "this is an answer right?". I don't really know how to particularly answer your question since this is a very case based thing in my opinion and there aren't particularly any set rules besides the basic definitions of the words.

I feel people still mention Aaeru precisely for the reason that she never "officially" passed on the site. This is still seen as Aaeru's website by the peope who were around when she was here since she never relinquished her claim on it. @Steve You use the word "gift" in the strangest ways. Fuwanovel is a community. So you are saying the communtiy is a gift to the community? I can't say I completely follow you here. You say you can change this "gift", but you can't "take it away"? Well, taking away something is a method used to change something. If there was a rule that stated that everyone had to have a trap avatar, you would be the first to advocate changing this "gift" by removing it, would you not? 
 
Actually no, don't take it away because it was a gift given by Mephisto and there are people like Mephisto who don't want their gift to fade away. There is no other place I can force everyone to have trap avatars.  

I don't have a problem with people being lolicons, but I do have a problem with lolicons who take advantage of lolis due to being older/more mature. I think it's important to allow children to grow and mold themselves in to what they want to be, without being dragged in to a realm they aren't equipped mentally to handle simply because someone saw the opportunity to satisfy their own desires. 
 
In any case we know all the "loli" characters showcased in anime/VNs for the most part are all written extremely poorly and aim simply to satisfy a niche fetish. It's the very rare game that the character is young for a reason, and that her being young actually plays in to the story and why/how things play out. 
 
As for characters that only "look" like lolis, most of these characters are a pain in the ass to deal with. If they're older than they look, then they don't have to act like little kids all the time, and should have some backbone.

Regarding H-scenes being necessary in VNs, it really depends on how they are implemented. If they are implemented in a way that actively damages the story since they were obviously pushing boundaries in order to include H-scenes inside the game, then the game would've been better off without them. (Solid example would be "Sex under the necessity" which is like mandatory sex in order to restore magical energy or something. Showcased in Fate stay night, also in sora wo aogite.) 
 
That doesn't mean that all H-scenes are bad. There are games in which the h-scenes actually fit in to the story and aren't retarded, for example the singular H-scene in Aiyoku no Eustia. (That doesn't mean the writing for it wasn't fucking terrible and I ended up skipping through it anyway.) However that h-scene actually fit (and it's the only one you get in about 50k+ lines of text soo) in to the story.
 
Another example would be the Rance series in which the protagonists drive to do stuff is literally to have sex with women. The h-scenes are usually pretty short (well not in Rance 9... but lol), but obviously the game wouldn't be complete at all without them. 

The main character is saying that the girl's cold (has seen some things) eyes which contrast with her young appearance is attractive.
