I liked the character art a lot in the novel. They were so detailed, and artistic, I thought they were beautifully rendered. Of course Okabe looked a little weird with his larger forehead and smaller jaw, but I didn't have to look at him much. I'm torn deciding between playing my Visual Novels and Learning Japanese right now. Obviously learning is more important, but I still haven't finish most of the VNs on my computer. There's still so many more I want to read. I'm going back to work soon and I won't have much time for both. I barely just finished learning all the basic grammers, counting and Hiragana. Planescape Torment: One of the best stories people have never heard of. In that universe thoughts are so powerful they shape the planes themselves. People come and dissappear on a whim. Entire worlds are created from the darkess depths of emotions. Doorways to these worlds lead back to where one city can open them all if the correct thought, words, or item associated with those thoughts are held in the right place and time. Sigil is similar to that city you speak of. I suggest playing that game if you haven't to get some good ideas.
