**Hopefully no incomplete thoughts below, I jumped around a lot while typing this, being distracted and moved away from the computer twice, and spent like an hour thinking and finding scenes and such. **

I haven't made an overly long post about Rin yet. I planned on adding a section on my MAL page describing my fondness of Rin, just haven't gotten around to it, so I'll just settle with this for now.

Spoiler tabs to hide pictures, everything is anime related, so if anyone hasn't seen it, don't look in spoiler tabs
I didn't feel like digging through all the episodes of both seasons, so I just stuck to episode 4 of season 1 and episode 5 of season 2, which pertain to Rin the most. I did pull one picture from episode 3 when Honoka, Umi, and Kotori were performing Start:Dash.

I was being a bit biased with my statement, but here we go. As Nosebleed said, Honoka is your typical genki girl meant to lead the group through pure charisma. Rin on the other hand has the genki side (the feature most people see), but she's a lot more reserved than Honoka and leans more towards Hanayo's shy side. There's plenty of example of this.

Episode 4 S1 when Hanayo asked if Rin would join her in being an idol

Pretty much all of episode 5 of Season 2 was Rin's reserved side

So there puts Rin past just being your stock genki character.

Rin's next prominent trait is her tomboyish side. While she looks the part and acts the part with her sports, dress, etc, as Maki said in S2, Rin's actually one of the girlier members of u's.

While I am a huge fan of tomboys in general, I love that Rin keeps a girly side to her.

And then the end of episode 5 of season 2

So, she doesn't follow the stock tomboyish character trait either.

Away from her personality itself, Rin's also the only character with something actually beyond just a "present time" issue. I'm a person who shows sympathy fast and easily, especially with characters I like. Rin has that whole "I'm too boyish to be cute" thing to her. The fact that she has something bothering her for a while puts her apart from the rest of the group as well.

and then everything that goes on in Episode 5 Season 2

Personal preference, I find being unsure of yourself very endearing. That, along with this next part alone are reasons Rin's my favorite Love Live character, but everything else contributes to being my favorite character of all time.

So, last, while this isn't a whole "being different than Honoka or anyone else", it's a trait worth mentioning that gets overlooked because it doesn't come up often. Rin's a very loyal friend, and goes out of her way to help her best friend of all time, Hanayo.

A random thing without evidence, I just always got a cutesy sort of feeling from Rin, while I wouldn't really use the word cutesy to describe Honoka. nya~

(why doesn't this video embed like the others?)

So yeah, thinking about one subject for too long makes my brain go "bleh" and my critical thinking process just dies, so here's the end of the post. I also have a few personal preferences to help Rin be one of my favorites. I like orange hair and smaller chest sizes, just how it is

I took an image that recorded all the releases of the cards in the JP SIF and converted the dates to tentative EN releases. This only works for a general date (anywhere around middle of the month really) and if they keep the same release schedule. If they do though, the cards won't match up with the season.

I posted that and just realized the text doesn't line up. I'll fix it in about an hour, about to be really busy on a game I play.

Haven't tried an Expert song on the EN version in a while, busy getting 40 clears on Snow Halation and Baby Maybe Koi no Button since they are the only <15LP Hards I don't have A clears on.
Congrats~! Now you just have to FC it
Who says it's easy!? That song is definitely the one I get the most combo breaks on.
My phone just lags in general which makes notes literally teleport and make me miss. Then I'll get battery low or alarm notifications that block my screen and don't lt me hit notes. Lastly, whenever I get an email my sound dims heavily (I have it set so I auto-subscribe to all threads I post in and get a notification whenever there's a reply, so many emails)

The problem with this second season is probably going to be that they're not adapting 4 volumes like the first season but 3 (Phantom Bullet + Mother's Rosario) which will mean they're going to needlessly stretch stuff across a 24 episode span.

Episode 2 is living proof that they're needlessly stretching stuff. There was no need for an entire episode about how Sinon took down a couple guys and then tease us at the end with some plot and finish it off in a cliffhanger. They could have easily introduced her and killed off those guys in 15 mins or less and then proceeded to giving us some story, but they didn't.

If you want people to get into a series you need to captivate them with something. I don't think it's okay to give people several episodes of nothing and then give them plot and interesting stuff. Fillers are okay if they're placed properly within the series, but if you put a filler right at the beginning how am i supposed to be interested? It's an underwhelming feeling that I can't shake off.

When I say i'm bored it's because the series didn't captivate me, I don't think it's a problem with me, the series is not giving me anything so how am i supposed to feel. I want to like SAO but SAO is not giving me something to like.
I didn't hate the first season of SAO, I don't think it's the masterpiece a lot of people make it out to be, but despite its clichés and bad MCs the series was still flashy and did have some elements to grasp you from the beginning.
Season 2 failed to do this so far.

Now okay they're just 2 episodes, for some people this is excusable, sure I can accept that and I wholeheartedly believe it'll get some better scenes later on, but that doesn't mean i have to feel excited for random filler early on.

Well, there's a few reasons I stay up in the rankings. 1, which is the most importantly, is sacrificing sleep for the sake of this event. I started the event with 52 LP at my disposal, so if I go to sleep with 0LP, I'll have a little over 5 hours before my alarm goes off and wakes me up to play.

Also, with over 50 LP, a love gem recharge let's you play the daily song twice, which is 27 x 2 in event points, letting your get 1 play of Love Novels. At the beginning I used a few love gems but waited several minutes to recharge 2 LP to play Bokura no Live, Kimi to no Life on easy (4 LP) just for the extra points. Now, I just use a Love Gem if I feel like it. Last time I used one, I was 2 daily song plays and 1 event song play away from ranking up, as well as 4 daily song plays away from the next tier reward. So I spent the love gem specifically to get that 30 play award.

Also, on average, I get an S-B on Love Novels since I always break on sliders in the middle, so I average 220 event points a play, so nothing amazing like people who can multiple-fc Soldier Game

So yeah, you aren't taking the perspective as correctly as you could. You ask how I'm high up in the rankings, but it's safe to say people around my rank are either playing the same as me, or slightly more casual with more love gems spent.

So, I saw a post on reddit that made me want to do this with my own profile on SIF

They used squares for the name, but the app I installed didn't have that, and didn't want to bother downloading a different one so I used stars instead.

I always assumed the guaranteed UR has the same ratio as the normal scout, 95% SR with 5% UR. That was purely assumption though
That poster is telling you what the newest cards that were released. They did have a guaranteed SR with those, but it stopped being active as of the beginning of this Nico event. The time between the events is when the guaranteed SR "event" goes on.

I literally couldn't hit a note for 10 seconds. Not because I couldn't see them, but because my phone's touch system just gave out and I just watched as my 31 stamina went away. I quickly hit the home button (which didn't work) and it went to home a little late... I came back to the game being paused (which is what happens when you home the game during a song) and I had 1 stamina left with a note already passed the hittable mark, just to troll me.

    I'm so aggravated right now.

@Clublion: Snow Halation is a little more difficult but helps with rhythm, Yujo No-Change should be easy, and Aishiteru Banzai is good with practicing timing without being too hard.

I thought it was good, really good, except for the last couple episodes. The deaths started to get so rediculous I couldn't help but laugh. Besides that, the plot progression and atmosphere were amazing.

Was this Da Capo or Al Fine? Welp...

I don't think feels are the absolute high point of SR. The best part of SR is (1) the twist if you don't see it /which I didn't/ and (2) the depth of its characters and character motivations. The complicated feelings, uncertainty, humanity of it all coupled with interesting characters all over (arguably Lise is the weak point here.)

You can also say a lot about the craft - art style, the insert songs and their lyrics, the pretty good rhythm game...

And I still rate it under Rewrite and stuff because it really drags in the middle... I need to reread SR *puts in on the back of list*

this totally turned into a different post than I was going for

I'm taking this as "likeable" as opposed to "loveable". I'm a VN noob but as said above, what some people find "likeable" isn't going to match your tastes nor standards.

Out of the few VNs I've read, I found all 5 Rewrite, all but 1 heroine of Little Busters, and 7 of the 8 female characters in Flyable Heart likeable, my opinion being based of personalities. And I'm sure there's people who dislike several of the characters from the VNs I mentioned, but that's how it works.

Glad to see someone post this more obscure anime. That whole 2nd half I would put up there as some of the saddest things I've seen in anime.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Anohana.
