Spoil me? I'm a little curious, but I don't really want to read more Grisaia.

The scene in question pretty much counts as a horror scene.

    Spoiler

Remember Amane's flashback in the original game? Angelic Howl? Rakuen has 'part 2' of that scene (events after Amane fled the place). It's about as pleasant as you'd expect. So much death, so much people going insane....

  2. A few notes on the some of the ones posted...

    * IMMHW. Has pretty good loli action. Game has polar opposite loli twins in fact. You even get a threesome scene with both of them. Game also has scenes with a woman in her twenties.

    * Grisaia series. 2 of the heroines are quite openly leecherous (compared to usual heroines). And you get a vulgar, smutty mouthed loli too. And they all talk about sex rather often. And this series in general doesn't shy away from inuendos.

    Spoiler

Grisaia also has incest with an older sister (said sister has a yuri scene too xD), and a wierd threesome scene, where two souls inhabit one girl.

    * Wagamana High Spec. Only game I've played (so far), where the heroine will continue to moan inbetween voice dialogue. H scenes are generally longer and more numerous then average too. Game has an imotu route too. Also, most scenes give you a choice on where you will 'climax'.

  3. 14 hours into New Year for me.

2017 was mostly like every other year for the past decade. Nothing really significant happened. Heck, I got smacked with the depression stick more then usual (for no real reason mind). The temptation to give in was certainly there.

However, mentally I've grown. And emotionally, I've thawed out. Getting into visual novels, and reading books like the Conversation with God trilogy, have helped a lot.

If nothing else, I've sown some mental seeds.

Thus I continue my wait for the "tipping point" to be reached, for the "floodgates" of change to open. For myself. For humanity as a whole. Whether that will happen, or begin to happen in 2018 remains to be seen.

  4. Which sequel are you talking about?

Meikyuu doesn't focus on the girls at all really (except in the separate after stories).

In Rakuen, everything in the routes seems canon. And at least several girls seems to know of the 2 Michiru's.

    Spoiler

Mihama Academy is still intact, so it wasn't demolished like it was in Sachi's route.

  5. Playing unrated version of Grisaia no Rakuen.......

    Spoiler

The 2nd part of the 'Angelic Howl' episode is even more brutal then the first part in the original game. Apparently, medical horror is a major weakness of mine....

I can't even finish that scene tonight. I'm probably gonna have nightmares.... :gasp:

  6. I'll be that guy, and recommend Grisaia no Kajitsu. https://vndb.org/v5154

    * Characters are endearing, and have great chemistry (I find them hilarious at times).

    * The Protag is a badass (though the amount of action he sees depends on the route). He's not strong in a supernatural sense though.

    * Game starts out as a comedy slice of life. But gets pretty serious when you dive into the dark and troubled pasts each girl has (which the game describes in great detail).

  7. The House in Fata Morgana wasn't in the original thread. And WTF, CLANNAD isn't in the original thread!? CLANNAD is king when it comes to emotional feels...

Guess I'll toss Lucy- The Eternity she Wished For, in that list too.

I'm a little biased, but I'll personally recommend If My Heart Had Wings (light hearted rom com about second chances, and flying a glider). And Wagamana High Spec (Eroge and manga references, moe characters and cutesy music, and a LOT of H content).

"Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit, and yesterday a deer, and today, you."

What endings have you gotten so far?

Ryou (the bad end, got it blindly), Kyou, Yukine, Fuko (one of my favorite characters), Misae, Kappei, and Kotomi. In that order.

  9. Grisaia no Kajitsu https://vndb.org/v5154 comes to mind. Only it's less 'cutesy', and more random LOL comedy skits. Only it's less 'horror', and more the heroines having some extremely dark and troubled pasts. Some of the themes covered are borderline horror though....

    No Yandere's......

    Spoiler

Though in one of the flashbacks, one of the heroines utterly snaps....

  10. Michiru from Grisaia no Kajitsu for me. Based on looks alone, she was the character I wanted to romance before I even started playing the game. In game, she's an hilarious unlucky airhead, has an adorable voice (especially her laughs), cares about other's wellbeing. Yeah, I probably can't count all the reasons I love her.

  11. My first day of Highschool...

    * Half the bullies who had been tormenting me on the school bustrips before were going to this school, and were already sizing me up.

    * Half the students in my classes were just horsing around, being disruptive in class.

I was like "nope!". Never went to highschool ever again. Fortunately, my parents didn't mind. I'd already had nothing but problems over my entire schooling life one way or another anyways.

I got my education via other means in the end.

Basically the education system has been almost nothing but heartache for me, and I've had absolutely nothing to show for it either. Still, I did have some good memories here or there....

    Finished Planetarian.

Thoughts at the beginning: "Well, it's nice, but I've seen all these ideas implemented better."

Thoughts at the end: "Why, Key? Why?"

I was already seriously considering Planetarian in the sale.

  13. Steam Sale is up. And other stores like DenpaSoft and MangaGamer are on sale too. Time to amass a backlog for 2018. :sachi:

Feel free to say whatever you want on what I've posted. Feel free to suggest some VN's too.

    Games I'm definitely getting:

    Steins;Gate

Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru Part 1 and 2 (a spinoff series starring my favorite VN girl ever? EZ choice) :michiru:

D.S. -Dal Segno (don't mind me some rom com eroge action)

Games I'm considering (or need selling on):

    Symphonic Rain

Himawari (apparently a cute and happy game that gets real serious, real quickly)

Narcissu (obviously I play this when I'm NOT depressed)

The House in Fata Morgana (not sure what this game is like, but it gets recommended a lot)

Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-Hole (apparently, this gets really disturbing, I'm not even sure if my body is ready)

Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- (this seems interesting, should I get it?)

    Higurashi When they Cry series

Umineko When they Cry series (this gets recommended a lot around here)

Princess Evangile (another rom com eroge)

Games I definitely want (but they havn't been released, or +18 version/patch hasn't been released):

Grisaia no Rakuen (due for imminent release apparently)

    G-Senjou no Maou

MUV-LUV & MUV-LUV Alternate (we already have complete MUV-LUV at least)

A Sky Full of Stars (I expect to wait years for this, a shame cause I loved IMHHW)

Newton and the Apple Tree (this game seems funny)

    VN's I've already read:

Grisaia no Kajitsu and Grisaia No Meiyuu

    IMHHW

    Katawa Shoujo

    Wagamana High Spec

    Nekopara Vol1

    Backlog:

    Doki Doki Literature Club

Lucy - The Eternity she wished for

    Nekopara Vol2

To the Moon (technically not a VN, but still a story driven game that is a serious tear jerker apparently)

    Currently reading:

    CLANNAD

  14. Kotori's finale was pretty damn epic imo. You should at least finish that. Amane's route wasn't bad either. And, I'm not afraid to admit it, but I liked the H scenes involving the twins :makina:

As for your poll, the only game I can comment on there is Wagamana High Spec. It generally has:

    * Colorful artwork, and cute music (Mihiro's theme gets me everytime, though Tao's theme is amusing too).

    * Plot is basically a parody of manga and eroge, and a few other references. And is pretty light hearted.

    * A TON of H content (in the unrated version). It's pretty high quality too. Though you might get burned out on all the H content too...

  15. Finished Nekopara vol1.

    Spoiler

That last H scene was overkill. So much white....

Wasn't expecting some potential tear jerker moments in this game, but...

    Spoiler

Chocola's "don't leave me!" scene early on. And that scene where the two catgirls ran out to find a clinic, only to almost get arrested, only for the MC to arrive in the nick of time. Those scenes smacked me in the feels a bit.

.... guess I'm just a sentimental type afterall xD

  16. I havn't played many visual novels ....... but some characters in the Grisaia trilogy can be unbelievable jerkholes (especially some of them related to the backstories of the heroines and the protag).

    Spoiler

Yuuji had a super violent, drunk of a father. Only to get taken in by an evil international terrorist who's a bit of a pedophile.

Absolutely EVERYONE in Yumiko's backstory, especially her dominating corporate tyrant of a father (though he's pretty much the only person who later has a "heel realization" moment, and mellows out).

Michiru had strict apathetic parents. Who hired tutors for her, who proceeded to make her feel like utter trash at every opportunity (I legit wanted to actually punch them!).

Makina has pretty much the worst mother ever. She makes Yumiko's father look very tame...

Amane had a crazed gunman come after her, out for revenge, as a result of her backstory.

Sachi is the only one that didn't have any bad or evil people in her route. Not that what happened to her was any less tragic....
