I am appreciative and grateful how much attention got the mod/patch... The patch itself is an selfish project. I just wanted to remove the mosaic in the game because i gathered so much frustration from past localized releases which are with mosaics and said to myself "enough is enough". Wanted to see how hard is to make an uncensored game. Better to release all that frustration in trying to make a difference then complaining on forums/reddit and so on

Its not such a big task but it does affect the release of new hscenes. But after hibiki comes bandaid removal and then a new heroine

Bandaid is just a different kind of mosaic. Just add badaid removal to your current patch. It's not like anybody will go "remove the mosaic, but keep the bandaid". We should be careful not to set a standard of bloating the number of patches. It does however make sense to keep the demosaic and restoration patches as two patches, partly because the goals differs (genital visuals vs bugfix), partly practical reasons because they are made by different people. It's much easier to release an updated patch if you don't have to coordinate with anybody else.
And yes it would be nice to remove the bandaid. Granted it's not as lewd as whatever gets the demosaic treatment, but it's still an eyesore. We all know that's not how people take baths and it's added purely to annoy us. Considering the angle, the view without a bandaid will most likely end up being more cute than lewd, which is fine.

It's a hilarious discussion from a point of non-american ESL human being that lives in a country, which for 70 years stayed behind the Iron Wall. Guys, you really don't understand that censorship and especially self-censorship is evil. When people agree to it, for commercial or moral reason, they always choose the easy way. Visual Novels from the very first one were created for adults and still are aiming to adult buyers in Japan. So when localization companies bring these games to the West, cut the sex scenes or tone down the violence, they CHANGE target audience. And also, there is no such thing as all-age visual novels. Even Tokyo Babel or you actually believe a child can understand all that religious stuff? I am okay with DI official translation because it's the only way I can read this game, but don't justify its censhorship just because it's kamige.

Why the fan translators chose the non-adult version of Aselia the Eternal has absolutely no bearing on the JAST release.  JAST could've released whichever version they wanted, or both.

It's worth mentioning that Winged Cloud has made a name for itself churning out mediocre low-priced VNs for the Steam audience.

Think Doddlers' tweets covered it best. The Steam VN market is in a shaky situation due to oversaturation, episodic content, hard-to-ascertain quality, and unfamiliar titles. A consumer is bound to be wary due to many factors.

Here's my thoughts based on the store page:
It's not immediately clear what the selling point is. What's the story hook? For Nekopara, it was a catgirl cafe. The all-important short description under the logo reads like nonsense. The intro video tells us nothing about the characters and setting, and the character descriptions are in tiny font and the text is cut off at the bottom of the video! My resulting first impression is: the premise is a directionless mashup of tropes. Back button. Kinetic novel: This is NOT something you want to emphasize. Western gamers, especially casuals, want interactivity in their stories (think School Days). Games without choices are the opposite of that. VNs don't market themselves unless you're really lucky and manage to make a meme game, or you have a lot of followers already who will help spread the word. Frontwing potentially alienated the core fanbase by charging double the price to add a few H-scenes in the extras menu. They're not going to spread the word for you when you do that. For an episodic game--especially a text game--people will tend to wait until all episodes are released to try it, especially if there's a concern that the game won't actually be finished. Since I don't know if Sekai is bringing over the full products or not I just cannot be excited for what they have announced. I have no issues with supporting them, but I don't buy censored games.

The reason I know this is I asked the question to which I was scoffed at and basically told to enjoy the game for the world and story and if it done well enough on Steam they'd think about it. Now I understand that content is controversial, but they knew what was in that before they decided to pick it up for publishing. Furthermore if they are willing to take that stand with that title, they would surely do the same with others down the line.

I scoured the video for mention of Maitetsu and Baldr Sky and I vaguely remember that bit as well.  It simply confirmed my existing view of Sekai Project so I didn't think much of it at the time.
