  1. I will third the Trails in the Sky trilogy, it's that good and can be run on just about anything (I wonder if anyone could get it to work on a VIC-20).

Would also recommend Baldur's Gate (still need to get around to playing 2), but with at the very least these mods to make the recruitable characters more interesting:

    https://github.com/Gibberlings3/BG1NPC/releases

    https://github.com/AstroBryGuy/bg1ub/releases

plus this is the only extra NPC mod I'd recommend for it:

    https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/42721/npc-mod-sirene-npc-for-bg-ee-v1-1/p1

  2. Been playing some of Trample on Schatten! and I can say it's been entertaining so far, especially the over the top action and dialogue. Also been playing Kamidori and currently at chapter 2 where I've met the foxes and the angel who I now dub FemZamasu ^_^

  3. On the english end I've beaten the story for the summer event, and currently just grinding for ascension material, also rolled Summer Marie and Martha, and as a bonus got spooked by Jeanne. Unfortunately I'm now out of quartz, and I'm debating whether or not to buy some (which I haven't done for months) to try for Archuria

  4. The announcements look okay, my thoughts with each:

    1) The Expression Amrilato

It at least looks good and the concept is interesting, though the fact that it's all ages and the alternate world doesn't look that different from ours means it won't be high on my to play list.

    2) Fxxx Me Royally!

Looks and sounds funny, definitely looking forward to this.

    3) Byakko

The rocket designing part has me interested and I'll give this a look eventually, though I can't help but wonder is there any eroge where the protagonist joins a club and it isn't in danger of closing? <_<

    4) Beat Angel Escaslayer R

Looks good enough and I did like Beat Blades Haruka, so if it's anything like that it'll at least be entertaining

  5. Been playing the summer event, gotten Lancers Kiyohime and Tamamo in the draws hoping I get Archer Arturia. Really been enjoying the story, though I did not expect part 2 to remind me of Red Dwarf ...which I guess makes Marie Lister :wahaha:

  6. While there are some live action porn I like, I prefer 2D because it generally looks better be it from an aesthetic perspective (aka don't have to worry about one of the actors having a genital wart) or action perspective as the sex can be better shown in terms of good angles, be better paced (some JAV I've seen are surprisingly slow) and above all more things can be done in 2D than live action.

  7. The new partner could be Lune considering the interest they showed at people wanting "Tsukebe Elf" and MG's vanilla elf hint, though the latter could have been a hint at KF2 which has been announced. If so I'd be fine with that since they have a nice library and since they now own the Kansen series there's now a chance at seeing the series in english.

As for the other announcements, I can't really make a guess on the otome front and the Moonstone guesses people are making based on the "sakura" hint are sound enough, though another possibility could be Da Capo 3 With You or Platinum Partner (or maybe DC2 Dearest Marriage though I consider that unlikely).

The last one is probably going to be nukige (even if I really wish it were a Koihime game). My guess/hope would be for either one of ClockUp's lighter ones like Ero Manga! or Ero Goods! or one of Waffle's like the Maki-chan/Now series

  8. Still making my way through Rea's route in Dies Irae and I am liking the direction it's going in for Rea and how it seems to be going in a different direction with Trifa and Lisa than the other routes. Though if I had a complaint...

    Spoiler

wow, that was a really pathetic ending for Kei. I was kind of hoping that since this was the true route she might some kind of character development outside of her route in this one, but instead she just gets killed off before she can even do anything storywise. Really makes the F/SN Rin comparison people make with Kei seem like an insult to Rin since unlike Kei, Rin not only had character development but also a more active role in the story outside of just in her route

  9. I've so far checked out five of the summer premieres:

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord:

Overall it's good enough so far (only watched the first episode). It's nothing outstanding, but the jokes are funny enough and the fanservice is good enough...though I can't help but feel I'd be enjoying this more if this were an eroge since then it wouldn't have to hold back on the harem and H stuff at all.

    Angels of Death

Only watched the first episode. This one's just okay; the mystery around the girl and the place she's trapped in has me curious, but other than that I'm not all that impressed so far. The twist with the doctor was obvious from the get go and admittedly the guy with the scythe looks more silly than scary.

    Harukana Receive

It looks nice, but admittedly the sports aspect isn't really appealing to me that much. The moment the anime started hinting one of the girls used to play volleyball but doesn't anymore the first thing that popped into my head was "Okay, who died?" and sure enough at the end of the episode... Also I get the main appeal for this anime, in fact it reminds me of this little sum up of the main reason people watched Baywatch:

    Cells at Work

Watched episode 1 and 2. This may be the best of the bunch as I'm liking the wackiness of this show be it the character antics, how something mundane like a cut is portrayed as affecting the characters, or how the villains of episode 2 get beaten.

    Angolmois

Watched the first episode and I liked what I saw. The premise and main cast is interesting, the animation's nice, and I really like the opening (gives me an old samurai film feel, though considering that and the historical event this is centered around I'll be surprised if any characters survive at the end of this).

  10. Got ending A for Nier Automata, pretty much an okay ending though my only real complaint is Adam and Eve, they just weren't around enough for me to get all that invested in them as villains. Maybe the other endings will do that better. Still, before that I've started on the Persona 5 crossover event in Granblue Fantasy and enjoying it so far. The crossover character interactions are nice though a certain scene at the end of the first chapter kind of has me wishing the Persona 4 cast was here too.

  11. Decided to take a little break from Super Robot Wars V and play Nier Automata and I've gotten as far as killing Adam. So far I like the game well enough, the design for the characters and world is surprisingly good, the music's excellent and 2B and 9S are good enough as main characters, even if it is a little weird how they seem to swap views regarding the machine creatures' sentience. Still I'm pretty sure I've read and watched enough science fiction to guess the plot twist that's going to be revealed probably near the end:

    My guess:

    Spoiler

Humanity is extinct and the whole thing with the human council is either a program left behind on the moon to keep the androids fighting or it's something cooked up by the higher up androids so they can follow through with their mission to destroy the machines to the end.

  12. Okay, I finally got around to finishing Ritsuko's route in Princess Evangile and...wow. It has been a long time since I've played a route where I really liked the heroine, her relationship with the protagonist and arc, only for it to be brought down hard by an incredibly dumb final act. Even when the whole conflict was over, I was basically like this to the end credits (even including the final ero scene)

  13. Been playing Super Robot Wars V and been having a blast playing it. Just seeing so many mecha anime coming together in an "everything and the kitchen sink" kind of way just reminds me of the good and fun aspects of back when I read and wrote multicrossover fanfics. Gameplay wise I think the funniest thing is how the FMP mechs have an absurd natural dodge rate against nearly everything I've encountered in the game so far, and thanks to that these guys, whose weaponry consist of machine guns, missile launchers and giant army knives are easily taking out Gundam level mechs along with star cruisers :wahaha:

  14. Episode 8 of FMP: Invisible Victory was good enough, the action was pretty good and it does look like the plot's going to move forward. Still

    Spoiler

kinda feels like they really wasted some interesting potential by just killing off Nami like that, especially since that makes that bit of foreshadowing they did in the previous episode as to whether or not she was a Whispered or just a really talented mechanic pointless

Episode 10 of Hinamatsuri was fine, but something about the first half just felt like a little too much was packed in there on Hitomi's end. Anzu's half was better, especially in pacing, even if it was a bit predictable.

I recorded some early parts of the new Miazora and would like to hear some opinions on it, especially from those who have read the Moegarbage version. The quality of the recording is kinda shit because my PC doesn't like recording software (random frame drops at animated scenes and poor choice for a bitrate) but it should be good enough to showcase the proof of concept. Here you can see some first 1.5~2 hours of the patched Miazora. Link:

I'd appreciate any kind of feedback.

Also, we are still looking for an additional TLer for the H-scenes. If there's anyone who'd be interested, I'd like to ask him to PM me ^_^ ...

Yeah, this looks really good and definitely has me looking forward to playing the finished product. Best of luck to you

  16. Decided to take a look at Megalo Box as that's been receiving its share of praise, watched up to episode 7...and I really like this one too. It's a good futuristic underdog boxing story with a good cast of characters (I especially liked Nanbu's development) and the design for the anime is really nice. It looks and feels like an anime from the late 90s, so much so I hope it does end up on Toonami in a year or two. I guess if I had any complaints it's how episode 7 ends...

    Spoiler

I get it's supposed to an "all is lost" moment, but I think they may have done it a little too well. Basically I have no idea how they're going to get Joe back into the tournament without it feeling like an ass pull.

Edit: One more bit of praise: They sure picked a badass sounding main OST:

  17. Watched the latest episode of Golden Kamuy, one of the highlights was drunk Asirpa :D

Also decided to try out Ge ge ge no Kitaro and watched up to episode 5. Liking it so far, it kinda reminds me of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon with its more kid friendly monster horror, plus I do like the friendship Kitaro and Neko Musume/Cat Chick make with Mana. Plus it also helps that the opening and ending are surprisingly catchy

Also did not even know this series existed. I may check out what I can of the older series later.

Plus on a side note, does anyone else think the rat youkai kind of looks like a Dr Seuss character?

Is it weird that it bothers me how a female character has a silly reaction (like Kaos saying "thank you god" when another of the girls pushes her against her breasts) or her enjoyment of being scolded by a sexy mature woman, and there's a horde of fans that do not suggest, theory or wonder, but immediately exclaim smth along the lines of "Man, Kaos is such a lesbian". Just like one could say "Kaos likes wearing trousers".

Can't really say, I just view the former as a running joke that  kind of gets lost under the funnier jokes, while with the latter my main reaction is "Ah, Kaos is a bit of a masochist... funny and surprisingly fitting".

Tried and got caught up on Golden Kamuy today and I have to say this was a very pleasant surprise. Not only was I not expecting it to be this good, but it also wasn't what I wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was expecting this to be a grim dark series similar to Ninja Scroll or Basilisk, but was surprised at how humorous Sugimoto and Asirpa could be, at the great chemistry between the two and...damn, I really like Asirpa: she's badass, she's funny and the show does a really good job with her expressions.

  19. Got caught up with Comic Girls and this latest episode's new character was pretty funny, especially Kaos' reactions to her, kind of reminds me of Nekozawa from Ouran. Also liked how in the second half they actually followed up on that little reveal with the teacher in the last episode.

Also watched the latest episode of Hinamatsuri, first half was as funny as I expected, while the second half...wow that's a Nat 20 hit to the feels. Got me really invested in seeing what happens to Anzu next episode. So glad I waited till after I got home from work to watch this episode or this would have been me:
