  1. Well, for the DS there's the Phoenix Wright games and 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors (the latter being from the creators of the Infinity series).

For the PSP there's Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, Sweet Fuse: At Your Side, Growlanser IV: Wayfarer of Time (this one may or may not be above your length limit).

For the PS3, there's the Blazblue games.

  2. With only a couple hours left for the kickstarter I gave some money to back it. It's currently a little over 300 away from its next stretch goal, which is for more fight scenes and a level up system. Hope it hits that, but it's a shame the ero scene stretch goal is unlikely to be hit

  3. My first visual novel...that's actually a tricky question to answer. The first game I played that introduced me to the concept would be Vanguard Bandits (Epica Stella in Japan) with it having routes for three of the heroines, though technically it's more of a strategy RPG than a VN. Perhaps a closer game to consider my first would be Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars, Growlanser 2 and 3, or Inuyasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask (I can't remember which of those I played first), even though those are hybrid VNs as well. As for my first pure VN, that would be Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

All in all I'd say those games got me into the genre because of their character focus and because I liked the idea of seeing more than one story or ending to a game.
