I took my laptop to get fixed and forgot that my wallpaper was a slideshow of various anime characters in revealing Santa costumes. The look he gave me after it was fixed was really judgmental.

Confession: I've played 55 hours of Fallout 4 and am kinda sad that I have to go to uni today unlike the weekend where I could literally play all day

Confession: I feel really happy and peaceful right now. I've been watching a streamer I really like and he (with his friends) was talking about random stuff while one of them played a chill game and it made me think about a couple things. I realized my life is actually really good compared to a lot of things it could've been and made me realize that the future is gonna be so much greater.

My first AFA concert/ participation is last year.

Line 3 is true, so any advice? Are IRCs still being used today, what good ones might I join? Have never used one and not sure how convenient it is for it to be on mobile, consumes lots of data?

Keep yourself strong if you can.  Find something to anchor yourself to that you can be proud of.  Writing, drawing, an art you can excel at or a hobby you can immerse yourself in, preferably both.  From there you can keep yourself improving and push through when things go sour.

The thing about the BETA is that they're horrifying to engage and their strength in numbers push you to need MUCH more than one person to stand a chance. Moreover, Samurai/Dynasty Warriors games (from what I've seen) are just having fun messing up hordes and hordes of enemies with an overpowered character, which isn't exactly the sort of thing going on in Muv Luv. I don't think it would fit in well with the story or atmosphere of the game.

Confession: I really need to fix my nail biting habit. It's gotten to the point where I bit a hole through the base of the nail on my thumb. And yes, this is actually possible. One thing I've learned from this nasty habit is that when you gnaw against the grain of your nail, you can actually chew off parts of your nail that aren't at the top. It's less painful than chewing the top of your nail until you start touching the skin underneath it. After that, it hurts like hell! Now I'm gonna have to deal with a weird gap in my nail until it grows back properly.
Having an anxiety disorder sucks. Also, after talking it over with my psychologist, I'm starting to realize how deeply embedded this is due to my childhood. I'll always have a lot of respect for my step dad and the discipline he instilled in me, but the toll it has taken on my mental health ended up being too much. He used fear tactics to keep me in line, and there was never a time where I wasn't nervous around him.
At least my therapy starts Tuesday!

So it came to my attention recently upon reading the G-Senjou no Maou CG thread that there are some members of the community who believe the Japanese developers are the ones responsible for setting restrictions on their games when they are delivered overseas. I want to clarify that point a little bit so people understand who is making all the decisions.
A long time ago, Mephisto (an old member of Fuwanovel) and I did a live stream translation of Cocoro@Function! by Pulltop. After uploading some of the previous recordings we did to YouTube, I noticed that after a few months I got 4-5 copyright strikes and my videos were taken down. Pulltop yakuza jokes aside, I initially thought the company itself was the group who claimed my videos and had them taken down. It turns out that was not the case.
In Japan, there is a group called the Ethics Organization of Computer Software (EOCS). Functioning much like the ESRB, it aims to promote a sense of ethical responsibility with respect to the production, distribution, and use of computer software. In this case, adult PC games and mobile games. To give you a better idea of what it actually does, here are some of its responsibilities:
Support bishoujo games Combat software piracy Provide scholarships for students interested in becoming software designers Recognize good retailers (segregating games of different ratings, etc.) Essentially, this is the group responsible for setting the rules of distributing eroge. It functions much like a committee, meaning that every developer who is interested in selling their products in Japan must be a part of this group. They are also the group responsible for creating the "Japan Sales Only" label and are allowed to remove developers from their committee should they break protocol. In other words, the EOCS determines how games are localized overseas. If a company doesn't follow their strict set of rules, they are removed from the group and are no longer able to sell their games at retailers in Japan (i.e. = Sofmap).
