Sekai Project just announced the Hoshizora no Memoria kickstarter with the potential for the fan disc as an add-on. Which means you'll have to pay extra for it even if you back the main game. I honestly don't really support kickstarters anymore but the good news is that the game is also coming to denpasoft so I'll just wait for that. Denpasoft‏ @Denpasoft_pr 2h2 hours ago There will be a full uncensored version on Denpasoft with the H scenes included! Re;Lord is also getting a sekai Project steam version
  2. I will likely not make it to the end of this by the time the next vn voting begins...whatever I'll be reading this and the next one at the same time. Summer is almost upon us and I have some vacation time.
  3. I'm waiting for PE: WH to release so I can buy both games bundled together. I wouldn't be surprised if they have it ready for Otakon or even Anime Expo...it's one of their popular series so they might want to try and capitalize on that at the conventions where people pay for physical goods. It does depend on whether beta testing goes well but we'll likely see it in a few months.

Damn it. I'll have to wait and see then.
  5. The thing to take away from this is that this was ACEN's announcements. There are two more big conventions that Denpasoft/Sekai Project usually go to. I imagine that we will likely see more reveals/releases/announcements at Otakon and Expo. I've also got confirmation from Denpasoft that Chrono Clock will be receiving an uncensor patch for the game which will be free to anyone who already owns the 18+ version. So that's good for those who have bought the game...no having to pay extra unless you have the non-18+ version. No idea on release for it but probably soon considering it would be smarter to get it out sooner than later what with the game just releasing within the last few months
  6. Currently on a second route for Hatsukoi 1/1. I was planning on going to Chrono Clock next but with the news of it getting uncensored I might just wait til that is available before I start it.
  7. Denpasoft finally got their own panel at a convention. ACEN Announcements ChronoClock will be coming out completely uncensored! The update will have all of the original CGs without mosaics! (no idea on how this will be distributed nor whether they will charge extra for it) G-Senjou no Maou: 18+ Unrated/Uncut Edition. (The previously Steam only title is getting a proper release finally...here's hoping the game is not cropped like the Steam version though). Eternal Hour: Currently in kickstarter seems to be a western vn but with 18+ content and time manipulation of some sort. Re;Lord: Strip Battle SLG with comedy and a light/under 10 hour or so linear story...has sequels/spin-offs and from the company Escude Wagamama High Spec 18+ confirmed to be coming to denpasoft soon

Cool looks like I can finally buy G-Senjou no Maou if the game ends up not being horribly cropped. Honestly I'm quite glad they finally gave denpasoft a panel...about damn time.
  9. I will likely be picking this up. Even if it's mediocre at least it's something and I'm still a fan of JAST because of it's golden days and really pushing the visual novel medium outside of Japan originally in the first place. Eiyuu senki doesn't look too bad and at least it's a full game.
  10. One is official for PC and the other is a ps3 fan port. Basically if we want more games like 18+ eiyuu senki we have to show them with our support/money. The translation could also be different from the ps3 version which was done by a different company. It will be hard to pinpoint exactly how different it is until the game releases...that shouldn't matter though if you liked the game buy it and show support for more games like it.
  11. JAST just announced that Eiyuu Senki 18+ will be released this summer and pre-orders are now available. This is a gameplay visual novel and while you can currently buy it on ps3 for 39.99 the PC version is going to be 40 as well. Apparently though it's coming with multiple box editions. About Eiyu*Senki is a massive game of world conquest and cute “moe” girls from history, featuring art by Oyari Ashito, Eiyu*Senki is a sophisticated adult strategy game with fabulous gameplay, story, characters and art. Featuring genderbent cute girl versions of such historical figures , you get to interact with dozens of cute girls as you conquer the world, creating your own personal harem along the way. Set in a world run by powerful nations; heroes battle one another for control. Releasing for the first time outside of Japan uncut and uncensored! Coming Summer 2017. --AVAILABLE IN THREE EDITIONS-- REGULAR EDITION = $40.00 (honestly the best deal unless you really want the overpriced soundtrack/art book). - Game on DVD - Manual - Download Card LIMITED EDITION = $65.00 - Everything in the Regular Edition + - Original Soundtrack CDs (2 Disc) - 6"x9" Character Art Cards COLLECTOR’S EDITION = $90.00 - Everything in the Limited Edition + - 60 Page Artbook --REQUIREMENTS-- OS: Windows 7/8/10 CPU: 1.6GHz or better RAM: 1GB HDD: 3GB Video: 1280x720 Graphics: DirectX9.0c
  12. I received my physical edition today but unfortunately was not around to accept it so it's now sitting at my local post office. I'll have to pick it up after work tomorrow.
  13. Trails in the Sky Trilogy...oh wait not really the right setting or theme you requested... Err most of these are fantasy-ish Thousand Arms, Growlanser Saga, Sakura Wars, Huniepop, Eiyuu Senki, Sunrider Academy, Tales of Symphonia
  14. Rather enjoying this game so far...can't decide which route to go with quite but but it seems it will likely be Maya, Yukino, or Pizza.
  15. I'll be honest the h-scene content of pee is not my thing. I mainly backed this to support the company's well run kickstarter and them being new...hoping the game is still enjoyable if I fast forward through the pee scenes though.

    Persona

I was originally thinking AG stood for their inevitable anime version but that could easily be their extended version as well. R is likely them covering their bases for a remaster/remake. Although in thinking about it R could also stand for Persona 5 Revolution/Rebellion/Revolt/Revelation/Rehabilitated/etc
  17. I have no idea how I will be able to read this trapped in the metaverse. Not gotten to the title OP yet will try and get a few hours of play time in later today
  18. PC Recommendations: Grandia II: Long held by jrpg fans to have one of the best combat systems for the genre of game, the HD Remaster is a great PC version of the game. It comes with both english and japanese dialogue and multiple difficulty modes. The game itself, while the story is a bit cliche, is rather entertaining and enjoyable nonetheless. One point for it (or against for some) is that the game can be completed in about 40 hours which is rather short for most jrpgs. While it is not a perfect game it is one of the better jrpgs on Steam. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD: You may be wondering why I have this Final Fantasy game (all are varying degrees of enjoyable) on here and not a different game. The simple answer is that the PC HD Remaster has additional features that can make grinding a lot easier. The game comes with 5 potential boosters which do the following (hit escape to see the menu); speed mode (toggles between normal, 2x speed, and 4x speed...no skipping cutscenes and doesn't affect menus though), supercharge mode (not sure what this does but I imagine it will make people hit like a truck, Encounter Mode (increase or decrease enemy encounter rate), Auto-Battle Mode (use this along with the speed mode and grinding is easy as hell and speeds up the process), Hud mode (toggles the hud on or off so you can take screenshots). You don't have to use any of them but the speed and auto-battle mode makes grinding less tedious if you decide to do it. The story is pretty good for the most part and the characters have character and can be interesting but it is a bit boring at the beginning but gets better as it goes on...a bunch of side quests, minigames, etc... that you can do if you want (it's optional), and it's the first final fantasy game to release with dialogue (at least back when it released). Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky: This is is a great jrpg it has some quirky personalities but it has character and plot and has pretty solid gameplay while also giving you a very interesting look at the world that the game takes place in. I can't really do any game justice with just talking about it but this is one of my favorite jrpgs to come out recently. Valkyria Chronicles: A unique experience. It more or less rebooted a genre of game...similar gameplay to xcom, fire emblem, suikoden in which characters can be recruited and then can permanently die. Valkyria Chronicles gives nearly all the characters a bit of personality and it has a pretty solid story and gameplay. (romance and bread!) Tales of Symphonia: Not the best port but there is a mod to make it more manageable on PC. I was a fan of the Tales series growing up and even like it to this day even if I dislike some practices of the current PC crowd. It deals with pretty mature content and while friends and all that is a thing (it's a jrpg) it's not nearly as emphasized as something like Graces F. It has an interesting world and interesting characters with a decent story. But again unless you use the mod might be better off skipping and playing Tales of Berseria which outside of some DRM on the PC release is an excellent game with some great characters. I've not yet beaten Berseria yet but I've highly enjoyed playing it. It's quite a lot better than Zestiria imho. Nier Automata: While currently more of an action (break the mold type of rpg?) the game deserves a mention for what it's been able to do so far. It's typical Nier fashion and the first time you beat it you've only gone through about 30-ish percent of the game if that. The game requires multiple playthroughs and is debatable about whether one would call it fantasy or science-fiction. So far I'm enjoying it but it is a bit eccentric. I would wait a bit before trying this one however as the PC version just released and needs some patching. Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force (or something): Superior to the original Fairy Fencer F it basically is like Neptune games but with male characters as well. It makes fun of various tropes/genres and actually has an entertaining story. It's not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Sometimes it plays more like a vn simply because while there is definitely combat there is a lot of reading. Final Fantasy XIV: This is an MMO and people either love it or hate it but it currently has a free trial period going on right now (up to level 30 I think) in anticipation for the new expansion. Positive points: You can pick up Valkyria Chronicles, Grandia II, and Legend of Heroes on a sale for usually less than 10 dollars and X/X-2 during a squenix sale for less than 20. Console Recommendations: Suikoden II (or the series in general...I personally really enjoy V), Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia, Nier, Xenogears/Xenosaga, Shadow Hearts Covenant (or play Shadow Hearts then SH Covenant), Valkyrie Profile, Parasite Eve, Lost Odyssey, Persona/shin megami tensei series, Odin Sphere (remake version) and that's just to name a few. Handheld Recommendations: Radiant Historia (although you might want to wait as it seems to be getting a Perfect Chronology...hopefully it gets licensed), Bravely Default, Fire Emblem Awakening, Golden Sun, Devil Survivor (3DS), Etrian Odyssey series, Dragon Quest (series in general is hit or miss with people but some good games in the series...I like V), Shin Megami Tensei IV (hell the shin megami series in general), Jeanne D'Arc, Growlanser IV, Honorable Western Recommendations: Witcher series (3 if you can only play one of them), Mass Effect Original Trilogy (Andromeda will be hit or miss with nearly everyone), Horizon Zero Dawn, Divinity Original Sin (I and II), Pillars of Eternity, Fallout/Elder Scrolls Series, Dragon Age Origins Visual Novel Recommendations: Aselia, Seinarukana, Sengoku Rance, Kamidori Alchemy Meister, Eiyuu Senki, Yumina the Ethereal, just to name a few
  19. Just go up and say "Dude I'm here for my visual novel with occasional bouts of erotic passion". Admittedly adult only games are not sold in typical stores so I don't really think this should be an issue. If someone asks you what you're waiting for tell the truth and get judged...if it's enough for them to leave then obviously they were not worth it. Just don't give a damn and be honest about your interests.
  20. If someone were to edit lightning spinning around I would have thought that was Winston.
  21. Considering in the past Mangagamer has usually used the beginning of the year for nukige titles I imagine that's all we're going to get for Anime Boston. Would be nice if that were wrong though.
  22. pretty sure it was assholes. Personally I'm really enjoying Berseria but it's been put on the backlog until I finish Mass Effect Andromeda and Persona 5.
  23. unmosaiced denpasoft and nutaku versions also confirmed.
  24. I am now playing Mass Effect Andromeda and honestly outside of some poor animations and a lacking character creation system I'm enjoying the hell out of it. The Ryder's are a very different character from Shepard and this can be seen easily through the fact that paragon/renegade is essentially gone. Not sure if this was the right move but it definitely feels a bit more rpg with the potential choices you receive. The combat on the other hand flows really well and is great. Some people seem to hate the game and others seem to love it so far. The game feels like Mass Effect 1 in many ways outside of combat. Exploration is big and while sometimes things are told through some pretty cheesy dialog the game is only hurt by it if you went into mass effect expecting anything else. The first three mass effect games while serious also had some cheesy or just plain bad dialog. Overall after the first 10 hours with the game I think it's generally pretty enjoyable to play but not everyone is going to agree. It's a divisive entry into the series for a number of reasons. Also if anyone wishes to find out about the Quarians read the codex immediately after starting the game and you'll find out how they plan to introduce further milky way races into Andromeda in the future. It will be interesting if the game will improve or get worse as I play more of it come the 21st.
  25. You are also missing Symphonic Rain and a case could be made to include G-Senjou no Maou, and if I remember correctly Ef.
