  1. NEKOPARA games are in fact part of a campaign to make people buy more paper tissue packets.
  2. Gotta say thank you, really. I Found most of my favourite VNs here.
  3. Yeah, I believe the fact that the game has no frame rate limit is to blame. I didnt even know there were any combo circles until I have read about it OTI.
  4. Steins gate (Best plot ever, or at least best sci-fi plot ever) Devil on the G-string (Fucking love this VN) Sharin no kuni Cross channel (didnt like the ending though...) Fate/stay night Majikoi (incredible ammount of H-scenes, but the plot is pretty good and it is funny as hell) Kamidori alchemy meister (great except for the grinding for resources) Utawarerumono Katawa Shoujo (my starter novel ) Chaos head (liked the psychological drama bordering horror aspect) I would really like to play Muv Luv but the ****ing game just wont install and run properly no matter what. I have never seen a less user friendly VN ever...
  5. Times are changing, piracy is rampant on consoles as well, and piracy on pc has actually lowered considerably thanks to platforms like steam. The problem is that most japanese video gaming companies are stuck in past and are unaware of the possibilities of profit from the rest of the world. Besides when japanese games have poor sales, it is usually fault of incredibly shitty ports. I mean how could crap like port of RE4 on pc (the game is great, the port just sucks) even pass betatesting? And instead of fixing their mistakes, they blame piracy and are done with it.
  6. It has good deal of mystery and the plot is pretty interesting. It is not as much of a masterpiece as steins gate, but it is still well done. Depending on your psyche, it can also be a bit scary, and there were times I got chills from some scenes. However, the protagonist is fairly unlikeable.. He often gets into panic attacks, he is secluded from the society, has very few friends, avoids contact with other people, etc. I mean imagine an Otaku, and take it to ridiculously extremele levels. At any rate I would heartily reccomend it.
  7. I see. Still it pisses me off though. Blood and gore is fine but sex is not? God...
  8. Cmon man, it is a game from 2000. But still you are right, ill spoiler it.
  9. ¨Hey mom, can I buy a game?¨ ¨What game?¨ ¨Its about working in sweets shop¨ ¨Okay!¨ (I am so proud of my son, other kids play violent games, and he wants to make sweets) Do you see the pattern? The point is that if you are going to release eroge that contains explicit material, you shouldnt cut it out just to make it available to broader audience or something. Imagine they removed blood from your favourite fps and replaced guns with slingshots.
  10. Do get steins gate ASAP, quite easily one of the best stories I have ever read. Other than that, You could try Muv Luv. EDIT: Actually, get all of the stuff prom Nitroplus, they released: Steins gate, Chaos head and Notes: Robotics.
  11. Good to see that japanese developers are finally starting to open up for pc platform. I mean seriously, it is criminal that most of them ignored pcs for so long, considering the marketing potential in europe and america.
  12. Hahaha yeah, Rance. That game was glorious. Actually I liked the strategy aspect of it too, even though it was extremely simplistic... I do think that nukiges are also nice, but what I wanted to say was that people should not dismiss eroges being for freaks, because good numer of them have great plots.
  13. G.J. stuff from Sano Toshihide, purely for...ehm...scientific reasons....
  14. It´s a gaming platform that removed all H-scenes from nekopara... I mean from fokking nekopara... If people hosting steam think that a game about striptastic cat maids with a chest bounciness setting is acceptable for children just because they removed H-scenes, then I really have to question their mental state. The first thing the kid asks would be: Hey daddy, what are those bouncy things on her chest and why do they bounce more when I slide this to the right side? Cue the parents sad faces when the game about making chocolate with the help of two cute anime girls with cat ears is not what they expected it to be.
  15. Well, I dont even know the guy, but since the site urged me to post a few words... Hi, I am kinda new around here, but I hope all the same you will get better. Best wishes, hope you recover soon.
  16. Nahh, I dont necessarily mean nukige. Nukige is practically a VN where plot is a mere placeholder, with a H-scene every 5 minutes, as opposed to a well written eroge where you will encounter H-scene 4-5 at most per route of a 20+ hour long VN.
  17. Quite lot of them are depressing, And quite lot of them have extremely dark endings. For example the normal ending of heavens feel in fate/stay night where Shirou dies and Sakura ends up never being reunited with him, Or the whole Natsumi route in sharin no kuni. It really goes to show how well written some novels are.
  18. I doubt anyone actually plays Eroges for the H-scenes, they are more like a little bonus, but srsly. Also, most of the VNs I have read have better written plot than those critically acclaimed AAA moves. Speaking of the H scenes, everyone would look at you funny if you told people you play a visual novel with sex in it, but nobody will bat an eyelash when someone comes and says: ¨hey guys, I seen 50 shades of gray and enjoyed it¨ (NOTE: I am in no way a fan of that movie, I just posted an example)
  19. Did the devs of one inspired in the other or is there some kind of relation? Or is it completely unrelated?
