Welcome to the world of VNs.
Private nurse was pretty shit. See: https://vndb.org/v64
I'd suggest looking elsewhere, and comparing ratings on vndb.org. If a lot of people have rated the game it's a reliable indicator about how good it is.

As for good VNs with sex scenes... just about all good VNs contain sex scenes. There are plenty of good recommendations you can get from previous posts - see the http://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/2151-50-translated-vns-you-should-read-before-you-die/ thread. Most of those contain sex.

Confession: I spent about an hour reading public domain erotica and looking up euphemisms for genitalia.
Confession 2: Editing is kinda fun, but editing H scenes is pretty exhausting. What I signed up for only had one, thankfully, but it was pretty intense

Well I'm back from that and have to give away a little secret. While I was translating Tsubame's route I fell for Izumi so decided I would play her route last (since I always save my favourite for last). After playing all the routes, they were all great but Izumi's was as awesome as I was hoping. So for my next magic trick, I'll be translating Izumi's route too.
EDIT: This means I'll be replacing the other translator who volunteered for Izumi's route but has disappeared without doing any of it.

Make sure you don't work for this guy: http://venturebeat.com/2016/04/16/game-developers-must-avoid-the-wage-slave-attitude/

The money quotation IMO is: "You can’t 'make fun' on a schedule, under budget, on time with a bunch of people who are all grumbling about what a miserable time they are having finishing a game together."
Since the second half of that sentence is actually predicated on a failure of the first part, I'll just paraphrase this to:

I don't know how to make games on a schedule, under budget, on time.
    - Alex St. John

Although I do also really like the part where he explains that making games is not "an actual job", and that's why you should feel privileged to be shat on as an employee in that industry. I've literally never seen a better exemplar of everything that's wrong with American white collar businesses.
I hate the "love your job" mentality that pervades modern middle-class moralizing morons like this man. It doesn't make anybody any happier. Hard-working people don't get to eat dinner with their families for months because a bunch of idiots, like this clown, fail to predict how much work it would take to make, say, Madden 2016, despite having gone through exactly the same experience year after year for decades, with Madden 2015, Madden 2014, ... And then this guy comes along and tells them that, simply because they're working on video games, this is some massively privileged position that deserves their undivided love, and if they want to work on them they should be willing to throw away everything else in their lives. I guess fussing with the deployment scripts for the eightieth time so you can rev the service backing your game is doing God's work, or something.
    Screw that, and screw him.
Now, don't misunderstand. If at all possible, you should find a job you like. It makes the hours go by a lot faster, and you'll even enjoy your time there most of the time. But unless you're in the 0.01% of people who actually live to work, rather than the remaining 99.99% who work to live, you probably are better off if you don't love your job and you realize that that's ok.

Finished bodacious space pirates. It was okay. The last 4 of the 26 episodes were finally a little engaging and there were some mildly amusing character moments but not enough.  The story really never broke out of its shell being largely pointless and the drama was always fixed with incredible ease and infinite coincidences making it not much more than a kid's show. The animation was very pretty and the ED has great music at least.
Next up AmagamiSS. I've finished the first arc and so far so good.

ittaku got a reaction from XReaper in Why translated VNs will never become popular
Translated VNs, as others have already stated, are clearly only ever going to be of interest to otakus/anime/mangu/LN/Japanophile/hikkikomoris. It's a particular art form for a particular audience in Japan and therefore will appeal to those outside Japan who are interested in that inside Japan. It's also why the bulk of OELVNs imitate Japan storylines. The "visual" component is a strong feature in Japanese culture, making the ridiculously complex language more approachable from a young age for the natives in manga and animated form, then when they become adults they've become used to that as a component of their media. They're not books and never will be, but they offer appeal that books don't.

Now remind me why they actually need to be more popular outside this group? Make Japanese culture more popular outside the otaku crowd? Clearly that won't happen.  Change the medium just to increase sales, increase the popularity and keep the medium alive? Cut off your nose to spite your face and all that?

Why do you guys recommend what you think is better first? If it was either/or I could understand, but if it's going to be both, I always try to leave the best for last. Both what heroine's route I'll play and which VN I'll play.

Wow thanks, someone noticed! Yes I really am that old and have been playing VNs for longer than some of you have existed (and have kids to rival some of your ages). I'm not sure if I'm the oldest here, but definitely one of the oldest, though I'm still 14 at heart forever. I think people will be even happier about me working on Clover Day's than To Heart 2, but TH2 is one of the great classics and after starting it I had to make sure I finished it. Seeing a project through to the end is one of the things us oldies feel passionate about.

I've finally finished translating Tsubame's route and uploaded my changes so it's 100% complete (except for text on graphics). As stated previously, I'm not that strong a translator so the translate check/editor will have their work cut out for them but I feel it's reasonably solid. There's a fair amount of Kansai dialect from both Tsubame who tries to disguise her accent and much more so from her brother who does not, but fortunately I've done work with Kansai before (twins in To heart 2) so it didn't present the most difficulty.
This was a mostly fun route to translate. Her story was very easy to get involved in and she's absolutely adorable. The drama is very light and easily resolved but serves as a nice counterpoint to make her story more fulfilling. The H scenes start out very hot right from the start and then... become quite absurd by the end. I think I lost millions of brain cells on that last one. One part I did not enjoy was translating H sound effects which drove me mad in this and ended up being the main thing delaying progress. I can only face so many sucking and slurping sounds before questioning why I was wasting my time translating what looks crap by the time it's in English and this VN has more than I've ever seen. Fortunately most people gloss over the sound effects when faced with an H scene so you wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out. Anyway I'm going to take a rest from translating having finished this route since I'd rather actually play the rest of the game through than translate it now.

You'll love it. It's so easy to get into and it's hard to make your way to bad endings Characters you'll love, characters you'll hate, and some in between, but something to cater for everyone. Sorry, can't help you on the pirating side (and doing so is out of scope for this forum anyway).

I understand, it really is a show aimed toward younger audiences really, if you've seen some fights with the Clow Cards they are more like nuisances to Sakura's normal life than actual dangerous threats to her life and others. It's also about romance mostly focused on grade school kids so it can be seen as girly too. Well this anime is not for everyone I got to say, if you want more adult romance and more action with magic then you might not like this series, that much I got to say.
Okay now i'm gonna talk about the good points about the show which I think make Cardcaptor Sakura.
Sakura is in terms an ordinary girl, she has a family, goes to school, does homework, chores, hangs out with friends, goes through crushes and gets into fights with her brother, normal things for a kid her age. Until Bam!!, she is suddenly thrown on this ride to capture the Clow Cards and stop them from causing trouble. The thing endearing about her is that she was not trained or prepared for this, just an ordinary girl caught up in unordinary ordeals. In a way we can relate to her, cause i'm sure we've had a few surprises that come out of nowhere in life and then we have to adapt to it and make it part of your regular life despite not being asked for it. The focus is not just in Sakura's battle against the magic forces she has to confront, but also juggling her life along with relationships she has with those she holds dear. Be it her best friend Tomoyo, her father and brother, and her crush Yukito. Her interactions with people make the show more than just a magical girl fighting the Clow Cards, but also about fighting for the life she has right now.
It can be a great series if you give it a chance and there will be other characters introduced that will bring more relevance and spice to the plot, just wait till ep.8, ep.20, and ep.26 and see what I mean. This is all my opinion on the show, it's entirely up to you whether you wanna continue with it or not. You are in charge of you after all! RELEASE!!

I actually liked K-On season 2 better than season 1, but solely because of the ending - I can't express well just how much I loved that season 2 ending. It's been long enough that I don't recall how the contents of each season compared, but I expect I'd agree with you that the first season was otherwise stronger than the second. I actually recommend not watching the movie - it took a lot of the punch out of the ending, for me.

Finished watching K-On 1st and 2nd series. The first one was excellent. The second series really lost all the magic the first one had and was only okay. It felt like they cashed in on the popularity of the first series and got funding for a double season second series but only had enough material for a single season. The ending was still very satisfying. Strangely most people rated the second season as equally high as the first, but I guess they were all converts by then and desperate for more K-On moe. Guess I better watch the movie through just for completion though I suspect it's more of the same. Next up, all the spring season shows, but I'm only listing the old shows I'm watching here otherwise I'd capitalise the entire thread since I'm always watching 30-40 shows concurrently...

I mean 46 years old, really (Not that anything wrong with that though, just surprise a little bit)).
