  1. The latest Little Busters! Refrain episode (6) had one of my favorite scenes from the game, but it felt kind of underwhelming IMO. Log Horizon feels like it's starting to focus on a main story arc. Otherwise I haven't watched much else except for the weekly Kill La Kill and Kyoukai no Kanata. That synchronized dancing part was a bit too much for me in KnK, but it was otherwise fine I guess.
  2. Are you still seeding the torrent? I'm just going on a guess, but I think that might be the issue.
  3. I checked Mandarake since I often find older game there, but they don't seem to have it unfortunately. The only Quartett! related things I could find are the visual fan book, figures, and some doujinshi. I'll PM you a link if I ever see it in my VN purchasing quest. edit : It seems there is an option to request a sold out item on paletweb.com, but their asking price for Quartett! is ungodly. (174$!!!)
  4. Just got an e-mail saying that my order of Sengoku Rance got cancelled because it was sold out. Sadly there are no longer any listings for it on Mandarake, I guess someone beat me to it. 4500JPY was a real bargain IMO. Might look into importing something else I guess.
  5. My copy of Umineko No Naku Koro Ni Chiru is waiting at the post office, gonna have to pick it up tomorrow! I've also been eyeing a used copy of Sengoku Rance. I can't help but chuckle when I see how much it goes for on J-List. (Well, their prices on all their japanese language VNs are outrageous to be fair.)
  6. You can choose, I've done Hanako's and Shizune's so far. I've started over on Sengoku Rance again, this time taking the time to read the story carefully rather than just focusing on the gameplay. It's turning out to be quite enjoyable, better than I expected, all the historical references/parody are pretty amusing. I'm back to the Demon Xavier part, but I'm much better prepared so hopefully I'll manage. (edit : beaten to the reply)
  7. A classic from my youth : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaKl2vBR4Sg
  8. Gingitsune is officialy my crying show of the season, I felt pretty silly crying over a show about furry animal spirits haha. >_>;; Log Horizon has been interesting so far, Akatsuki ftw! Though Serara's voice was a bit annoying.
  9. I don't know how Kanon 2006 could cheer someone up, it's one of the anime I cried the most on lol. >_>;; I finished Ichigo Drop today. It was very touching, I really liked it. I also watched the Hanasaku Iroha : Home Sweet Home movie, which was very good, watched Ishida to Asakura, which was funny but not that great, and started House of Five Leaves.
  10. I thought I would focus a bit more on EO:U first, but I caved in and bought it already. This is actualy my first Ace Attorney game, I've only ever tried the WiiWare version of the first one, but didn't really have the occasion to play more. I'm enjoying it so far, currently still early in the second case.
  11. I've never tried the game though I've been curious about it. I only have the cards that came with the Little Busters! Perfect Edition and I admit I haven't really looked into trying the game before seeing this topic. I think I'll look into it, I play MtG with my IRL friends so this could be interesting.
  12. I hated a bit on the game in the past, mostly because of rape scenes and gameplay that sucks hours out of your life without you realizing it, but I started yet another new game of Sengoku Rance during my last two days off. Things were going pretty well, my territory was getting pretty large, but now the Demon Nation has started taking over remaining kingdoms over the map, suddenly attacked me from my vassal kingdom of Uesugi with an astounding number of successive attacks during which I barely managed to lose only one territory and now they've taken over Takeda as well... Things are looking grim in Rance kingdom... damnit. >_< edit :
  13. They can be as gory as they want if it works for the story, I just don't like gratuitious violence that brings nothing the game. That said I haven't really encountered much of it since most of the VNs I have read were rather non-violent, but I have at least one scene that comes to mind that I found somewhat disturbing.(Sengoku Rance spoilers)
  14. I finished Hanasaku Iroha yesterday, still have to watch the movie. I must say I was really impressed, it is quite deserving of the praise I had seen. A finely crafted anime. The story and characters were filled with depth despite some falling into certain obvious archetypes, The animation was also top notch and very pleasing to look at, all in subtlety, like the rest of the show. The whole crew of Kissuisso really grows on you as you watch the show.
  15. If I add up all my game times on Xbox 360, then I guess I must've put around 300 hours into it, still haven't finished main quest. >_>;; My first character accounts for about half that play time, but I've been toying with various builds from time to time since then. I haven't played much in a while though, except when I started a new game a few weeks ago. That has always been my problem with Elder Scrolls games ever since Daggerfall : I get distracted by the side stuff, and end up barely doing the main quest. That and I always feel like trying out new characters.
  16. Everone had some very interesting things to say, thank you solidbatman and Tay for making us reflect on our community. I myself haven't been able to post as much as I would like or follow every topic, so I guess most of the bad stuff must've gone way over my head. Having visited many forums since the late 90s, I've learned to stay away from internet drama as much as possible, and I got a very friendly and accepting vibe from Fuwanovel right from the beginning. With maybe one or two exceptions that I can think of during all my time here, I don't remember seeing anyone particularly antagonistic or arrogant towards fellow members or staff. I've always posted on just one or two forum at a time, and right now the only other forum I've settled in is a very small forum with a handful of members from a dead forum we used to post on, so I guess that means I like it here. B) Also, I liked REtransInternational's tribute to Aaeru. ^^
  17. I was personally a fan of Grimmer, aka The Amazing Steiner, but Inspector Lunge and Tenma himself were pretty cool as well. I'm a big fan of Naoki Urasawa.
  18. I finaly cleared the first stratum in Etrian Odyssey Untold. Fenrir and his pack of wolves were tougher than what I remembered from the original, but it was pretty satisfying.
  19. I remember not getting into Hyouka that much the first time I watched, though I still enjoyed it, but it seems I'm enjoying it much more this time. Seeing the animation in HD this time around certainly helps, and the whole mystery/detective aspect is really fitting with what I'm reading in Umineko no Naku Koro Ni recently.(On a much less demented scale I guess.) I don't remember much about the second half of the series though, so we'll see if I end up getting bored after all. I think I also feel that way about K-On. There wasn't a single character I disliked, the music was better than I expected, and it was overall very endearing. It made me smile more than tear though, I was beaming most of the time while watching this. I started Btooom! when it first aired, but I failed to keep up with it at the time. I might have to pick it up again eventualy, I was pretty hyped about it back then.
  20. Kyoukai no Kanata seems to finaly be getting somewhere. This episode renewed my hope that KyoAni might deliver in the end. Also, Kill La Kill, hells yeah. Each episode has been a blast so far, and I'm loving the artistic direction.
  21. I've been working on finishing my old game of Umineko as I finaly found a physical copy of Umineko Chiru for my collection. Currently pretty deep into chapter 3 I think. I have no idea where this is going, but I love it.
  22. I really enjoyed Angel Beats as well, not necessarily one of my tops, but still one of those shows I have fond memories of watching. AnoHana I found pretty good as well, but I must've been too hyped as I didn't enjoy it quite as much as most people led me to expect. I might still rewatch eventualy though. I watched the K-On! movie last night, and finished season 2 the night before. This show has really surprised me. I was sceptical of the hype, but I loved it from beginning to end. The movie was very good as well. :3 Otherwise I've been stalled in pretty much everything else except my weekly shows as I continue to rewatch Hyouka.
  23. I finaly beat that stupid giant head in Ys II, so I can now get out of the lava caves and move on the getting lost in the Shrine of Solomon... yay! -_-;; Well I'm still enjoying this despite how annoying some bosses can get. My favorite is still Ys The Oath in Felghana by far though. I also finaly passed the map I got stuck on months ago in Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn on Wii. I can now continue the saga that started last year as I e-bay-ed FE Path of Radiance. These two are some of the hardest console srpgs I've played when you try a no-death playthrough. It was worth the 100+ houres I spent on Path of Radiance though. I'm almost done with the 1st stratum in Etrian Odyssey Untold, but got slaughtered as I tried to kill the boss.
  24. Yeah, that was definitely one of my favorites lately. XD
