as a developer who ->is <- promoting VN with these websites heres what each as done for me: JAST USA / J-List = none, never got a reply back from them. they only promoting well known VN. Mangagamer = age restriction, orgy games x10 popular and less people show up for the story. Sekai Project / Denpasoft = none, they just kickstarter anything that they liked. VNDB = its not perfect but without it we wouldn't be able to find old VN. it does bring in views so ya it works well. Fuwanovel = honestly, you guys haven't been supporting it. the only popular VN get supported but that's only if the game becomes translated to english. 4chan = 4chan is dead Steam = no, not even once. you have to pay $100 to enter a VN and if you want greenlight that will be another $100. thats not the worst part, you lose money when ever they decide to make a (name discount sale). lastly the worst part is that your VN might not even get money because people could ask for refund if they finish it under 2 hours (the fast click is real). Kickstarter = yes but only if people do it right. YouTube = more or so, the trick is to get people to subscribe to your channel. <insert pirate site here> = none, we all know they don't support anyone. Random site? = indie bloggers do help get people to play, then there's deviantart, and wiki, and google+ (thats right), and itch.io, and lastly in my list indiegamestand. p.s OELVN is so over used in fuwanovel, no one calls them that anymore.

i have over 1000s of reports that claim that no one saw the final value, its your word agents 1000s. yes its hidden, if you dont check the 100 page user agreement then yes its hidden. if you sell something for the first time there will nothing saying about final value, it will stay hidden until you are hit with a bill. dont make claims that you don't know, i been through the ebay path you haven't.

I've only ever listed one item and I don't know how they determine the insertion fees, but mine was free and when I went to take a screenshot today it was also free. So it seems to me like you really just need to pay more attention. no its not insertion fees, its final value fee. look at this from ebay: they never told you about final value fee in their seller website, that's what many lawyers call hidden fee.

so i just got a email from ebay saying that i'm forced to pay $50+ just for listing my items. now here's the funny part, if i don't agree to pay then under the user agreement: thats right they will take action by contacting the government. theres no way around this and many users have been rip off by ebay for hiding the extremely small important information. another thing is that no you won't even win the case in court or even have a court date. under the agreement that you first sign to make the so call "free account" you agree that you read the fees and knew about ebay contacting the government. my advice, DON'T USE EBAY!

you need something to convince them, sure anyone can translate a few words but without a good reason or good examples you are left with nothing to offer. if i had the power i would open up to the indie developers in jp, they would totally open their doors to you. thats when you charge people but at the sametime do a little for practice so you can't be seen as greedy. after maybe 100 projects you could ask studios, then websites, and finally the big boys. these takes years to make, don't rush it.

just make it digital, save the trees, make profit, how hard is that to understand.

i know the problem, english ways is about rules that has to follow. in other countries, they do not follow the english rules but the way in which their language should be follow. remember english was never meant to be a language, its more like a code for the military. if you were to spoke english in the war days of british vs (name eu area here) you would likely be killed for being in the military. so yes english is a mistake to begin with, you americans never knew that and decided to use it

guys the truth is that there is nothing we can do (unless you want a unoffical TL), the company feels that english community is not a good profit. i can understand why they want to stop translating it, the english community does not respect VN the same way as JP or any other countries. now this does not mean its right but they don't need their games to be criticized badly with the english community anymore, they need profits to bring it back.

welcome to the forum, although i think you got VN and RPG mess up. yes its true that they both have story lines but the gameplay is different as well has engines that developers use. 90% of indie developers use renpy to build the VN that does require coding in many aspects. RPG maker series is what many called "cheat engine" due to over promising the customers, you are limited to what the company has inplant. As i said RPG and VN gameplay are completely different, RPG is about exploring and fighting a lot then fighting the final boss that may or may not kill you. VN are stories things that we follow in the writing language, the ultimate goal is to make the player feel something or have connections to something. i hope this helps you understand the difference between them.

i believe Grisaia has better story and better characters than Princess Evangile. Grisaia - characters force you to think, the story is original, and the characters look like normal human beings. Princess Evangile - cherry love story, girly things everywhere (its too much), and the characters are being unrealistic (why can't they just bully him or something).
