  1. except Narcissu 1st & 2nd, Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, and Rising Angels: Reborn, every other game that they ever made cost over $10 (yes i know there's a steam summer sale). some like Sunrider Academy will be hard to get, so dont think its easy to get them.
  2. oh i don't, Sekai Project has done nothing but translate VN. its so easy to translate something even the art can be easy to translate. you know why it cost a lot more to translate the words into english, its because they are hiring people who claim to be top-nonge english experts. how hard is it to translate english, not that hard and it can be done by a high school student. oh then comes the english voice actors too that also want to be paid, not all VN have them but Sekai Project translation has voice actors in them. so ya its bad business when they hire random people to do many easy jobs, many japan people would have kill for a change to get that much money.
  3. guys look at it in a different view, all the games they help supported are just for paid games. yes they got some rights to certain games but what does that do to Sekai Project, nothing. just being popular is not a good way to say "we make money" it doesn't work like that, it's not how business works. they don't support freeware indie because they are only interested in games that give them that extra boost in their projects/company. i rarely see any VN developers ask for reviews on IGN, PC Gamer, and indie game magazine. they all believe that their game will never make it, they think that the site will refuse to put story games on it, they think the site is for better games. well many vn are better than the games that reviews thrown at, they know what real games are and that's what makes a good company. Sekai Project has nothing but fans to offer which is not a income, however many people think they can gain help from them, which is completely wrong. Sekai Project is bring bad practice to VN developers, you can't never expect a project to run well. things like computer dying, bugs in the game, inactive people, and (goodness forbid) someone dying might happen saying no to it will be someone's downfall once it actually happens. another bad practice is how they do use crowdfunding on almost any project, that's not how real life game industry does it, funding for a game is needed yes but asking people to give money will get old, too many projects will make people consider to only give money for whatever they can help spend money on. lasty it doesn't teach the developers anything, no i don't mean this in a art, code, music, and teamwork way, it's relying too much of a good thing kinda problem, the real world never works like that either does business professors. so final words is yes, i do believe that Sekai Project is doing bad business.
  4. what about developers, we have them at fuwanovel... that's that mean we are gods to everyone who lives on land
  5. i dont see any difference, they are only bigger and smaller. 800x600 1280x720
  6. i know it sounds like that but this is the best i can do, not many people talk about this topic.
  7. In my game, Serious to the End, it tells of Aya being depressed with her life. Now understand this happens in real life too, many even taking it as far as killing other people for a happy ending. This doesnt happen in America it also happens in other parts of the world, it can be many reasons but the end result is the same. The game I made is to help people understand how suicidal people feel and how it's never that easy. I'm starting a campaign+crowdfunding, to help rise money or even spread the word about suicide. You dont have to buy my game but if you do, it will help raise money for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. They will use the money for education, research, advocate for public policy, and support those affected by suicide. Help spread the word or help with the funding, its up to you. https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/27606-suicide-awareness-funding p.s: (to fuwanovel's i have no idea if i did the blog right, how do you use this thing?!)
  8. its finally out! buy the game at itch.io, amazon will have it available soon, and also wildfire games.
  9. guys you cant force a developer to make longer games, especially on VN. its true that most developers might make games longer but often times people can just skip cutscene, enemies, and quest. trying to make games longer is not an answer, i do believe most developers would stop using steam all because of that loophole. steam might take action on its own policy but that rarely happens, so most likely developers wont bother with steam any more. its getting worst and worst with steam, first it force developers to pay $100, pay again for greenlight, and now they must lose money whenever a player "feels" that the game is bad. bad move steam bad move.
  10. nope but hitbox will, then it will take on steam, youtube and the world.
  11. the vn it describes the characters way better than the anime and they are more cutter on the vn.
  12. How much customization does this engine allow? Can I program features in that they don't have yet, such as a backlog using their TyranoScript? without tyranoscript you can build a simple VN, however renpy does that has well. if you want to build a backlog you need to learn tyranoscript which is not any language that people have posted on youtube or such (you must learn it). even with tyranoscript you are still limit to what it can do, so building a RPG is completely out of the question. Is there any built in support for options? you mean the choices? ya that should be there, renpy also has that option. both have the same standard "jump" command. What about things like text color? easy to spot, renpy also has it. hope that helps.
  13. china is being smart for once and also hentai stuff are not banned only the popular shows are banned.
  14. updates, updates everywhere. video trailer for the game is up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHdeC82mv0M&feature=youtu.be * also the game is now only english and spanish version. i could not stand with google misleading me on japanese and delaying the project. * the price is still the same, only $2 * android version will be available at amazon as well as separate OP systems such as mac, linux and windows. * full download of everything (including android) will be place on itch.io and fireflower. * support for rising awareness in suicide death has been made in thunderclap: [waiting for approval]
  15. i agree what everyone said, reviews are so random at this era and almost anyone can start a review service. one game that has been getting mix reviews is "Freedom Planet", out of all the websites i can find only one person did it right. many reviewers saw freedom planet has a clone to sonic which of course is wrong, if they had ever played it they would seen more than just sonic stuff. these kinds of random reviews is what makes developers like me not want to ask for one. the fear of being called out on your games bad review is almost certainly not helpful, even when you try to get a job in the gaming development industry.
  16. ya this game will be hard to get, harder than the gameboys. i'm going to skip as well.
  17. Yggdra U nion - We'll Never Fight Alone, one of the hardest gameboy and hardest VN to this day!
  18. certain types of VN dont work with renpy android VN engine, most common is the dating simulator it has too many unknown language for the android to pick up on. these things can be from videos, images, or renpy itself, this list shows examples of what an android can support: http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html another problem could be from your old cellphone, the VN could have been build for newer version but not for older versions.
  19. its an old novel from the early days of japan anime, one of the best novels in that time as well. watch one of the episodes to get the feeling of it.
