Post updated with new characters and a corrected text box, though I am aware it is still a bit too large. A demo will be made available in the next couple of weeks.

Check initialize.tjs to make sure the patch file is in the correct location, and if the game is using an encryption plugin, make sure that the patch file is encrypted correctly, or decrypt all of the files and remove the encryption plugin.

Deredere heroines in a school setting? Boy do I have the options... Hoshizora no Memoria Sky Full of Stars/Miagete Goran G-senjou no Maou Princess Evangile (slight stretch but she's basically nice/friendly to the protag from the getgo) Fureraba Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji Coincidentally, outside Fureraba, in all the options listed (including MajiKoi as you mentioned!) the Deredere character is my fav. Go team derederes! Though I'd argue Miyako is a strange mix of deredere/yandere/kuudere

I just started Mashiro Iro Symphony. It's one of the VNs that prompted me to start learning Japanese (along with Konosora), so it's time to finally tackle it

I'd go beyond that and say sometimes the translator even asks the editors for ideas while they're translating on how to tackle some issues where there is no good translation for a word, name, pun, meme, etc.

"Good developer" I'm not even a good VN fan. And most of the characters are already married and their relationships will be shown in this story or the follow up. I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew since I'm in grad school.

I'm calling BS here. There is no way that route is a 5.3. I'd say it's very much a 5.4, at the very least.
