Lucius Posted July 31, 2016 Share Posted July 31, 2016 False. I've come to find them rather corny and saccharine nowadays. At other times, they can feel rather preachy (New Police Story). I hate it when movies force a rigid moral obligation onto an audience like that in sacrifice of a good story. Teaching kids a lesson in morals is fine and all, but when done wrong like Jackie Chan movies, they can feel melodramatic, like a Hallmark Channel movie.
